I have heard wonderful things about this place, and based on the amount of people there on a Thursday night, it seems most people agree.
I suppose I am not most people or I came on an off night, but here is my experience.
1) I don't like businesses that provide vouchers on group buying sites and then hate you for using them. The amount of times I had to show them the voucher, explain to them the voucher or just look at their disappointed faces was enough. It wasn't even that good of a deal. $40 for 1 pizza, 1/2 carafe and doughballs. So i saved $5. What's with the attitude?
2) When I made the reservation, I asked for 9PM. A bit late but we agreed on 8:45 as long as I 'ordered ASAP." Ordering ASAP was especially hard when I was ignored for the first 30 minutes. Didn't get a menu, water, or anything.
3) So the service was generally not good, but it was busy and I did note one guy that was trying especially hard. I think he knew we were ignored so thank god for him.
4) The food. The doughballs were interesting, but probably the best part of them was the sauces served with them. A basil pesto, a spicy pepper and a garlic sauce. We ordered the prosciutto pizza and it was good, but nothing to write home about.
So anyway, perhaps it was an off night, but I was just not particularly impressed. read more
