    Weekly special - el pepe
    Ivey G.

I so badly wanted to give this place a 4 star rating simply for the fact that they quoted me 45 minutes for pick up, we got there and got quoted an additional 10-15 minutes, then another 5-10. But holy cow this pizza was worth every second. I feel the prices are very fair for the high quality of the food. I'd just suggest texting back if the wait time goes up. The inside of the actual 'restaurant' is super plan, nothing to write about. But seriously if you can be patient this place is worth it!

Another great family outing to our fav Neapolitan pizzeria. One child suffers from gut issues when eating gluten, but Tasso uses imported flour from Italy which does not bother him.

What makes Pizzeria Tasso so special is that they are only open three days a week. Each week they have a new special which is always something fun to try. I find myself looking forward to when they announce their weekly special and getting excited to order it before it goes away! Besides ordering the special, we also regularly order their pepperoni and their margherita pizzas. We also love the garlic cheese sticks. I love ordering from them and seeing my pizza cooking in their oven outside when I arrive! They are usually very busy both for take out and eating in since they are only open a few days a week. Tasso is the one of the highlights of my weekend!

I've been wanting to try this for quite a while now, so my anticipation of trying it was high. We sat at a table and ordered food from a QR code on my phone. We started with the garlic cheese bread. The dough was nice and it had a good balance of cheese and olive oil with a touch of garlic. It was a good appetizer. We also ordered the weekly special which was the Pepé that had mozzarella, olive oil, basil, and cracked pepper and I added pepperoni. The pepper might detract from the flavor for many. The pizza was also undercooked a bit in the middle and had too much flop to it, as well as runny sauce. Overall the taste was good, with fresh ingredients, outside of my previous complaints. My wife enjoyed her pizza, but had similar issues with the dough and sauce. I'd like to try the cinnamon roll pizza next time and hope the minor issues we encountered are resolved.

When I first moved to Utah from New York my number one priority was to find a good pizzeria. At the very top of that list of Pizzeria Tasso. They serve Neapolitan style pies charred to perfection in their wood fire oven. The chef was trained in Italy on how to make pizza so it's as authentic as y'all get in UT. In addition to pizza there are other Italian sweets & treats on the menu (I suggest getting the cannoli). Everything was decently priced and it didn't feel like we were breaking the bank to get a decent pie. The one thing that upsets me is it's only open 3 days a week (Friday, Saturday and Monday 5-9pm) but they do have frozen pies you can take home if you're craving it during the week. Everyone was super friendly and constantly checked on us to make sure we were settled. The restaurant is a bit small but we were able to get a table pretty easily. Would 100% go back, would go just to get the frozen pie and take it home, would even go just for a cannoli.

Best oven baked pizza hands down!!!I had to rave about their hot pepper shake made with ghost and habanero that I know spicy food lovers would go crazy for! This place was crazy busy and you can tell that a lot of people inside were return customers. Servers were constantly moving. Energy was peak and pizza is simple but DELICIOUS! If you are by the area, definitely check them out

If you've ever had a wood fire pizza in Napoli Italy then you know Pizzeria Tasso pizza comes to a close second. But...first you have to get there, it's very well hidden. When talking to the staff it was told to me, some staff actually had hands on training in Italy. They have a little bit more to go in order to be a rival for Neapolitan pizza though. For example the margarita was super soggy which in turned made it impossible to pick up, and eat it without the ingredients sliding off and making a mess. I ended up using a fork but the crust was still too soggy. The basil should also be "Fresh" on the pizzas, not burnt and crunchy as in the case tonight. Once they can figure out the ratios needed it will be a go-to for sure. I would like to see their decor a little bit more inviting. Maybe add some Italian music and Italian decor. (Get rid of the white walls) I'm sure most people get their pizza to go, but more people might stay if it had more of a homey Italian flair. Ora mangiamo un po' di pizza

Friendly staff. Clean place. Quality ingredients. Overall taste, great. They know how to make a good pizza. Just know this going in.... 4 slices per pizza....so small portions. What I don't appreciate is deceit. We ordered dessert as well. Cannoli are hard to resist. Since it says cannoli, figured it was a true cannoli. NO. It's a mini cannoli. Which, I've had before and ok with ordering....because I knew what I was buying at other places. Being a first time customer, I did not know. Therefore, I bought 2 thinking product was traditional and would be enough for 2 people. NOT. EVEN. CLOSE. Since there weren't any pictures of cannoli on Yelp, I'm happy to provide one, so you know EXACTLY what you are buying.

This is intriguing. I'm not tasting today though.

I got a Tasso signature salad it was pretty yummy. We ordered a Selection of pizzas for the table. The Diavola pizza was flavorful and delicious with unique ingredients. The pepperoni is just perfect. The Margherita, just get it, it's great. They make fine pizzas. Great size for eating alone or for sharing. Take out and dine in available. Without a doubt we will be back for more in the near future. I did not get to try the Mike's hot honey yet so I've got to go back for that. It sounds super good. I can't believe I have lived 5 minutes from here for this long and did not know these guys were here, I've wasted a lot of enjoyment on other subpar pizzas. I feel fit to say that because I have traveled a lot of miles out of my way by foot, boat, plane, and automobile for pizza of this quality. The fact that they have Flatiron Pepper available inside shows you that they know what quality ingredients mean, and the pizza mirrors it perfectly. I used my Calabrian peppers from home to make sure I complimented the pizza without overpowering it (if your pizza makes me use the "I Can't Feel My Face Blend" for it to be edible, then I know I won't be back). Staff was super competent, and as friendly as could be expected for a busy Friday night. The guys running back and forth keeping the outside operation going seemed to have great attitudes, which made me even more appreciative of the hard work that went into this pizza.

Whenever I come here the margherita pizza is my go to order. I tend to be a creature of habit and usually stick to the same order once I find something I like, but this weekend I decided to try some other items on the menu. I ordered my classic margherita pizza, of course, but also got bruschetta, a cannoli, and their cinnamon roll pizza. The margherita pizza never fails - it's a classic that's always delicious. Their pizza is made in a wood fired oven that's next to their in-room dining part of the restaurant, and the wood-fired taste of their pizza is incredible. The bruschetta was also delicious. I got it to go, so it came with four pieces of toasted bread, and the tomato/balsamic and parmesan toppings in separate little containers. I was really impressed by the bruschetta - it was delicious, even to go. I'm sure it's better fresh when dining in, but was a tasty to-go option as well. The desserts weren't my favorite. I always have a sweet tooth but didn't love either of the items I ordered. The cinnamon roll pizza topping was really runny and messy. It tasted okay, but I will likely not be ordering again. The cannoli was good, but it was pretty small. The filling was delicious, and I was left wanting more after two quick bites. Overall, I love this place and their pizza. I will always be back for the tried and true margherita, and will likely also be adding the bruschetta to my regular order as well.

The pizza is good since I like thin crust. You can't really find the place until you enter from the back, from the parking lot. Love the box, fun art. The small personal pizza is perfect for one.

As the kids say, this pizza place is FIRE. Wood-fired, that is. I've come to realize that any restaurant that started as a food truck is a sure-thing. These guys are still using their OG pizza oven to whip up exceptional 'za, with the old trailer in tow. How cool is that?! Pizza of the Week: Spicy Pepperoni is a dream come true. I am a big fan of spicy pizza and this creation did not disappoint. I could have used a little less hot-honey, but my spice-wimp friends appreciated the sweeter notes in each bite. Margherita: Pizza in it's natural state. You cannot go wrong with the classic combo of sauce, cheese, and basil. It let's the dough and crust truly shine. Simply irresistible. Garlic Cheese Bread: Honestly? This wasn't my favorite. Everyone else really liked it, but after trying the other pizzas, this was an afterthought to me. (I couldn't really taste the garlic *shrug*) *OFF MENU* Cinnamon Roll Dessert Pizza: If a cinnamon roll and a pizza had a baby, this is what you'd get. Literally dripping with glaze/frosting, this is for the dessert lovers of America. Bring an extra dose of insulin, because it's hard to stop after one slice. The only things we didn't love was how loud the indoor seating area was and how soggy parts of the pizza were. But both weren't dealbreakers. Overall, Pizzeria Tasso is serving up some outstanding wood-fired pizza. Once you've located this hidden eating establishment, it'll be hard to stay away.

We tried to stop here the night before, but the line was about 80 people long. We came back Saturday midday and quickly learned why. While the parking lot was still packed, there was no line once we got inside. And once I started sampling the ice cream, it felt like it was just me floating in the clouds. Across all three flavors, the first thing that stood out was the texture. The Golden Passion Fruit was bright, the Banana Nutella was rich, and the Caramel Cashew was rich. Every scoop was remarkably dense, silky, and creamy. The Golden Passion Fruit was dairy-free, which I'm not entirely sure how that technically qualifies as ice cream. While I have spooned plenty of diary free deserts into my mouth, I have never ordered a dairy free in a commercial creamery so this was going to be a first. But after that first sample, the thought of daily free never crossed my mind. It was dense, rich, smooth, and immensely flavorful. It tasted exactly like the passion fruit I've picked off the trees just minus the seeds. It was bright and was incredibly concentrated. It was outstanding. While this wasn't my order, the person who did order this made the mistake of letting my try their double scoop dish. It was tough to give it back. The Banana Nutella tasted exactly like it sounds. The base was thick, creamy, and custardy with the banana and hazelnut flavors clearly coming through. The Caramel Cashew was also a standout. The caramel brought a deep buttery sweetness while the cashews added a roasted, nutty richness that kept it from becoming overly sweet. In the same dish, those were like rival siblings: they could hang together when they have to, but would prefer the attention be focused solely on them. Scoop sizes were standard and appeared consistent across all the orders. The young crew seemed well trained on portion control and sample limits. They were strictly by the book with two samples maximum. Luckily, someone in my group only wanted one sample, so I was able to claim their unused allocation. I wasn't ready to stop tasting and understand their limits. This may be the highest concentration of cream and dairy richness I've ever experienced in a commercial creamery. The texture was exceptionally dense, silky, and indulgent. As the legend goes - King Arthur had a round table because all the knights were equal. But as we know in real life, some are more equal than others. The Passion Fruit and the Caramel Cashew were definitely more equal, but please don't think the BN was a slouch. All deserved to be on the podium. When you start in heaven, everything else is hell. I HATE ;-) Blacksmith Ice Cream for it may have permanently ruined my perspective on ice cream!
