    Sweet chili wings

If you're looking for a quick bite this was good. We didn't want to pay for another expensive meal @ the resort so this was an option (maybe only) we decided on. This was in Sooke on Vancouver Island, BC, and our resort was only a few minutes down the road. The pizza shop is upstairs, and had a lot of items and pizza combos to choose from. We opted for a meat combo which is our usual at any pizza establishment, and sweet chili wings. Our wait time was roughly 15 mins and, not too bad of a wait. The interior didn't resemble a pizza shop. It was only a pickup and go kind of joint. There's a slim staircase that lead to another upstairs floor for I assume managers office. The pizza was OK. It's definitely not what we're used to. All the meats were layered on top of each other to resemble a lasagna. I couldn't taste the pepperoni, couldn't taste the salami. If you've had salami you know it has a tang to it, and it actually looked like thinly slice bologna. There were a few crumbles of beef, and only sliced sausage around the perimeter of the pizza. Which was odd. I thought it'd be scattered throughout. Strangely enough the cheese had solidified when we got back to our room, which was only minutes away. The pizza sauce was decent. I think the only thing the kids enjoyed were the wings.

Mediocre pizza in a box that has "the best" printed inside the lid. If you are starving and too tired to cook then this is the place.

Really good pizza. The crust was light and crispy and the toppings were non-greasy and plentiful. Delivery was prompt and cheerful.

This has to be my favorite place to order pizza. The crust is crisp and the toppings are fresh. Delivery is always friendly and quick.

I made a reservation for two about a week in advance. I ordered the sourdough with sunflower spread from the first section of the menu, the weekly pizza from the third section, and the pappardelle, also from the third section. The sourdough arrived first, but within minutes, both the pasta and the pizza were brought to the table. We had not even finished our first piece of bread. The sourdough was a bit chewy, and the sunflower spread was underwhelming. I wished I had chosen the butter instead. The pappardelle, on the other hand, was fantastic and turned out to be our favourite dish of the night. The snap peas were crisp and added a pleasant texture, while the sauce was rich and buttery. The pizza, made on a sourdough base, was also quite good. It was light and airy, with well-balanced toppings such as potato, bacon, and snap peas. The bottom was slightly burnt, probably due to the flour used to prevent sticking, but it added a nice smoky flavour from the wood-fired oven. We finished with the pavlova for dessert. The berries tasted fresh, and the meringue had a lovely toasted texture. The service felt a bit rushed, and the courses were not staggered as expected. Although the staff mentioned the menu is structured to guide the order, this was not reflected in the pacing. Overall, it is a great spot for fine dining, despite the timing of the service

Service was prompt and friendly and they had gf designations on their menu which made my life easy. I had the house salad and the apricots on top were delish. The pizza was definitely not good, honestly, pretty much everything about it fell short. On the plus side, the beet salad was good, and the chicken wings were tasty as well. The overall ambiance here is super fun and lively. However... the service left a lot to be desired because the kitchen was incredibly SLOW. We were dining with kids, and it took a massive 50 minutes just to get our children their food off the kids' menu. Not even our main meals, just the kids' items! Needless to say, by the time the food finally arrived, our kids were completely starving. Management, please make it a point to ensure that when parents order off the kids' menu, those items are prioritized and brought out much earlier so the little ones can eat... While the space itself is great for a drink, the massive kitchen delays make it tough for a family dinner. I'd say it's fine to check out for a beer and some wings, but if you have young kids with you, be prepared for a long wait.
