Pizza Villa Special: "This Dekalb favorite comes loaded with our home seasoned Italian sausage, mushroom, green pepper and onion." I added pepperoni and it did not overwhelm the dish. This sausage, mushroom, onion, bell pepper, and pepperoni pizza is a standout, with each topping bringing bold, distinct flavor. The real star is the fresh mushrooms--earthy, tender, and noticeably superior to the canned variety you'll find elsewhere. Combined with perfectly seasoned sausage and crisp bell peppers, it's a balanced, flavorful bite every time. I also added the perfectly crispy potato wedges (do yourself a favor and sprinkle Parmesan Cheese on them generously while they are hot) and a good old fashioned Root Beer Float . Wonderful attentive service to boot! I felt like I was in a different era.

For sure it's not a nice looking place but this isn't where to go to impress anyone. The cheap prices and cheap tastes are the main things. A lot of bars around here are nothing special looking, and this is no exception. It's pretty much a worn out looking place. The inside is bigger than it looks, with room enough for quite a crowd to watch games and stuff. Lots of good deals going on. These are daily and weekly. It's about $4 for a cocktail. The basics like whiskey and Coke or whatever. A lot of classic appetizers. It's about $4 for the World Famous Willies. Highly suspect these are that famous. These are fried pizza dough balls served with red sauce. Also you can get these with garlic and Parmesan cheese. The pizzas are pretty greasy but still are popular. Classic small town college bar. It's open in the afternoon to late at night, so lots of time to come in and have good times. There's plenty of the locals, not just the college students who like to hang out or whatever.

We recently held our son's rehearsal dinner here, and unfortunately, I was very disappointed with…read morehow our event was handled. I want to start with the positives: the food was excellent, and our server, Sam, and the bartender (I believe her name was Brooke) worked incredibly hard. They were pleasant, helpful, and truly did the best they could. My frustration is not with them at all--they were simply given far too much to handle. Neither was dedicated to our event. Sam was serving our party AND other customers in the restaurant, and the bartender was also responsible for our group and the rest of the restaurant. It took approximately 45 minutes for everyone at our rehearsal dinner to receive their first drink. The staff was stretched so thin that I found myself putting food out and bussing tables during my son's rehearsal dinner. When we arrived, there weren't even enough tables and chairs set up for our guests, so our family helped set those up as well. What was especially frustrating is that we paid an additional fee for an event coordinator, as well as a fee to use the space. I'm still unclear about what those fees actually provided. I would have expected an event coordinator to make sure the space was ready, adequate staff was scheduled, and the event ran smoothly. That was not our experience. I initially chose not to leave a public review because I wanted to give management the opportunity to address my concerns directly. I emailed them after the event explaining our experience and received no response. I resent the email twice and still received no acknowledgment or response. That lack of communication is ultimately what prompted me to share our experience publicly. Again, the food was excellent and Sam and Brooke deserve recognition for working so hard. But for a special event that included additional charges for the space and event coordination, I expected a much higher level of planning, staffing, service, and follow-up.
