Some of the best pizza we had in Italy! Seriously, the crust was SO airy and soft, toppings were delicious. Honestly, grab a slice or two from here, walk around, enjoy Como and feel good that you ate some awesome pizza! The Artichokes and Cream was unique but also delicious.

Veggie slice.

I walked past this so many times and finally decided to try a slice. Amazing! I got the veggie slice and I can't quite explain the delicious taste to it! It's soft with a slight crunch and the cheese has a crunch too. Great stop!

I absolutely loved this place during my visit to Pizzaland. In fact, it's one of my most memorable places of my trip. Being the shameless pizzawhore that I am, I had pizza at least once every single day on my trip! When in Pizzaland, act like the pizza eaters! I really didn't expect a focaccia style pizza place called "Peach Pit" in Como, which is nowhere near Napoli, to taste so freakin' good! When I first read "Peach Pit" (no relation to Beverly Hills 90210) and I saw some Flintstones pics at the place, I had a flashback of the 90's. I was a bit apprehensive but I went in anyway because... well... pizza... duh.. Also, a couple of good reviews on Yelp. I had a bit of everything. I love Napoletana pizza: anchovies. He didn't have any on display. He kindly said "Don't worry, I'll make one for you". Just like that! So I had anchovies, buffalo mozzarella, brie, 4 cheese and some other pizzas as well. Just check out some of the pics. I didn't expect the brie to be so &%*$# delicious! Holy shit! Everything was delicious! The guy offered us all free coffee and extra service. Just the nicest guy! He also mentioned that he was trained in Naples and that he gets most of his ingredients and all of his cheese directly from Naples! That explains the bleeding creaminess of the buffalo mozzarella! Just check out the pics and if you're ever in Como or close (Milan) it's worth visiting the Peach Pit (Damn! Every time I say it I get a flashback of young Jason Priestly).

It is a great little shop to hop into and grap a slice to eat there or walk around with on the go.

We had about an hour to kill in Lake Como before we had to meet our tour group. Lucky for us,…read moreL'Ambrosiano happened to be across the street from our meeting point. It also couldn't have looked more inviting. We chose to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. It wasn't a sunny day but the outdoor seating did provide shelter from the misty rain. The waiter took our order (one Valtellinese pizza) and shortly our food arrived. I found it a nice touch that the kitchen split the pizza in half so we could share it easily. We were also given plates and silverware. L'Ambrosiano is no ordinary cafe. It's a bit classier. The pizza was delicious and covered amply in braseola and mushrooms. The sauce was slightly sweet and brought the whole pizza together. I did enjoy eating my pizza with a fork and knife, a far cry from folding it in half and eating with hands New York style. What a great way to enjoy Como. It topped off our morning of silk scarves, cloud bread, gardens, and farmers markets.

The food here is great. Pizza was more expensive here than other places and tasted fantastic, but…read morenot more so than any of the other pizza places I ate at. The spicy salami was actually spicy and was extra crisped which is actually how I prefer it. The bruschetta was very good and big portion. I give it three stars because it's more expensive than any other pizza I ate in Italy and there was nothing to justify that - the food was simple nothing fancy, it was not memorable, and I wouldn't go back.
