We stopped here for lunch on the way out of town. We were the only customers and had a great conversation with one of the staff members who is visiting all the MN State Parks as we are. We chose a hand tossed pepperoni and black olive pizza. It was good. Served nice and hot. Lots of cheese and toppings. The inside is decorated like a pizzeria but the outside is basically a warehouse with a sign. Don't let the outside deter you. Splitting the small pizza was a good lunch portion. Nice little restaurant. We went on a Friday night around 7:30 and were the only one in the restaurant. The service was friendly and quick. Cheesy garlic toast was basic but good. Pizza was also pretty basic, but I would come back occasionally to eat it. It's not at the top of my list, but there wasn't anything wrong with the pizza. I would probably order a pizza that doesn't have extra cheese next time as it was a little much for my liking. Crust was pretty chewy in a good way. Worth a try! read more

Pleasantly surprised with this little gem of a pizza joint. Passing through on vacation and needed lunch. Saw pizza nearby on yelp and had to choose between the presumably mom and pop Giovanni's and corporate chain Pizza Ranch. I always err on the side of local vs chain. Thank God I chose this place. The pizza was really one of the best I've had. I got the vegetarian and the two kids split a cheese. We all knew it was special right away. The hand tossed crust was on the thinner side and the cheese tastes like it was real quality. The kids had fun waiting thanks to the old school pinball game, Galaga, and Dig Dug. The staff was friendly and the bathroom was pretty clean. I wish they'd open one in Lincoln, NE. read more

I am new to the area and was looking for a new pizza place when I found this eatery that had good reviews. When I called to place the order I was put on hold three different times and when I finally got around to clarifying my order the person taking the order just sounded like they were annoyed with me. I went to go pickup my order and the masks sign was up, which is fine since I keep it in the car just in case, but nobody working there was wearing a mask. Now I'm not super strict with the mask so I don't expect anybody else to be, but in a customer service business you should probably at least LOOK like you care about state health mandates. When I got the order the guy was the same as on the phone. Having worked in customer service for years, one of my personal pet peeves was when customers would throw their credit card onto the table, like they didn't have the time of day to just hand it to you. This guy did the same, took the card swiped it and just tossed it back to me. Sure, maybe this was some method of not coming into contact due to covid, but if that were the case, he could have just... placed the card down. He literally tossed it at me. The pizza and wings were ok. The wings were very meaty (awesome) but there was almost no sauce. Honestly, the pizza tasted the same as little caeser's, only twice the price. If this were a place like LC's and their prices were more comparable I would definitely raise this review; unfortunately, this is a place that tries to pass itself off as a higher end pizza parlor and it absolutely is not. Do yourself a favor, order from somewhere else. read more

Absolutely delicious pizza! The building isn't much to look at from the outside, but don't let that deter you! I got the Giovanni and it was outstanding. Great sauce with just the right touch of spice, and perfect crust. Not too thick, not too thin, yummy enough to eat by itself (often I leave crusts uneaten). Also got some BBQ wings, which were meaty, juicy, and cooked well. I'm in town a few nights for business (from Raleigh, NC) and I would not hesitate to recommend this spot to everyone! Although I might be getting older and just a bit out of touch with the cost of things these days. I thought Giovanni's was a bit expensive. But it was so well worth it. I can't remember in my whole 43 yrs. ever having a pizza that tasted this good. The crust was wonderfully chewy, the sauce wasn't overpowering, the toppings were perfect, you got a mouthful of happiness in every bite... I had my pizza delivered to my motel room, and the delivery man was nice and laughed at my jokes, but most of all IT ARRIVED HOT!!. To compliment my pizza I ordered some wings with the Jerk (Steve Martin) seasoning and they were absolutely delicious. Great Job Giovanni's!!! I am excited to try out some of your other specialty pizzas the next time I come to town. read more

Ordered a sub, wings and cheese bread. Wings extra done with blue cheese sauce. After an hour and 15 min I called to see how long the wait was going to be. The lady on the phone became semi rude. It took an hour and 25 min. The food was gross. The bread on the sub was super dry. I even had mayo on it. The wings were not cooked enough. There is no way they cooked them longer as I asked. It came with no sauce either! The cheese bread was fine but thankfully I had a microwave because everything was cold! I should've just gone to bk. read more

Ate here with two of my kids, and as the other reviews stated, it doesn't look like much from the outside. However, when you go into the restaurant it's family style and clean. We had a large half pepperoni and half Giovanni, and enjoyed it. Good crust. My daughter says the pizza is "hot and saucy." read more

When I visited the town about a month ago. I wanted to find good pizzas to order to serve my family. There is several pizza places in Willmar. I noticed Giovanni's and tried this out. I met the cool person, Andrew Knight. I asked him about pizzas. He explained well how pizza was made. I learned it serves sub sandwiches too. I ordered 4 pizzas to serve my family. Two different types for adults and simple pepperoni and cheese for kids.They ate it all. Crust is just right and sauce is too good that makes toppings even more delicious to eat all together. I'm from California, I would say I am impressed. I would recommended this place is great to order pizza to serves your family. Thumb up! read more

New in town and hungry for pizza one night. Ordered a regular sausage and onion. Their crust is perfectly sweet--not too doughy, not too crisp(also offer thin crust)--and it doesnt get soggy from the toppings. The sauce isnt too spicy or tomatoey, and toppings are decent. Nothing fancy, but tastes good! I called ahead and had them make a bacon cheese burger one for us when we got there. It was out in 5, nice and hot. Looks like a dive, TOTALLY a gem in disguise I also have food allergies to some things. Im hoping i will be able to see some ingredients and find out what all i can have there. I regret giving Giovanni's Pizza a second thought. As I stepped in I was engulfed with and extraordinary smell of fresh pizza dough. Not only did it smell amazing but it took me back to the past, reminiscing a time when I was a child.
