Excellent small town restaurant with amazing food and portion sizes. I stopped here after my first…read morechoice was closed and I am sorry I did not make this spot my first choice. I started with the cup of seafood chowder which was really a bowl. he broth was perfect and the mix of seafood impressive. It was a great starter. I tried the Rappie Pie because when in NS.... It was OK but not really my cup of team. The quality of the dish was excellent but it was my first taste of it - at the encouragement of mom - and it just didn't work for me. I doubt it would work for me anywhere so I wouldn't ding them for this dish which is an Acadian classic. I finished with the Swedish Apple pie which was also amazing. I would definitely recommend a stop at Red Cap if you are in the area. There was one server - as bast as I could tell - and she was so pleasant and attentive. She did a great job!

Ive been to a couple place before…read more Ive had a couple fresh seafood dinners. Maine has good seafood. Southern or Western Nova Scotia depending on your orientation has better. Probably one of the best, freshest seafoods Ive ever had. Absolutely delicious and spectacular. While we are on the subject we had extremely, friendly, great customer service. The restaurant is very homey, clean, and tight. I had the seafood chowder - so good. And Fish and Chips - awesome. And I washed it down with a nice Canadian draft brew. My GF had the seafood platter (clams, oysters, all that stuff) and she really liked it. Oh, yeah. Big tyme, big time. I saw someone gave a one star review. Disregard / overlook that. Its not credible.

I gotta tell you, after two weeks of eating all over ME & NS, this place gave me the best meal I had. The fresh ingredients and flavor combinations in the sandwiches were so well balanced, the richness of the cheese with the acidity of the aioli, and the cranberry sourdough was the proverbial icing on the cake. The chowder truly had great depth, and the seafood was fresh. I was too late getting back into Yarmouth to catch them before they closed, but I'll be back the next time we visit. Truly, thank you for the love you showed your food.

We were seated inside,…read moreas it was a bit chilly, but walked outside after dinner to take pictures on the back deck with the most wonderful views!! I was with a large group, we brought wine with us and wine glasses were brought to the table immediately, along with ice water and warm rolls. I ordered the haddock, those around me went with scallops, mussels and seafood chowder and everything was fresh and delicious. My only suggestion is with the vegetable side, which appears to always be peas and carrots...I guess I would check in with the customer on that when ordering. I had no idea that peas and carrots were automatic, I don't eat cooked carrots, and they could have been saved for another customer. Dessert was a BIG hit with the group. Three ordered GIGANTIC slices of coconut cream pie and one, a most perfect slice of strawberry rhubarb with cold house made vanilla ice cream slowly melting on the top. Overall, a lovely night. A comfortable restaurant, where you can dress up if you wish, or not, with extremely fresh seafood prepared excellently.
