We read about Pizza Nuova and learned it was voted in the top 50 best pizzerie in Europe. In fact it ranked no. 27 last year. That's huge praise to be ranked but also to be outside of Italia, so we decided to give it a try. The result was wow. As good as a pizza I've had even in most places in Italia. The crust was perfect, the sauce was A+, and the mozzarella di bufala was outstanding. Plus, the potatoes with black truffle appetizer was amazing. We actually ate there twice given how great it is. In Prague, pizza/pasta is the go to food for tourists. However, if they would venture outside of the Old Town Square, this is the real deal. Pizza Nuova bests every American pizzerie I've tried. We were lucky enough to get the last "garden" patio table on a Saturday around 8pm. We ordered glasses of Riesling and Pinot Grigio along with the burrata as a starter and the gnocchi with mushrooms and cream and pappardelle ala ragu for entrees. We'd never had burrata served in oil previously but dam it was delicious and the quality of burrata was so good - I just wish they'd given us more bread. My favorite pizza in Prague! This is better than the pizza we tried in Italy last year. The pizza we ordered had lots of vegetables and Prague Ham toppings. We also ordered the Greek salad and took both items to our apartment. The service was very friendly and the restaurant had a really nice atmosphere. Never tried an all you can eat pasta and pizza place. I walked into this restaurant off one of the main squares. It was quite busy although it was way past lunch and too early for a dinner crowd. Food was very good. They kept coming with various types of pizza and pastas, and only gave you a small serving so you can try many options. And they were all just cooked so still very hot, unlike some of the buffet types. read more

The pizza is excellent - almost like a real one from Naples - in fact this is the only pizzeria in the country that holds the certification of the Neapolitan pizza association. As a pasta lover, this place is dangerous for me. I did the AYCE option and loved everything that I tried. We came in the middle of the day, so there were not a lot of people. I noticed that as people left and the place became emptier, the portion sizes that we were served got substantially larger so I would recommend coming at an off time. At first, the service was a bit slow but it soon picked up after customers started leaving. I can definitely see how it could be frustrating to eat here on a weekend night. I think next time, I'll come back and just order the things that I liked from the AYCE. (which will be hard because I like a lot of them!) read more

i arrived in a group of 6 on sunday 3rd march. everything at first was okay,got a seat,drinks etc and then the girl came to take our order.evryone ordered including myself as i pointed to the pasta dish i wanted.this is were things turned bad as we had to wait 1 hour and 10 mins for the food to arrive and when it eventually arrived my dish wasnt there!! a few minutes later another waiter arrived down with a pizza that i hadnt ordered and which i pointed out to him. by this time my party had nearly finished eating and the manager came down to apoligise and said my dish would be 5 mins and didnt know what happened. i turned his offer down and left in disgust! i have been in quite a few restaurants to eat but can honestly say i have never been treated like that before anywhere ever!!!! stay away from this place , treatment was brutal and i will never be back!!!! read more

Ok, first of all, I have to say that this review is based on only one visit. After reading all the other reviews, I feel like I need to go back and try one of the pizzas or other dishes people here are praising about. However, my Cannelloni were a huge disappointment :-( Really small bowl that was supposed to have chicken, veal and pork with spinach and ricotta di buffalo but tasted more like with lunchmeat and Lucina cream cheese... My friend had his favorite Spaghetti all Ambiente and seemed satisfied though. Again, I'll probably have to go again to see if it was just bad choice or and overall trend of this restaurant. As for the ambiance, the restaurant has a cozy feel with beautiful view on the Revolucni street and Namesti Republiky square. The staff was friendly and attentive and overall, it was a nice experience except for the not-so-great choice of food. I'll keep you posted on my second visit :-) read more

Being part of Aldente plus pizza prices beyond expensive the expectations were high of course. When you enter the first thing you notice is how there is a Kleenex box on each table. They way they do it in Asian bistros. You know, the places selling lunch for 90 crowns. Nuova tries to be some kind of fine dining and this is what you get. Close by you find for example Alforno Focacceria Italiana were a Italian style folded napkin is waiting on each plate. That is style. The whole interior of Nuova looks quite cheap and ugly. Like the restaurant at IKEA. The pizza itself was ok but not more. You have several places in Prague where you get the same quality or better, but you pay half the price. But the worst part must be the totally indifferent and uninterested, lazy people working there. Menu came quickly, my beer came quickly and so did the pizza I ordered, but after that you turn in to a invisible man. A second beer was impossible to get no matter how I tried. I managed several time to get eye contact, then waved gently with my hand but each time meet with TOTAL neglect. This repeated itself when I tried to pay. Even after I put on my coat and was waving with my wallet did I get any attention. NB it was Sunday evening, very few guest and therefore almost as many people working there as there were guests. But instead of working the staff was totally busy about with their body weigh preventing the place's walls from falling. In the end I gave up and left without paying, I had to, but the girl at the door said friendly goodbye. I NEVER go back to this place. A total tourist scam. read more

Five star food, 2 star service. The pizza was perfect, the burrata fresh. Prices reasonable for the pricey tourist area. Unfortunately we sat outside at first and the mosquitoes were unbearable. Staff reluctantly let us move indoors. Beer was good but a terrible pour, half foam and dripping all over the table attracting the bugs outside. Flavor of the food was excellent. Waitress was very good. My challenge was that the pizza was soggy making it difficult to eat. Oddly none of the four pizza was sliced for us. Because of the soggy crust the pizza was difficult to cut and impossible to pick up and eat. I did notice that other pizzas were being sliced before being served. As for the noise, we sat next to the kids play area which was too loud. However it was the only reservation available at the time. Our waitress apologized several times for the noise. There were two tables that sat empty in our area! What made it unacceptable was that several soccer sized balls went flying at our table during our meal. Why can't you give one star on Yelp? This restaurant doesn't even deserve a star! First off, we got the all you can eat pizza and pasta and were excited at how many different options would be coming our way. Little did we know how DAMN SLOW the service is... Workers walk around giving out a single slice but the amount of time between slices is RIDICULOUSLY SLOW. Maybe they do this on purpose so that you get full after the first couple of slices but it's absurd how long you have to wait for them to come around. Also, sometimes they run out of pizza before they get to your table so then you're left just wondering if that type of pizza will ever make it's way back to your table. As for the pasta, it's got to be the most undercooked pasta we've ever had. Literally, every pasta we had was undercooked which doesn't make sense since it's an Italian restaurant. Also, everything is super salty. Not just a little salty but EXTREMELY SALTY. Overall, we are very disappointed in this restaurant and would not come back. Hopefully other fellow Yelpers take our advice and avoid this restaurant like the plague!!! read more

Oh yuck. Only reason I'm not giving this place a 1 star is because the pizza is edible, but if you're from any good pizza place (New York, New Haven, Italy to name a few), do NOT eat here. I have no idea why it got 4 stars. It's so bad. The mozzarella, sauce, and even the basil used in the sauce is SO bland. I feel like they got the cheapest grocery store brand and threw it together. The dough was good and probably the best part but needed to be cooked way longer. There was so much chew and no crisp. Overall, the pizzas were tasteless and soggy, and there's bad service. Oh and how could I forget about the pasta-- they were TOO al dente, and the sauces tasted like stuff you make from powdered box mixes. Don't believe the reviews and skip out on this place unless you're from a place that doesn't have good pizza. If this is the best pizza in Prague, then I'm not trying any other pizza places here. By the way, I did the all you can eat option but based on the quality of the ingredients, getting a pizza without the all you can eat wouldn't change my opinion. Oh holy food coma! So much food. SO MUCH FOOD! Ok, so I took a friend here for her birthday and we got to gorge ourselves on the amazing food that just seem to keep coming and coming and coming. Even though I wanted to stop, I just couldn't seem to bring myself to do it, the food was just so good. The staff, while total pushers of this heavenly over abundance of food, were actually some of the nicest I have fun across here in Prague. The inside is beautiful, the pizza is DELICIOUS (and they were able to accommodate my vegan fiance's request for no cheese wonderfully), and the guy at the table next to us was doing a Brazilian steakhouse-style pasta rotation where the waiters would keep bringing him different pizzas and pastas until he flipped his card from green to red! Love it. My menu was in Czech, but the website has an English and a Czech version of the menu, so you can always fire that up using their free wifi if you need a translation. Service was personable and prompt, despite my inability to speak Czech. You can sit either inside (Sleek, modern, great views of the city with some fun touches) or outside on the shaded patio. We chose to sit outside and it was delightful. We split a pizza margarita and it was great. Light, flavored with basil and dripping with cheese. We also had the grilled veggies, which consisted of peppers, zucchini and squash. Also very well done. Tasty, that is. For dessert, we had the white chocolate fondue. Three days later and I am still thinking of how good it was. We got lucky as walk in and got a window table on a busy Tuesday night due to a canceled reservation .as we walked in. Restaurant ambiance was nice, great view from our table, service and food were excellent. Two negatives, firstly the kitchen is open to the restaurant so you smell everything cooking and next morning could still smell it on our clothes, secondly and much worse while the restaurant is non smoking (a plus) there is a small bar area downstairs where you come in from the street and this allows smoking and the smoke drifts up the open stairs into the restaurant so it was quit off putting eating in that environment. read more

If you are in the namesti republicky area and looking for a good pizza/nice place to rest from all your sightseeing, this is a good place to go. I had a good experience here even though I ended up having 4 different servers during my time here which was weird. Shoutout to the tall shaggy brunette guy server who brought me pesto just so I could try it when I didn't even ask (since I was between 2 dishes). Not only did he speak english and suggest the best pizza on the menu (the diavolo) he gave me a small bowl full of pesto to try for free! To this server: YOU SHOULD GO SERVE IN AMERICA NOT PRAGUE ARE YOU NUTS!! You only get a mere 10% if that tip here, where you can make real money with your serving ability in the USA! Anyways the pizza was delicious but also about 200 crowns....so of course you can find quality pizza for cheaper but the view is also nice here....since all the window tables are reserved and stay empty while you eat, so you can always see out of them lol. All in all I say go, its a nice, extremely clean and modern restaurant with quality food, as long as the prices don't scare you off first. read more

I randomly came across this place after shopping at the Palladium. It looked like a whatever lunch spot but when we walked upstairs, it was trendy. The ambiance is super romantic with a great view of the street and window couch seating across the restaurant. But when I asked if we can sit by the window they refused as it was all reserved. Every single seat was reserved at 3pm? Hmmm...I don't know. So we just grabbed a seat closest to it. We ordered the Margarita pizza and two Pilsner's beers. The pizza was hot and ready to eat. The cheesy texture of the pizza was very delicious along with fresh basil. It was definitely one of the best Margarita pizzas I've had in Prague. 5 stars for the cook! Damaged was around 400Cz ($20ish) The reason why this place gets 4 stars- service. We barely saw our waiter and had to wave him down to get more water. Also,when we left, all the "reserved" tables were still EMPTY. I guess next time I plan to go I would need to call them first. :/ read more
