Well, what a nice surprise. Local friends brought us here to celebrate a birthday. A cool restaurant right next to the highway makes it easy to find, with plenty of parking around the building. We walked in and didn't wait long for a nice table by the big front windows. The ambiance feels like a cozy cabin getaway in the woods. I liked it! The service was suitable for a busy lunchtime; lots of people at the bar watching several sports games, including some of the FIFA game. Cool for them! And appreciated by me. Duffys is known for its wings, with several flavor options on the menu, but I didn't have those. I ordered the steak fajitas--it was a generous portion served with tortillas I'll definitely give this place another try. I'd like to come back during winter so I can enjoy the difference in seasons. And gotta come back to try those famous wings! read more

Duffy's Good Time Saloon - Nice atmosphere - American Near Me - Montevideo, Minnesota

Food here was pretty good, service lil slow but was ok, the atmosphere was fun liked it a lot.....

Hands down the best food In the region. Nice atmosphere and always good service. Large restaurant with a bar area that's fun to sit in. The specials are good after 5pm. Especially the ribs read more

Always loved the food here but quality has dropped in the last year. Can be hit or miss sometimes it's fantastic sometimes it's pretty poor not sure why. Service is pretty good and I love the theme and decor of the restaurant. read more

Our family loves Duffys! The food and service is always great. We love the all you can eat ribs. Our server Francesca was so kind and patient! We will always be back. read more

They makes an excellent California Cheese burger with cheddar cheese. Now we just have to get them to put it on the menu.

Neat place, doesn't show on the map restaurants. So that's why we come! Tasty fries! Beer was great and service even better! Will come back again! Plenty of fun snarky signs to enjoy! Great food and baseball games on the big screen! Our kind of place! read more

Food was good. Service was unacceptable. Server was not on her game today Ambiance was ok. read more

I waited 45 minutes on an extremely uncomfortable chair and I was about ready to eat my hand and when the food came out, they left the chicken way too long in the fryer so it turned tough and greasy and flaky. I couldn't even finish it. It was so bad. and the celery that was served alongside it just tasted like pesticides. read more

The food here has always been good. They are known for their hot wings. The 2-stars is for the service. I enter and line up to be seated (with lots of tables open) and am told it will be a 20 minute wait because the kitchen is behind. Instead of seating me and allowing me to get a beer and relax, they make me stand in the entry way. I have been coming here for a long time and this is a new take on service. read more

I took my wife out for her birthday steak today, which we did last year also here and had a similar experience. We hoped for better this year by going earlier.... it was actually worse this time. We were seated quickly in the room adjacent to the bar with the shorter tables. Only one other guest was in this room, and the bar area had maybe 3 tables with guests.... not very busy. The bartender/hostess sat us and took our beverage order. We had hoped to have a couple of drinks before the meal. After about 20 minutes mine was almost gone which I assumed a good waiter would have noticed when he came to take our order. 15 minutes later our meal came and I decided that I would like a soft drink with the meal, which I asked him for at that time. 10 minutes later my meal is nearly half eaten and he's not back yet, so I got up and went to the bar and asked for a water. He noticed me from the other end of the bar where the drink dispenser was located and the bartender told him that I would like a water. He then asked, oh you don't want the soft drink now? I don't believe that we will be giving this place a third attempt. The food was good though. The prices are more like 3 dollar sign rating, not the 2 that is shown. $46 for a 7 oz steak, a burrito, 1 beer, and 1 rum and coke.... during happy hour. read more

The wings were delicious, but the service was better. Tons of hunters and people in bright colors and camo! Was a neat set up and people seemed nice. read more

Been a few times to this establishment and have never been disappointed! Very good food. Wings are excellent! Highly recommend them. Also enjoyed the burgers and Mexican selection. Portions are generally generous . Nice service. read more

Staff was very friendly and service was excellent. Wings were cooked perfectly. Will definitely be back.

Great food and great service! We had a large group of people and they were able to meet all of our needs.

If you are looking for great tasting food and courteous, prompt service, then this is your restaurant. We sat on the patio, which is quite large and perfect for those nice days when you want to sit outside. Plenty of seating was also available inside the building, too. I ordered a half order of the Parmesan Cheese Fries with Bacon and I can't imagine how big a full order must be. Definitely a hefty serving and very delicious! Plenty of melted, gooey cheese and bacon and the fries were not soggy. My company ordered the Cajun dry rub bone-in wings and before I could even ask how they were, they were gone. Always a good sign! Our server was very friendly and checked on us often to see if we needed anything. My only complaint is that my Strawberry Margarita didn't even have the slightest bit of tequila taste to it. However, that was not enough for me to give the experience any less than 5 stars. read more

WING GOD'S HAVE BLESSED ME! Seriously though, the wings here are amazing. They make their own in house buffalo and it is the best thing since sliced bread. I was also impressed with their Prairie Fire sauce, I don't usually come across spicy wings in small towns and I love that they have you try the sauce before ordering, we thought that was hilarious! But, yes it is hot and I love hot (spicy challenge hot)! The food portions are generous and prices are fair. The only thing I won't come here for are drinks they were weak I still really question if there was liquor at all. But, not matter what I'll stop whenever I am out that way. read more

This so our third time here to Duffy' s and it gets better and better each time . The wings truly are addictive , as the sign says. The side of onion rings for $5 could feed two. The German burger, Cajun pasta and the double stack burgers are all amazing , no doubt. This family friendly restaurant bar is a definite "must go", if you're in the area. read more

The boneless chicken wings are so amazing! But you might as well be your own server. If you aren't from Montevideo you won't even be noticed in the restaurant. Very small town. And very picky of their people read more

Rolling buy and the look of the place really caught my eye. I was hungry and so I stoped in. Really cool place, has that log cabin feel. Lots of neat little sayings on the wall and Harley chachki throughout the bar! I had the green olive burger and tots..... (gotta have tots!) Burger was cooked just as I requested it and was hand made. It was delicious! Staff was friendly and attentive. Price was a little more than I expected, but, I would definitely come back again!! read more

Duffy's Good Time Saloon - a bar with a television - American Near Me - Montevideo, Minnesota

All right, as you can read from the other reviews: the honey-mustard-buffalo "Gold Rush" wings are fantastic. I've never been to Duffy's where I HAVEN'T ordered a plate. What needs to be known though, is that "Gold Rush" isn't the only flavor - in fact, there's another called "Prairie Fire." Now, let me try to explain these wings through an analogy. Ecologically speaking, a Prairie Fire is a beautiful thing: high flames raze the field, spread by the open wind, until a great rain comes and leaves the field warm, smoldering ash. The freshly-fertilized soil then inspires new life - a natural cycle as inevitable as the sunrise. When old friends and I return home to Montevideo, we'll occasionally visit Duffy's and order a plate of "Prairie Fire." High flames raze the taste buds! You blow gasp blow but the flames only spread! The forehead perspires and the great rain of tears leave your face looking like a warm cinder. When it's over, you're thankful for your life - but you'll do it again: as inevitable as the sunrise. read more

Had the hot wings with prairie fire sauce. Piece of cake dude. Fish sandwich was great, pasta was okay read more

Staff had NO people skills. Slow kitchen. We were there for 2 hours. No apologies, waitress never checked in on us. Good wings.

Quite good. Quick, attentive service, prompt refills on drinks, and I had a good, juicy burger. The restaurant atmosphere is fun cabin casual. My only (minor) complaint was the portion sizes were ridiculously large. They filled my generous basket with tots, and my wife's with at least three thousand calories of onion rings. I brought home half the burger and most of the tots. After eating way too many, we threw out over half of the rings. read more

Greetings.. Ok, I'd go back. I just had a beer and the nachos. Server was really friendly, but about 14 and knew nothing. Here is some free advice: Ditch the nachos or change the recipe. Today's market is waaaay past serving cheese food. Really...they are almost inedible and I can only guess what sort of nasty chemicals I eat. If I wasn't starving...... What to do: Fresh salsa, real cheese (under broiler for 4 min..), fresh peppers, red onion, tortillab chips from La Perla, sour cream, black olives, (chicken was ok..) fresh shredded lettuce. Raise price by $2. Cheers... Mark read more

Had never really eaten here before because it is either too busy or my peasant compatriots I am with want toppers or fast food. Tried it solo (just saw that movie) and wow. Great wings, some of the best around the area I have had, the gold rush in particular. I am a wing freak and crown these supreme in town and around. Burger was flavorful and well built, loves the flavor and cooked just right how I requested it! Great price and awesome service. Will definitely return and tell myu peasant compatriots to join in next time!! read more

Great bar food, fantastic wings, and friendly people. My new favorite in the area.

Stopped in a for a late lunch. Had the wings with honey bourbon sauce. The wings were the size of tenders.

Gold Rush Wings were delicious ! I'd go back again and again for them but next time I'd add a cold beer to the order . Also tried the chicken sandwich and it was yum. Best part is the ambiance is fun and lots of cool quotes and funny sayings everywhere. read more

Amazing wing flavors and great friendly staff!!! It gets pretty busy quick so get there early or will be waiting for table! They do take reservations if you call at least a day in advance or early afternoon. read more

Party of 5 on a Saturday night. I realize it's going to be a longer wait and I'm ok with that. The way they seat seems a bit haphazard but that's ok. I'm being patient after all right? Finally we get seated and it's over an hour before we get our food which is humble but ok. Right before our food came we finally let the waitress know how late it was getting and that we weren't happy and she still charged is full price. I know it's busy and I can sympathize but an hour wait after you've been seated in any situation is far too long. Spending 2 hours in a restaurant is not only going to upset customers but also cost you a lot of money. My previous encounters have been ok but this was insulting and I won't be back. read more

Great food, fun atmosphere! Love the salad, wrap and Mexican selections. Cool sun patio too.

Sunday afternoon. Not busy. Service extremely slow. A table of 7 was seated when we were. They ordered before we did. Another couple was seated after we FINALLY ordered. They were served before us and they finished and left before our order was served. The table of 7 was just being served when we left. Food was Luke warm. What a huge disappointment. We were there a full hour before our food was served. Duffy's used to be better read more

Great wings! The Gold Rush (I believe it's called) is wonderful- the sauce is a mix of honey mustard and buffalo. We went on a Monday night, and the place was PACKED. The waitress was busy but still did a good job. The other food we had was good also, but the wings were the standout item. read more

Nice place. I also tried the Gold Rush wings and they were good. I think all the flavors would be good because they cook a good wing. Bathrooms were very clean. Good place to hang. read more
