Polpette della casa meatballs, shaved parmigiano, house bread. $12.50
Cyn Q.

Rustic wood fired pizza. Crust isn't super thick, nice and thin with just the right amount of cheese. The pizzas here are on the pricer side ($16-19), but it's not your typical fast food chain pizza. You get to sit down at a nice restaurant and enjoy pizza with fresh ingredients. Service was speedy and food came out fast. We went for lunch and there weren't a lot of people seated in the restaurant. The ambiance here is set up for a great place to meet up friends for lunch/dinner.

Authentic style pizza. Heard good things and was not disappointed. Very tasty and price was fair value.

A fabulous find. Naples style pizza, wood fired oven. Salad starter with a honey balsamic vinaigrette. Loved the surprise crunch of a salt flake. Tomato, prosciutto, mozzarella, arugula pizza for me. Tomato, sweet red pepper, caciocavallo (a smoked cheese), mozzarella, salami, red onion, banana peppers, and chives pizza for him. And he drizzled house made hot oil in top. Sat at the counter, watched and learned from the expert pizza chefs.

Great view at the bar!

The latest location for Prima Strada is just as excellent as the rest. Located in a quieter neighbourhood than the Cook Street location, you can expect to get a table without the tremendous waits of the older locations. The seating is comfortable and you can still get a great view of the action in the kitchen from the bar seats. The lighting is cozy and comfortable, great for a date or an evening with friends. As with the other locations, you can expect some great thin crust pizza wood fired in a brick oven. The food is consistently delicious. When this location first opened the pizza could be over cooked, but the staff has a good handle on things now. Be warned, if you've never had this style of pizza before, it's not loaded with cheese or encumbered by toppings. It's a nice experience and the staff has done a good job of retaining the same quality of service and food as their other locations.

Ridiculously slow service. Food was good but 55 minutes to get a pizza is too long. Salad was tasty but it too took an unusually long time.

Local Pizza - BBQ Chicken ($3.19 per slice): tangy and tasty!

I don't know if the Victoria one is the same as the Duncan one. But IF it is. Hear me out:…read moreWe were visiting Duncan from Vancouver for a week and we decided on this pizza based on reviews. Let me tell you that it was not an easy decision because the reviews gave us such mixed signals but we decided to just go for it and order from LOCAL pizza (in Duncan. Reviews for Duncan one not available on yelp for some reason) WOW! We were super super impressed how good it was. The butter chicken pizza was perfectly sauced and flavoured. Out of a group of 7 of us every single one of us agreed that was some of the best pizza we have had in a long time if not the best. People's reviews compared it to fresh slice, it's much much better than that. I think if you're basic and like pepperoni pizza then it's possible it's mediocre I can't speak to that flavour but other flavours were delicious. Asides from butter chicken we also got the loaded and the not so Hawaiian bbq chicken. All super good! I would say it's a lil above panago level. Obviously it's not wood oven Italian style pizza but it's really good. Just keep in mind the style of pizza you're ordering and the flavour and I think with that in mind it can be a great pizza for you. Ps do not order from apps just call the pizza place and order you save quite a bit of money and it's better for the business too. Again really impressed with this pizza and next time we're in town will buy from them again 100%!

VERDICT/VALUE This review based solely on multiple…read morevisits purchasing one or two pizzas by the slice for my little guy: it's been consistently good, especially if you don't need or want a whole pizza! === 2. FOOD Pizza by the slice: $3.19 My little guy likes chicken, so we keep getting the BBQ Chicken or the Tandoori Chicken slices from the front display. Both are good without being too oily. There are typically a variety of pizzas in the front counter available to purchase by the slice, from vegetarian to Hawaiian, to meat lovers, etc. They heat up the slices briefly before serving them to you. === 3. SERVICE It's always been fast and professional; kudos go to the team there. They are likely told to upsell making your order a drink combo, which is fine, but something we've not done, though it seems like many other patrons do. === 4. ENVIRONMENT Because it's the Hillside Centre food court, you're treated to plenty of space in a modern-esque environment, able to bring groups large and small, as well as any wheelchairs and baby strollers. Parking in the mall parking lot outside should not be an issue either, even during the after-school rush.

Just another excellent evening with the restaurant folks! This time, finding the place was easier…read more(it's off a back alley). Got there just when they opened and got a prime seating near (but not to near) one of the fireplaces (they have several italian brick style). The restaurant has many twists and turns creating many wonderful dining alcoves. Very inviting to sit and talk. So on a cold December evening we both had the Polo Appollonia; a wonderful mixture of garlic, bacon, and cheesey pasta. But the real star of the meal were the appetizers! Amazing tasting tomato soup, and the insalata caprese. The salad had a large portion of crisp tomatoes served with like a half pound of real homemade buffalo mozzarella, and lots of fresh basil. Almost a meal. The waiter was very helpful in selections of the food and some wine. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Vancouver Island.

The bread is literally incredible, we order an extra basket because it is so good. We ordered the mussels this time and the sauce was insanely good. The extra bread was necessary to soak up the sauce when we were done. We also split the carbonara which was also very good, the steak was cooked perfectly. Also appreciated the extra considerate touch with the blankets in the colder area of the restaurant.
