The rooms were overall very clean and housekeepers did a great job at maintaining the cleanliness and comfortability of my stay. The owner was very friendly and talkative and made me feel safe. From what I understand, there are several regulars who choose to stay there when doing business in the area. I believe I will be back in the future! Free breakfast, pool, and treadmill was nice to have compared to other places.

On 03/04 - 03/05 2022 My wife and I booked a stay at this inn. We were in room #117, we grabbed…read moresome food then came back to the room to get some sleep. During the night I was awaken by an itching on my left arm. I scratched my arm and went back to sleep. The next morning I noticed three bites on my arm by my elbow that looked like bug bites. I didn't feel well so I stayed in the room while my wife went to spend time with our family. I asked her to bring me some aspirin and rubbing alcohol for my bites. I woke up around 11:50pm and my whole arm was swollen and red and hot to the touch. I went to the front desk and called the lady on shift and told her that something had bitten me in my bed and my arm was swollen. I asked if she would fill out a report so management would be aware. She stated that she didn't have any reports and she would tell them instead. I went to the car and sat and smoked for awhile thee went back to the room. My wife was in the shower so I pulled back the sheets looking for what could have bit me. I asked my wife if she was itching or if anything bit her she said no. On my way out I stopped by the front desk again and there was another lady there and I informed her of what was happening and we were leaving. I asked her to please do a report for management she said that she would hand write a note and attach it to my bill and we could both sign it I said ok. My wife took me to Urgent care and they said infact I was bit and I was have an allergic reaction. She prescribed 7 medication. I was told I needed to see a doctor asap or return to them. My wife has made my appointment so I will update after.

And another day has passed for our wait. We actually drove by this place earlier today. Beautiful boarding house. Restaurant in a separate building which appears newer. And here we are after dinner on friday night. All foods were basic prep of days past. So...rather plain, not much seasoning. But real good handmade everything. We selected brisket and chicken. Both were good. Scalloped potatoes and baked beans, also real good. Beans probably our favorite. Dessert of a brownie and mud pie cake. The cake was new for us. A glass of white moscato was good. Small bottles of Sutter Home. Guessing, not much alcohol is consumed here. Owner Bob, stopped and told us wonderful story of this place which in distant times, his wife's family homesteaded the farm here. She operates the lodge and they live there also. Part of the original house makes up the hotel lodge. We did not tour the lodge/bed and breakfast house. Amazing story and pleasant staff, atmosphere and overall experience. Special events can be booked here. The restaurant building is a long-time-ago barn. No appearance of that now.
