It is what it is. Solid pizza.. I was able to make a lot of customizations and they had no issue with that and made it exactly as I wanted. They delivered it fairly quickly and followed all the instructions. The pizza was fine. Nothing incredible or amazing but to be honest, it was a good pizza that I could have again. I also ordered the boneless wings which were just ok. They were nothing special and I did not finish them. But, this is more a pizza place. I got delivery and it arrived quickly and it was nice and hot. Happy with it for what it was! read more

I ran into this Pizzaria only after arriving in Albert Lea to eat at Centos Wood Fire Pizza where we were asked to leave after sitting ourselves at a table. Website never mentions that a personal event would be taking place at Centos on this date. We decided to try Jakes as long as we had driven all this way to Albert Lea. Ordered the House special and it was better than most pizzeria's I have tried in Minneapolis. Only thing lacking was beer but for a family Pizzaria, it was a great place to dine. Will be coming back. I had the thin crust pizza. An excellent 7.2. Pizza cooked very nicely and the toppings were good. Crust was exceptional. Cheese could have been cooked a little more or browned. One of the top pizzas I have had in Minnesota. Had the wings. Won't rate them cause I don't think they were deep fried and I had take out. Wings always turn soggy with take out. The Blue Cheese was decent compared to most. Service was friendly. I would give this place a recommend for the pizza for sure. I'll be back when in town. Good job! read more

I really love pizza. Thought I would give this local business a shot during this time of isolation. I was not disappointed. Tasty pizza, friendly staff and just a great overall experience - from the ordering on the phone to the delivery was top notch friendly. Strongly suggest the garlic cheese bread....OMG delicious. My husband and I were in town for the night and I picked up two pizzas, cheesy breadsticks and wings. Everything was delicious, especially the pizza crust (medium)! The hardest part was having to pick which pizzas we wanted as there were so many to choose from. The online ordering website was super easy to use and my order was ready when promised. Clean place with friendly staff. Delicious pizza with homemade crust, great sauce, and the best cheese I have had on a pizza in some time. We ate there as a family of six and bill was reasonable at 45 bucks with orders of cheese bread, wings, two pizzas and two pitchers of root beer. I drove up from Texas to buy some Wild gear and hangout with some friends and visit UMD, UMNTC, UMD. After the Morris tour I had the great idea to drive and get some killer pizza at Jakes. I grew up in Montevideo since I was 3 years old. Jakes has been one of my favorite places to eat. Even though I tried the chicken bites after living in Willmar, MN, the pizza is excellent and always top notch. I know the owner and he is very nice. The year I graduated from High School he paid for a meal that I enjoyed with my twin brother. The service is also top notch and ALWAYS friendly. I wish that jakes in other towns were this good. read more
