The sourdough was a bit chewy, and the sunflower spread was underwhelming. I wished I had chosen the butter instead. The pappardelle, on the other hand, was fantastic and turned out to be our favourite dish of the night. The snap peas were crisp and added a pleasant texture, while the sauce was rich and buttery. The pizza, made on a sourdough base, was also quite good. It was light and airy, with well-balanced toppings such as potato, bacon, and snap peas. The bottom was slightly burnt, probably due to the flour used to prevent sticking, but it added a nice smoky flavour from the wood-fired oven. We finished with the pavlova for dessert. The berries tasted fresh, and the meringue had a lovely toasted texture. The service felt a bit rushed, and the courses were not staggered as expected.
