The staff is fun and friendly, they serve pizza and deep fried items late. With a boar's head overlooking the shenanigans of the night this little bar sees quite a bit of fun. Just yesterday I watched a guy dressed like a cowboy dancing to Skrillex. The music is from a juke box and ranges from country to dub-step but rock is the likely theme. The decor evokes a country biker hangout feel with mounted taxidermy, biker signs and your typical distributor provided beer items like Budweiser mirrors, etc.

It was the most horrific experience I've ever had while just trying to get food…read more The bartender was unreal! She berated my fiancé and I to the point we didn't tip af all. Never done that before. She was rude and so was the other chick working there. We walked in and we were ignored for 15 minutes. She kept hanging out and kind of partying with a college aged boys but ignored us. I asked if I could get my burger rare and SHE YELLED AT ME! I was trying to be empathetic to her and said "it's hard to do this all on your own" She berated me and embarrassed me in front of the entire section. I have it recorded because I couldn't believe that this was happening. (Pics of screenshots attached) I'd love to send that to the owner. Again, the way she treated us was something I've never experienced before. Food was gross. Only one other customer there and he asked me if I wanted to go "zoom zoom" and I chuckled but found out later he was trying get me to do męth (GROSS!) All around the place grossed me out and I'll scream it to the rooftops that bartender was a nasty woman. JUNE 6, 2025 @ 8:48pm When we left she was out smoking a cigarette and being very obvious about what she wanted to tell me under her breath to her bar friends. I'm uploading pics not prove when I was there. I can't be the only one this has happened to! But for some reason I can't let this go on. I go fishing at big stone almost every other weekend. There are 2 places to eat when I go to big stone to fish. It's THIS place with the nasty staff.... Or the overpriced restaurant (but with good food and service) All I wanted was a burger and fries. Not to be berated 3 separate times for no reason at ALL! Just for asking a question ‍

I ordered ruff summer drink which I recommend. Very sweet and delicious. For the food I ordered mango habanero and the new blackened wings traditional style. I think there wasn't enough seasoning on the blackened wings which I was left disappointed. The seasoning itself was pretty good just not enough on the wings. The mango habanero was ok if you like sweet and tangy spice. I'd come back to try the burgers

All the food groups: dairy cheese, gravy, bacon, fat, vegetables, how could you go wrong? We happened to go here for a birthday drink shortly after it opened and found out it was bingo night. Then went weekly for a year! It was a lot more fun when Rick called bingo. There were people of all ages playing (18+) with one cash prize, and several certificates, T-shirts, etc.,back when it was free. We spent enough on food and drinks that it wasn't really "free" but cheap entertainment bringing friends together. Was a highlight destination while it lasted. Still go for the wings. Now it's pay bingo with cash prizes, but I find it less camaraderie anymore. I guess the person calling bingo made a huge difference.

Alright, so maybe I'm biased. Maybe I can't give an objective review because I formed an emotional…read moreattachment to this place as a child. Maybe I'm partial to it because my aunt is a bartender who gives me special treatment when I stop in. Maybe I'm biased because I've made so many memories in the event room for wedding receptions and other celebrations. But who cares? This is my review and I'm sticking to it. Let's be perfectly honest here: this place is not my style. You're much more likely to find me someplace with other 20-somethings where everyone's sipping martinis and classic cocktails, Someplace where the entertainment is live jazz and there's not a television in sight. Someplace with a "mixologist" instead of a "bartender." Someplace without casino games, pool tables, and dartboards. Shooters is a classic small-town bar with lots of domestic beer, lots of country music (bleh), lots of pool tables, and lots of cowboy hats...but damnit, I love it anyway. I haven't eaten here since I was a child (chicken strip basket and a Shirley Temple, please!), but I'm a vegetarian now and I doubt there'd be many options for me. However, I loved the food as a kid (typical bar and grill food), and my grandma often took us here for dinner when we stayed with her. Since turning 21, I've been here a couple times for drinks and was satisfied by my experience. It's much better stocked than most places around it. It has more beer and liquor options than bars in Ortonville, for example. Last night when I stopped in, I asked for a Manhattan. The bartender had to look up how to make it (fine by me!), but she made it perfectly...three times. :) It was also cheap; three Manhattans for $12? Cool. In summary: friendly people, freakishly kid friendly environment, energetic and competent bartenders (shout-out to my auntie!), tasty food (as long as you're an omnivore!), and a cozy, small-town feel.
