This is the PERFECT comfort food for dreary winter days. We have been following them on Instagram for awhile but the timing never worked out. We finally made it happen and we were not disappointed!! We tried the Panang (spicy), Massaman, and Coconut Chicken. We also treated ourselves with some mango sticky rice. My husband liked the Panang best because of the spice. I loved the Massaman and the mango sticky rice. (I might not have shared the dessert now that I think of it...) We will be definitely be back to get more of this amazing curry. Ok wow. First let's talk portions - these meals could feed at least two people per dish. I usually can eat a lot - so for my family of 3 I got one massaman, one chicken pad Thai and one shrimp pad Thai. We barely dented either of them. Definitely takes the value up a notch that I know I'll be able to eat this for lunch tomorrow! The only reason for one down star is that I've had better pad Thai before - but her massaman curry definitely stands up to others I have had before. The highlight of the show tho - mango sticky rice. Idk where she gets her mangos but wowowowow. Incredible! Just like I have had in Thailand before. Given all the COVID-19 restrictions, Suzy and her team are definitely following the guidelines to keep you safe. They are doing text/call in orders. You pay over the phone via square, and get a receipt to your text/email. You show up at their site at your chosen time and they bring your food to you car. I'll definitely be back again!!! read more

If you ever see Suzy's cute pink food truck, make sure you stop and order some food! The food is flavorful and the portions are huge. Suzy sure knows how to feed you! We ordered the Coconut Chicken and Pumpkin Red Curry. Both flavors were super delicious and I really liked both entrees. The Coconut Chicken was one of the best I have had in Utah. The Pumpkin Curry is seasonal and I so wish it wasn't! It definitely has the right pumpkin/spice ratio that I look for in a Thai dish. If it's on the menu, I definitely recommend ordering it! After hearing numerous raves on the mango sticky rice, I knew that was something I was going to order. Unfortunately, they were not selling it the night I went. However, I really liked everything we ordered and I will definitely be back to try not only the sticky rice, but other dishes on the menu. Aside from the food being amazing, the staff is outstanding as well. They were both so friendly and welcoming. I am impressed by the measures they are taking to keep everyone safe and stay open during Covid 19. If you like Thai food, you'll love Suzy Thai Food. It's a food truck that's on the move but easy to find on social media (I use Instagram for updates) or on their web page suzythai.com. It's hard to miss her bright pink truck and worth seeking out. Their bowls are big on flavor and come in huge portions. I love their Massaman curry bowl. Other great bowls I've had are the coconut chicken bowl and their pumpkin curry bowl is out of this world. I don't know if you can go wrong. Suzy is super friendly and the food comes quick. Went to the Soho food truck park tonight and had the opportunity to give STF a try for the first time. First off, the person taking orders was really nice and helpful. The menu options are a limited, but I suppose it is after all a food truck. I ordered the Massaman curry and really enjoyed my meal. The portion size was quite generous, and the curry had a very good flavor, though I'll just add that it is definitely much more sweet than it is spicy. Not sure if they adjust spice levels on request, but next time I'll likely ask them to kick it up a notch. And, yes, there definitely will be a next time. read more

Amazing! Perfectly creamy, nutty, and very very good Massaman curry with plenty of rice. It's very filling. I barely made a dent in it for dinner and I was more than stuffed haha. Suzy Thai deserves six stars. It is the best Thai food in Utah and if you're visiting or live here full time you have to try it! My favorite dishes are the Massman Curry, Coconut Chicken Curry, and Pad Thai. I really love that there is such a variety of different flavors here. They do a great job having that perfect mix of savory and sweet in their dishes and the portion sizes are large, usually there's some leftovers and I think you get a great deal for the quality and excellent flavor. The owners are wonderful people who make amazing food and work so hard. I've never had a problem with any of our orders, we always get exactly what we asked for even if it's a huge order and we've never once had even a slight issue with the service. It's tough for me to write a review of a food I've never had before. My wife and I were at the Provo Food Truck Roundup last night, and she had heard great things about the mango and coconut sticky rice here so we went to give it a try. I don't know why, but the added flower to the dish brought up the presentation by a factor of 1,000 for me. It just looked so pretty and fresh. The mango was perfectly ripe, but the rice was pretty wet and saucy. Let me again state that I've never tried this dish before. The taste was good, and the presentation was excellent. For those unfamiliar with Thai dishes, it is typically prepared to include a variety of flavors in every bite: sweet, savory, spicy, and others that will arouse your taste-buds into a Thai-licious paradise. POSITIVES: The food is fantastic quality, and served fresh. The presentation of each of their bowls is fantastic (especially the Pad Thai and Mango Coconut sticky rice). I love the decor and colors used. The first time I went, I tried the Panang curry, which puts others' to shame, including my own home made one! I've sampled their Massaman, which tastes very authentic and has a savory peanut flavor. The service has been spectacular both from the Chef, a pleasant Thai lady (could it possibly be Suzy herself), and the gentleman taking the orders. NEGATIVES: Believe me, it is hard to think of negatives. The price is affordable, considering the generous portions. They offer samples when asked. The service is flawless. Straight up, no gripes. You deserve all 5 of those stars! PRICE: about $7-10 per bowl, with plenty of food (it was even enough for my wife and I to split and feel satisfied, and I aint no toothpick. Panang curry done right! The only panang curry that really reminds me of my mom's cooking. No bell pepper or canned baby corn filler and not watered down. I love the peas (how mom made it), the thick, rich coconut base and the gentle heat. Portion size was actually greater than I expected and if I plan on eating some the next day I'll ask for it without rice. The food is absolutely delicious. However, these people follow a First-In, Who-Cares-Out method. Over 10 people who ordered after me received their food before me. I can understand making a big dish for multiple people at once and divvying it out as available instead of in any particular order, but this was ridiculous as people showed up and happened to order the right meal to get their food in under 5 minutes while I was the fool who thought I would get quick service ordering what I wanted instead of what was fastest right then. Also, if you're going to leave the tail shell on the jumbo shrimp, you need to cook it a little more to make the shell edible. Otherwise, take off the tail so I don't have to pick at my food after waiting 20 minutes for it. Edit: Thank you for the explanation! read more

I've tried most of their dishes, and they are absolutely phenomenal - lots of fresh flavor just springing forth from the dishes, gorgeous presentation, huge portions (sometimes I cannot eat the whole thing in one sitting), and everything screams quality. The service is wonderful, too. The owners are very friendly, helpful, and generous. The only problem with this food truck is that it's a food truck and not the best Thai restaurant in town. Suzy is very nice and knows her stuff when it comes to Thai comfort food. I had one of the best Thai bowls I have ever eaten. The serving size was just enough that I left full but wanting more. After talking her up to my food truck stalking daughter, we returned the next week for relief from a weeks worth of withdrawals. Suzy where are you? Again, the only problem is that its a food truck, now that winter has set in and put a strangle hold on food trucks everywhere, I have resigned myself to waiting for the next food truck season before I get another bowl of goodness. Only good place for Kow Soy in Utah. For those of you who don't know what Kow Soy is it's a soup that they mostly consume in northern Thai Land. It is curry based with egg noodles and chicken. If you like curry you will LOVE IT! The owner of the restaurant has land in Chiangmai in northern Thailand which is probably why his soup is so good! If you go you gotta try it! On the menu I think it is called the Chiangmai Soup. It's a must try!! read more

The other night as a family we hit the food trucks again since their line-up was really close at Lone Peak High School. We always seem to remember AFTER the fact. This time we remembered correctly. I'd been in touch some and following Suzy Thai Food's IG account. Their food looked pretty amazing, so I decided to give them a try (as did Greg). I opted for the Cold Noodle Salad. Honestly now that's its 2 days later I can't remember the exact name, but that's pretty much close I'm sure. From top to bottom it was layered with cilantro, chicken, peanuts, carrots, either cabbage or some kind of lettuce base, and noodles. The dressing was thin (more like a cold broth), but really tasty. Would I have it again? Definitely. I loved the combination. It was unlike anything I'd had before. Really out of all the food trucks I've tried in Utah Valley (not speaking for SLC), the Suzy Thai Food truck is easily in my top 5. It was totally worth it, authentic, and solid. I tried a German food truck the other day (i'm 50% German), and it was a total let down. I love good German food and felt compelled to give them a try, but it didn't live up to my expectations. My mom and Grandma used to make the best German dishes. The thai food I had Monday night didn't disappoint, and the Mango Sticky rice I posted the other day was out of this world incredible. read more
