All bread, no toppings, sauce or cheese
C R.

I don't understand all the recent great reviews for this place. I wanted a pizza & we've never tried this place, so we decided tonight was the night. We had the cheese curds w marinara & they were fine but a small portion. I had a hand tossed pepperoni & onion. it was a little better than a frozen pizza. It hardly had any pepperoni or sauce on it & tasted just like crust. My wife ordered a thin crust cheese but we were brought a hand tossed cheese. We didn't say anything because that what we do, so she ate a couple pieces & complained to me "too much bread & no taste". My adult Son had the Bacon cheddar burger that was supposed to be soooooo great & it was large but mediocre, we don't like thick burgers around here, more of a smashburger kinda family. We had to ask for refills on drinks. The restaurant was also kinda dirty, with sticky tables. Bill was around $60 b4 tip, which was the only good part of the meal. We definitely won't be back

Came back here after a game and everything was excellent. The pizza, wings, Italian beef roll were all good and we were given great service. Keep it up! (Notice how different the pizza looks from this visit and the last one. Stunning!)

Cheese curds
Midori G.

Went here late on a Saturday night. The small crowd consisted of mostly townies drinking. I feel bad because on google it said they closed at 3 so I went in at 1:15 and didn't worry, but later found out they closed at 2. The waitress was still kind even thought I came in close to closing time. What I ordered: I was craving cheese so I got an appetizer of cheese curds and a 10" cheese pizza. The cheese curds were good, but nothing special. The pizza is super greasy, but sometimes it just hits the spot. This is a great local place with greasy, gooey comfort food. 3 stars because the quality of the food isn't amazing and the ambiance is plain, but sometimes I'm in the mood for a place like this. The price of my meal in total was $13.85 (not including tip). I think that is decent for what I had. I will be back if I ever get some late night cravings again.

Not good. The pizza was all bread with a thin layer of cheese and sauce. Looked good, but was very disappointed.

Wings with all drums which I hate
Mcintodh L.

I placed a order with pizza pros which included a 10 piece order of wings. My order of wings included all drum's which I hate drums , so my husband will eat the drums and I will eat the flats . Well guess what there were no flats in this order . Who does that ' I called the manager and he was such a nice guy and he offered to add a credit to my account. After you get home with your order who wants to go out of the house again. Now I have my pizza getting colder and my garlic bread. Chicken is really expensive now. Well food I'm general is expensive. We pay all of this money for carry out we just want it to be right. I love this place. I just moved to the area. They're food is amazing. I don't want to give up on them. The price of chicken is like Caviar

I have been here a few times in the past to hang out with my buddies. They go here often. I don't. It's a well known spot in DeKalb. They are known for their baked cheese nuggets. It's a bar and restaurant type place. Students and locals alike hang out here frequently. In my recent visit, I had their garlic parmesan beer nuggets and the baked cheese nuggets. The garlic parmesan beer nuggets are pieces of pizza dough fried and served with marinara sauce. They were soft and tasty. For the baked cheese nuggets, Pizza Pro's specialty, I had half black olives + green peppers and half pepperoni with a side of pizza (dipping) sauce. They were really good. I like that stuff. They have a good drinks selection. Plenty to choose from the beers listing. I had a bottle of Abita Turbodog (for the first time) brown ale and it was good. I am not an Ale guy but I liked this one. Their cracker thin pizza is also good. I have had it previously and liked it. The atmosphere is chill. It can get noisy though. They have t.v.s in the restaurant that show sporting events, t.v. shows, etc. They have a dart board as well. The menu prices are very reasonable and the service is okay (can be a hit or a miss sometimes). If you haven't been here before then go check them out. I'll be back for more cheese nuggets and perhaps pizza again in the near future.

For sure it's not a nice looking place but this isn't where to go to impress anyone. The cheap prices and cheap tastes are the main things. A lot of bars around here are nothing special looking, and this is no exception. It's pretty much a worn out looking place. The inside is bigger than it looks, with room enough for quite a crowd to watch games and stuff. Lots of good deals going on. These are daily and weekly. It's about $4 for a cocktail. The basics like whiskey and Coke or whatever. A lot of classic appetizers. It's about $4 for the World Famous Willies. Highly suspect these are that famous. These are fried pizza dough balls served with red sauce. Also you can get these with garlic and Parmesan cheese. The pizzas are pretty greasy but still are popular. Classic small town college bar. It's open in the afternoon to late at night, so lots of time to come in and have good times. There's plenty of the locals, not just the college students who like to hang out or whatever.

If your idea of a party is…read morepigging out on pizza, while combining it with suds and cocktails, then this is the place for it. Pizza Beer Whiskey explains the entire menu it seems. Has a pretty large amount of basic and gourmet toppings to choose from. The prices are higher than the crap chains but it's much better tasting. Always busy. It's a pretty good sign that people like to come here. This is located pretty close to NIU so obviously the name is pretty easy to understand for even the thickest skulled of frat boys and other college students. A few words to get their attention. Have to speak the language of the locals. A crap ton of local beers. It's about $8 a pint. Splurge a bit more for some finely aged whiskey. It's about $18 for a medium pizza. That's kind of a lot but this isn't mass produced chain pizza though. Also you can get it with vegan cheese. This melts like the real stuff. We got one of the Sergeant Pepper pizzas New York style. Filling. This comes with arugula, black olives, cherry tomatoes, green peppers, mozzarella but we got the vegan substitute, mushrooms, and onions. Big enough for a couple. They have even bigger ones that are expensive but are good for parties. Crazy place for tons of good drinking and eating. It's located on West State Street. There's good options for meat eaters as well as vegans and vegetarians.

We recently held our son's rehearsal dinner here, and unfortunately, I was very disappointed with…read morehow our event was handled. I want to start with the positives: the food was excellent, and our server, Sam, and the bartender (I believe her name was Brooke) worked incredibly hard. They were pleasant, helpful, and truly did the best they could. My frustration is not with them at all--they were simply given far too much to handle. Neither was dedicated to our event. Sam was serving our party AND other customers in the restaurant, and the bartender was also responsible for our group and the rest of the restaurant. It took approximately 45 minutes for everyone at our rehearsal dinner to receive their first drink. The staff was stretched so thin that I found myself putting food out and bussing tables during my son's rehearsal dinner. When we arrived, there weren't even enough tables and chairs set up for our guests, so our family helped set those up as well. What was especially frustrating is that we paid an additional fee for an event coordinator, as well as a fee to use the space. I'm still unclear about what those fees actually provided. I would have expected an event coordinator to make sure the space was ready, adequate staff was scheduled, and the event ran smoothly. That was not our experience. I initially chose not to leave a public review because I wanted to give management the opportunity to address my concerns directly. I emailed them after the event explaining our experience and received no response. I resent the email twice and still received no acknowledgment or response. That lack of communication is ultimately what prompted me to share our experience publicly. Again, the food was excellent and Sam and Brooke deserve recognition for working so hard. But for a special event that included additional charges for the space and event coordination, I expected a much higher level of planning, staffing, service, and follow-up.
