One was overcooked but it didn't affect the taste, just affected it reheating it. This place has been around for as long as I can remember and that's for a reason. In my opinion their pizza is pretty good. It has a unique taste that I enjoy. I know I've heard others talk about how they don't like it, but don't listen to them. Give it a try for yourself. Their breadsticks are very fresh tasting also. The service is always great when I go, but that could be because I go in the middle of the day when there's not many people. I have no clue how service is when it's busy. Ordered a pizza and breadsticks to go while driving through town and chose this place based on reviews. While the food was ready upon arrival, it was nothing special. In my opinion the pizza was bland in taste and their sauce was too sweet. The breadsticks were just okay, but the cheese sauce they served with them was cold. This place was very clean. Staff was friendly. Me and my husband really love the wings. The pizza is not the best in my opinion but it's ok. I just felt the crust was salty and the pepperoni was different. For some reason, I thought the crust would be thinner. I will still return however. I would love to try more on the menu. read more

Pizza Palace has long been the best pizza in Seymour. Nothing really compares to it. Atmosphere. I was back in town with my wife recently so we decided to check out the renovated bar area. They did a great job in the buildout. It looks fantastic and there are TVs out the wazoo. So if you want a place to watch a game this is definitely your jam. Food. Pizza is great. We have always ordered the pepperoni and sausage and it's Ggrrrreat. Crust is always made by hand and not that pre-packaged junk. We met the owner (super friendly dude excited about continuing to improve the dining experience for Jackson County diners) who indicated that he was looking into trying out some new more artisan style pizzas. We will be interested to try that when that comes out. Service. The service was great. Everyone was super friendly and attentive. Beer. They have a very impressive tap list of Indiana and even Seymour beers. Even if you don't eat it is worth coming to the bar if you are a beer person. I know Rails claims to be a craft beer joint but Pizza Palace definitely has them beat in Jackson County. They also are starting to do tap takeovers which I am excited to try if in town. Buffet We didn't do the buffet but it is a very popular lunch option if you want to get down buffet style. We will be back. read more

Traveling on Hwy 50 home from Cincinnati and found this little gem. Bill provided some good recommendations and great service. Pretzel with nacho cheese appetizer was light, buttery, and delicious! I love this pizza. Just like pizza king, maybe a little different. There is something about pepperoni that is shredded that makes it so much better. Ate in restaurant and got there about 4 pm so was not a lot of people in there at the time. Next time I am there I will try to get there at 5 and try the buffet. Others who went with me also had the chicken barbecue pizza and I am not a fan of barbecue but the pizza was spot on. I would say my only complaint was the breadsticks. They were good but not what I was expecting. More of a fluffy bread than what I usually get as breadsticks. It did not cause me not to eat them though. They were still good. read more

Great buffet! Price is right, too. I had a road trip through Seymour with a friend. We decided to give this place a try since it had the words "pizza" and "buffet" on the building. They even had Strombolis on the buffet!!! The pizza reminded us of pizza king, but with thicker crust. Toppings, sauce and cheese seemed to be a perfect match to them. Great value and great food! My mother and I ate lunch here today. I told the man at the register that we wanted water to drink. I paid and asked for a receipt. I noticed the drinks were rang up as fountain drinks at $1.59. I stood there until he came back over. I showed him the receipt and said that we just wanted water. He said he knew, but a lot of people would order water and then get fountain drinks instead and they were losing money. I told him that that is not the case with us, as that's all we drink, even at home. He said he understood and apologized. He added that it was a flat rate, now, for the lunch buffet, although the receipt showed each buffet and fountain drink rang up separately. I said that that was unfortunate. He said yes, it is. And it really is unfortunate- Any time my children are out of school, Pizza Palace is our choice for a lunch out. Now, I'll have to explain why we won't be going back. Best pizza in town! Has been locally owned since 1971. Recently they have remodeled the round part of the building. It is now a family dining room with 150 seats that also includes a craft beer bar (and wine). They have 15 large TVs and 16 beers on tap. Lunch buffets and dinner buffets Thursday through Saturday. I was on my way back from Atlanta to Chicago and we were craving some pizza for the pit stop. I checked some reviews online and Pizza Palace was the best in Seymour. We got a pizza with pepperoni and a cheesesteak! Both were awesome and I loved the fact that the cheesesteak had the cheese sauce....reminded me of the cheesesteaks you get at Pat's or Geno's in Philly. Unfortunately I also left my wallet there and the staff was great at recovering it and the manager Dan went out of his way to mail me the wallet. They definitely went out of their way and have great customer service and we will sure to stop by when we make another road trip through Seymour. read more

We're staying at the Holiday Inn. Ordered online and had prompt delivery. I'm giving the pizza a '4' only because of the soft crust.BUT might have been crisper had we ordered the longer cook. Ordered the Super Deluxe and the flavor and toppings were fantastic! The crust was soggy but again, maybe should have ordered the longer cook. But the real 5 star goes to the delivery lady! Knowing we were at a motel, she provided us with two paper plates and napkins! This was a first for us! I highly recommend to any traverlers! read more
