Wow! Super surprised there is a yelp entry for this restaurant!…read more This place I feel is not in the most ideal area. Personally, I don't like coming to LKF to have dinner or lunch or whatever. Still, I can't fault them too much for the location, and many people have actually done the same since there are a number of good restaurants in LKF area. This place is primarily a steak place, though they have a few other things to choose from as well. I believe lunch times they offer a AYCE sort of option, where you get a main and then the salad bar is buffet. I've been to it before and it's pretty good. I've heard however since COVID they have changed it somewhat. The other night I came and got the seafood guazzetto, which is about $300 HKD, and has a bunch of different things such as fish, octopus, clams, etc. Lots of seafood essentially. Other things I tried included the sides of brussel sprouts, mushrooms, bruschetta, some of my brother's sirloin steak, some of the fish of the day (halibut?). Overall, the food is quite nice. I will say, they tend to use a bit too much butter/oil here. I know this is kind of true whenever you eat out, but here it is definitely noticeable. I would recommend them to tone it down just a little bit, since there are always ways to spice up your dish without going overboard on the fats

I came here for dinner three nights ago, and I'm still full from it!…read more The five of us shared bruschetta (it comes with four but they added one more for us), the cured meats (a great curated selection), and the meatballs for appetizer. They also brought out some veggies and dip before we ordered (which I had never seen done before) along with bread. The highlight of the night was the steaks of course. We shared the florentina (aka the porterhouse. A 32oz wagyu beast) and a filet. The meats came on a cutting board already cut, so the sharing was easy. They were perfectly seasoned, tender, and flavorful. We had roasted veggies and creamed spinach as sides. The latter was addictive! Chef Todd was around to explain their meat selection when I walked around to check them out in the case. We didn't get to send our regards to him, as we stayed late and were the last to leave. Todd, if you're reading this, hail to the chef! We went without a reservation and were seated right away. It was a Thursday night, but we had gotten there around 9 which might explain the vacancy. It's a great option for groups and celebratory dinners :)

Motorino is hands down my favorite pizza restaurant…read more I've been to multiple locations of Motorino, both in HK and NYC, and it's always consistent. A little expensive for pizza, but since I do not eat it often, I think it's well worth it. The brussel sprout pizza is my favorite, and unique (I've never seen it at another pizza place). I'm also into any pizza with prosciutto now it. Make sure to save room for dessert - the cheesecake is fantastic.

Motorino of Blacksheep Restaurants has been our go-to for pizzas close to home in Hong Kong…read more Serving Neapolitan style pizzas, these have pleased our NY tastebuds or cravings for pizzas here. Having been there multiple times, I was a bit surprised when on this recent visit is when they handed us a stamped loyalty card. I asked our sweet server if this was something new and she said no. I asked her why they didn't inform us of that on our previous visits and she, of course, didn't have an answer, but politely mentioned she's seen us before and that's why she gave it to us. The pizzas are good. They've added cocktails recently here, I reckon. Their menu keeps changing. The one time we had antipasti there - smoked eggplant, my jaw was on the floor with the price to portion size proportion, more because the taste disappointed as well. But the good news is that their pizzas don't disappoint. As with other Blacksheep Restaurants, they have the friendliest of staff. Pictures on the blog - thevegetarianvoyager

This restaurant has two levels, decor is simple but comfortable. And since my cousin's family are regulars, service has always been excellent. We usually have the standard dim sum items like Shrimp Dumplings, Siu Mai, Daikon Cake, BBQ pork, Roasted Pork Belly, BBQ Pork Buns, etc. Food is very consistent and of good quality. Prices are reasonable. It's a very reliable place to get dim sum!

One thing is that if you get there late, like 1ish, they may run out of some of the items on the menu. They have other locations at Wan Chai, Kowloon Bay, and a couple more. Check their website!

My friends and I ordered their curry beef stew, beef pho, king prawn, and their lemongrass fish (forgot the name of it). The best part of the curry was the garlic bread that comes with it. You're not able to order the garlic bread as a side order so it's worth trying with the curry. The pho bowl was huge and it's meant to shared with 2 individuals but with the 3 of us, we still couldn't finish it. The king prawn was out of this world! I've never seen or tasted prawns of that size and it kind of reminded me of lobster meat. The fish was decent but nothing amazing. It takes a while for the fish to warm up and you'll have to flip it because one side will be hot and the other will still be cold. Overall, I enjoyed my meal here and it was definitely something to experience since I haven't tried anything of the sort here in LA.

The server let me know that it would reopen for dinner service at 5:30. That was a bummer, but the place proceeded to impress me in several ways afterward. First of all, there was a pizza on offer, at $32 for a rather generous square pan slice, with no cheese. For a lactose-free diner like myself, this is a big pro. Second, the order system is nicely designed. When you enter, you get a card which acts rather like a card in a University dining hall. There are several stations offering different foods, and the card is swiped for everything you order, which stores the value of that thing. At the end, you pay for what you ate. I enjoyed an antipasti (olives, sundried tomato, and anchovy) and a fresh bread (warmed and sliced to order), and my total came to $40. Not too bad for a late lunch/snack. Nice ambience as well. Like other places in Causeway, especially near Fashion Walk, the prices are a bit too high for my ideal. But it's a nice place to sit down and has a very versatile menu. I may be back.
