Pizza Ranch is the same everywhere. It's be a while but I really like the Pizza Ranch in Hawarden, IA and that is probably because that is an older Pizza Ranch and I pretty much grew up on that one. I haven't had a bad experience at this one but I don't come here very often or even order pizza from here just because I prefer other places. read more

We stopped in on our way home from a road trip on a Saturday evening. This is our first time to a pizza ranch and it was ok. Food was decent, but really, clean the floors people! There were multiple young people working there and no one was sweeping all the food people drop. It was pretty gross. I saw workers messing around and then they would disappear in the back. No one came to take plates from our table either, and being a family of six it got filled quickly with used plates... Like I said they seemed to have plenty of workers that could've cleaned the floors and bussed the tables. read more

We stopped here on a long road trip, it was late and my husband and I were tired. We don't have any Pizza Ranch locations anywhere near us so we didn't understand the way things worked. So take my review with that in mind. We got there about 40 minutes before they closed and the greeter did greet us and when we said "two please" (meaning we had two in our party) she asked us if we wanted to do the buffet but said "it's going to close in about 10 minutes and we're not refilling anything" a woman getting food from the buffet said "DON'T DO IT!" Ok, no problem, we told her we would just order off the menu... She just stood there. We asked if we could sit down and she looked at us like we were crazy. Finally my husband realized that we were supposed to order at the register and she was waiting for us to place an order. Maybe I was just too tired to understand her non-speaking but it rubbed me the wrong way. Our pizza came out after about 15 minutes and I would have preferred that it was baked for another 5 or so minutes. It was doughy. I asked for ranch and was told that they had already put it away so he could get me some fat free if I wanted (not what I wanted, but I agreed), this was still 20 ish minutes before the restaurant was closed! The food was lackluster but my real frustration comes from the service we received. We were there long before close but were treated like we were there right at close. They were breaking down the buffet and spilled food all over the floor, didn't immediately clean it up, we overheard a lot of questionable language (not ok at work, in front of customers), and frankly we didn't get the value we paid for. Being our first time at a Pizza Ranch, I might try it again, but I would absolutely not go within the hour they are closing and most likely not this location. read more

We went to the Pizza Ranch as our 90 year old grandma raves about, and couldn't wait to take us there. It was great! Great service, and good food. The pizza wasn't amazing, but it was pretty good for a pizza place in Fairmont, MN. Here's where it turns great....my 10 year has found a new love for mushrooms and was sad when he didn't see any pizza with mushrooms. I told him to go ask. He went and asked if they had any with mushrooms. They asked him exactly what he wanted and went and made it fresh, just for him! And then they brought it to the table! We were here on Fathers Day with a party of 14 of us and we were able to be seated all together and the food was great. The restaurant was very clean and they kept the food well stocked on the buffet line. The theme is very western and I have wondered why Pizza Ranch hasn't come to Texas to open some restaurants. They already have the theme and their food is better than CiCis pizza. Keep up the good work and come to Texas! read more

Good place to stop when you are limited for time. Also, a good option for groups. Tables can be reserved when you phone ahead. Food selection is always good on their buffet. Seldom has our family had over cooked, or under cooked chicken at this restaurant. Reasonable pricing for all the food you can eat when you purchase the noon or evening buffet meal. read more

great place to eat in fairmont. has the biggest and best variety for buffets in fairmont. ive been to every restaurant in fairmont too! i love the pizza ranch. been there 40+ times in the last 3 years. good pizza chicken salad bar and desert pizza. my favorite part is that you can request a certain pizza and they will bring it to your table for the first dibbs before putting it on the buffet. has a reserved party room for about 40-50 people. lots of staff and quick fast great and excellent service. also very friendly. godfathers and pizza hut both closed down after the pizza ranch opened in fairmont. First and foremost the staff is really friendly and accommodating, so I'd give the folks that work there five stars. On the other hand the food tasted awful, probably the worst pizza I've had for as long as I can remembered; I might be biased though because I'm just visiting from out east and we have some really good pizza where I'm from. Pizza Ranch is one of the more decent places to eat in town. For a buffet, I really like that you can request a special pizza and not be charged any extra. Thier thin crusts are the best in town and the fried chicken is pretty good too. My one complaint is that it seems to be a bad idea to order takeout (they deliver also). For some reason, every time we get chicken to go from here, it is over cooked and not that great. It seems to me that they must save the overdone chicken for takeout so that they won't have to deal with complaints. Disappointing. read more

Do not go on a Sunday around 6:30pm. It was not busy but almost all of the empty tables were FULL of dirty dishes and the tables without dirty dishes were not wiped off. So I had to eat at a dirty table. To top it off many employees were going on super break soon after but they made sure they sat at clean tables. read more
