I just love my pup Ruby. She has the sweetest personality and is all love all the time. Phil and Karen were great through the entire time I waited for her to be born. They gave me updates and kept me well informed. I absolutely recommend them and when I'm ready for a second pup, I'm definitely going back to them. The process was smooth and worth every penny. Stay away from PKY Danes. An acquaintance of mine purchased a puppy from them and the puppy was infested with fleas. They ended up with an infestation in their home and had to have a professional exterminator get rid of the infestation. Please stay far away. read more

A word of warning. I've been told that priority for being offered a puppy is based on the date you pay your deposit, at which point you are placed on a list. Then customers are offered puppies based on their position on the list. PKY Danes has been reluctant to tell me my position on the list, despite repeated requests for this information. They have had my deposit for nearly 6 months and I only just recently found out that I am #29 on the list (implying I was #38 before the last litter of puppies was sold in March). This very likely means another year before my turn. My experience has not been favorable, but I hope yours is better than mine. My caution... before placing your deposit, I recommend you ask where you are on the list. If they don't want to tell you, you might be in for a long wait. read more

Phil is incredibly dishonest, a poor communicator, and only accepts payments for his dogs via pay pal friends and family (a service that is only supposed to be used to transfer funds amongst family members, not to purchase goods or services); he does this so he doesn't have to pay the 3% fee that pay pal charges for sales and so he doesn't have to declare these purchases on his taxes ( a real stand up guy). He eventually wouldn't give the dog to us even though we posted the money to him. STAY AWAY FROM THIS JACK WAGON! Better off adopting a rescue dog than paying a ton of money for one of his overpriced dogs! read more

We have had a wonderful relationship with Phil and Karen for the past four years. Our Dane has been well mannered and has had no health issues. They are the most wonderful couple and ethical and responsible parents of wonderful sires and dams. They consider Danes a passion and take full enjoyment in what they do. I would definitely recommend them, but I would STRONGLY SUGGEST to really evaluate if you are ready for a Great Dane. These are huge animals that people would love to keep but you really have to know what you are getting into so the animal does not end up homeless in a shelter. read more

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE PKY Danes. We found online and saw all the positive reviews and thought we would have a good experience. The most unprofessional business with poor communication that borders on nonexistent. Only responds to texts/messages between hours of 12am and 2am. Good luck talking to them on the phone before 11pm at night. We put a deposit down on a great dane on 1/11/20. As the date approached closer to when we would get the puppy (first week of May as puppies were born 3/12/20, Phil couldn't tell us when we could have the dog/exact date and kept blaming transportation (although he had said we could have the dog at 8 weeks). My husband took time off work and he delayed the day we could pick up the dog or have the dog delivered. And if you want to pick up the dog he won't let you come to get him/her unless its after 6pm. Will not work with you at all or try to accommodate you as the buyer. We couldn't get a guarantee about a delivery via transport as we live out of state first it was 2 days then 10-15 days. We were going to have to drive 12+ hours to pick up the dog and then magically 4 days beofre we were leaving the transport could bring the dog in 48 hours (phil called us to say this and then tried to blame us for "all the back and forth"). We called to verify transport and Phil mentioned wanting PayPal via friends and family instead of goods/services for the rest of the payment as we had done for the deposit and as is recommended by Paypal since you are in fact buying a good from them and they are not your friends/family. It took several days to link and verify payment which he could have requested months/weeks ago instead of the week of delivery. He then gave our dog away to someone else because we called him out on his unprofessional behavior the day we were supposed to get the dog on the transport to deliver to us. We were only notified he had given the dog away after numerous calls/texts none of which he answered promptly. Total headache. Worst experience with a dog breeder we have ever had. read more

Phil and Karen have an outstanding and professional outlook. Very knowledgable and organized. They make you feel like family and are ready to answer anything you need to know in regards to breed. They're great danes are loving, gentle and cared for with compassion and love. I would recommend them to anyone wanting a puppy. We picked up our girl today and are extremely overjoyed. EXCEPTIONAL Experience Purchasing a Dane! The BEST breeder around! I was referred to PKY Danes from a lady online. I contacted Phil and Karen in hopes that I could visit their location due to a bad experience with a different breeder. They were more than happy to welcome me to their property. Phil and Karen welcomed me as if I were family and treated me the same. It is obvious that they take such great pride in their dogs. Phil and Karen sat outside with me talking for hours and showing me several of the beautiful dogs so I could get an idea of their temperaments knowing that I did not intend to purchase a puppy for several more months. Their dogs are exceptionally beautiful and all in great health. They answered question after question. I wound up getting my girl, Kimber, who has been the most loving dog.
