Even though I prefer the pizza of Ferro and Farinha, I'm giving Pizzaria do Chico 5 stars! This is because this small pizza-place, located in a calm street (kinda hidden), is waaay cheaper and the taste is awesome as well (the main difference is on the quality of the ingredients, not the dough).
Heard of this place in Yelp and decided to give it a try (I live very close to it). We got there and the first surprise was that they are no longer putting tables on the street, then we see a line of people waiting and think "damn...". But it was pretty fast, people that are eating do not stall! The atmosphere is very familiar-like! Always a customer greeting the workers, other customers... very cozy! A funny thing, when a pizza is ready, they ring a bell from the top kitchen.
There are a lot of flavors and the pizza comes in three different sizes (the small is enough for two, believe me! We were in three and ordered a medium-sized, and got out stuffed!). The great thing here is the dough... it is that italian-kind: light and thin! Very good dough!
The toppings are good, not outstanding (like the ones used at Ferro e Farinha)... but in the overall, this place is better, specially because of the price! At Ferro e Farinha a individual pizza is at least R$ 30, while here with R$ 30 two can eat (and more!). read more
