This is our favorite place to eat in Morris, MN, especially the noon buffet. (The evening buffet is equally good as far as the food, but they charge more for the same buffet. Odd.) WHAT WE LIKE: THE BUFFET **The CHICKEN is the best; that & a SALAD from the salad buffet is my go-to buffet meal. **Hubby goes for the PIZZA, he loves it, and sometimes some of the "traditional buffet offerings" if he has room. **And the ICE CREAM...I don't know what is different about it, but they have the best vanilla ice cream anywhere; beats even Dairy Queen, which was founded on ice cream! SERVICE & ATMOSPHERE: **SERVICE is usually good, sometimes the tables don't get cleaned off right away if they're busy, but it's usually remedied quickly once you sit down. **CLEANLINESS is good (never use the restrooms so can't speak to those) **DECOR & AMBIANCE - The DECOR is...well, it's Pizza Ranch. The MUSIC, which has been a problem in the past being too loud, seems to have leveled off to reasonable. Would still be better without it, especially at noon when the place is already buzzing, but hasn't recently been so loud that it interferes with conversation. (What's wrong with just letting diners visit among themselves without background music competing?) WHAT WE DO NOT LIKE and the reason for docking one star: **The BUFFET HOURS at the Morris location are SHORT, and were recently shortened more, now only 2 1/2 hrs for both lunch and dinner buffets (but it's not REALLY 2 1/2 hrs.) If you get there like 15 mins before the buffet end-time, food items may be gone (chicken or pizza choices, veggie, lettuce or cottage cheese on the salad buffet, etc), and they won't bring out more for you. If you are still eating when that end-time rolls around, the food is taken away whether you are done eating or not. That makes those 2 1/2 hrs more like 2 hrs in reality. **The recent price increase seems questionable considering that the individual buffet price was already on par with other local and nearby eateries of its class. Add to that the shortened business and buffet hours, and a price increase didn't really jibe. ("LESS FOR MORE" seems to be the going business model now, so I guess the Ranch has just jumped into the fray.) I know prices have gone up in the current inflation, but do those price increases ever change in the other direction if the economy normalizes and their food costs go down? We all know the answer to that one. Normally, I would dock 2 stars for the reasons listed above since they both carry considerable weight in overall value. BUT, because Pizza Ranch remains our choice 9 out of 10 times when eating out in Morris (IF we can get there during buffet hours), I'm deducting only one star. read more

I ordered for delivery to my hotel this evening and am so happy with everything! Great wings, nice sized house salad and the BBQ Chicken pizza was amazing!! Will have leftovers for lunch tomorrow I highly recommend Pizza Ranch, especially for those like me who are hotel bound for a cold evening!! read more

My parents ordered food which included a small pizza, small cactus bread, and a nine piece family pack chicken meal. That included nine pieces of chicken, biscuits, and mashed potatoes. We got are meal and laid it out and realized there wasn't any potatoes. We looked at the receipt and it said they were on there but we didn't get them. We called back and they said they were going to get them shortly. We called back an hour later because we still didn't have our potatoes, half way through the phone call we finally got our potatoes, after we got hung up on. Once we got our potatoes they were barely warm and the gravy was cold, which makes us think they got left in a car for a while. We weren't very happy with Pizza Ranch tonight. read more

The Morris location was among the first few to open and it's long been a hit in this small town - a hit with the college students, with families, and with those looking for a decent buffet with a wide selection. I think the pizza quality has suffered a little from the restaurant's earliest days. That is perhaps due to it now being such a large chain. Pizza Ranch is best known for their pizzas and their fried chicken. If you go during the lunch or dinner buffet, you can have both, along with excellent salad, potatoes, and other decent side items, along with their delectable dessert cactus bread pizza (that's wonderfully both salty and sweet). One tip: if you go during the buffet, be sure to place a "Have it Your Way" order. That means you can ask them to prepare the kind of pizza you like, and they'll bring you out a slice or two or three before setting it on the buffet. It's a nice personalized feature. Sure, it's not a five-star restaurant. Don't expect fine dining. However, if you're looking for a casual place to hang with your friends or family, it's a restaurant that has something for everyone. read more

Very creative pizza toppings and combinations including a blueberry pizza and an apple crisp pizza. They also have non-pizza food including a salad bar, chicken fries, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn and gravy. They have a single serve ice cream machine that only had vanilla but it was good. read more

This is a nice place to eat. The pizza is fun and buffet is to be as expected. I don't care for the way their fried chicken is but everyone else seems to like it so I didnt let that impact the rating I gave them. My only complaint is the price for the buffet. I think the adult price is a little expensive. If I order a pizza from pizza hut with my husband it never comes to above 20$. But at the same time I understand you aren't just paying for just pizza. Overall, a nice family place. read more
