Came in on a whim after stopping by to get some things done at the courthouse. The barista was super friendly and the shop is cozy with plenty of seats and chairs and tables. Heads up only because of the prices - it's definitely boutique level cost which surprised me for a chain location but that said the quality is good and the pastry I ordered was tasty. Although I've been a customer of PJs for many years, this location does not recognize my rewards account, and the staff are no help. Then as I waited near the pickup counter for my order, the staff placed it at the other end of the counter and let it sit there for awhile until I asked about it. read more

Coffee and teas are all really good. Plenty of tables and couches available to sit and enjoy the refreshments. Love the old building and oak trees outside. The only negative, being an old building, it allows for bugs. I've killed several small German roaches throughout my visits. I've quietly mentioned it to the girls behind the counter and they already know of the issue. read more

Place was clean, and really big. Everyone was wearing masks and respecting distancing guidelines. I ordered 1 latte, and watched as the two workers behind the counter served two other people that were in line after me. After that they started doing other things (wiping down tables and cleaning up behind the register). I had to walk up to one of the workers and ask if they had forgotten my coffee. She said she was sorry, and asked again what drink i ordered. Finally I got my drink. Espresso was good, but diluted from the "skinny" vanilla syrup. I ask for only one pump, but guess they forgot that too. I'm in town for a month working and find joy being a regular at a coffee shop (usually 7 days a week). I'll take my business elsewhere. I was in town visiting family and I stopped in for a quick coffee before seeing my sister. I ordered, verbatim, a large iced coffee with a shot of espresso. The woman was pleasant enough and told me it would be a minute. I waited and looked around at what felt like the regulars looking me up and down and then asked the woman behind the cashier if they had sugar free hazelnut and they did! So she added it and I paid for that. When my coffee arrived I grabbed it and ran out. It was horrible. Just horrible. It didn't taste like coffee. It didn't fast like hazelnut. I didn't taste anything actually. I grew up visiting this town and the surrounding areas since most of my extended family lives here and this is most CERTAINLY not "new orleans coffee". Maybe I ordered wrong? I gave them an extra star just for that. read more

I came in twice today for coffee and I am completely unsatisfied with the manager Hayley and how she runs the place. She constantly ignores people and makes other employees do her job ,and she just lets her child run around do what he wants and climb and touch everything. With this COVID-19 going that is completely unnecessary. I came in later in the day with a wonderful young lady working named Mercy that was completely the opposite and smiled and helped me every which way she can and didn't act like she dreaded coming to work. Ordered 3 lattes and 3 sandwiches/wraps. I only got 1 latte, the two coffees were cold and my coffee at home is better. The sandwiches were soggy and greasy, and had ham on them when I asked for bacon egg and cheese only. Not impressed, only reason I still go is because this is the only coffee shop in picayune. read more

This is third visit here and have to say that this cafe has improved since my last visit. Cakes are now kept covered with cling so they taste fresh instead of the dry offerings of our visit over a year ago. A pleasure to visit this coffee on a Saturday afternoon. read more
