Being from Chicago, I typically don't think of Pueblo Colorado as a "pizza town", but my daughter,…read morewho's spending time living here doing an internship, convinced us to visit anyway. She had been here numerous times and raved about their Romano specialty pizza. So on a hot and sunny afternoon, we opted to sit indoors, ditch the many dishes made with the local Pueblo Green Chile and dig into some pizza. The place itself has been here a while and features two floors of dining space - with the lower level opening up to outdoor seating on the famous riverwalk. Had it been just slightly cooler, we would've opted to sit outside. As it was like 100F we chose to seat inside which featured a view of the riverwalk from the second story. The space is big enough for large groups and parties and even featured a gelato bar. Our tandem of two waitresses (I think we came in between shifts) were both great and we wanted for nothing. I ordered a Breckenridge Vanilla Porter, which was tasty, but it unfortunately was not very cold. However, the Specialty Pizza Romana was absolutely a stand out. I guess the dough for this pizza is fermented and aged?!? Don't recall the exact process, but it was delicious. The pizza featured both a vodka marinara sauce and also pesto. It was topped with mozzarella, mortadella, prosciutto, capicola and salami. It was like eating an Italian sub on top of a pizza. All of it just worked together and made for a damn tasty pizza big enough to feed 4 adults. We were gonna try some other menu items, but there was only 3 of us and we were full after the pizza. So why 4 stars instead of 5? Aside from the lukewarm beer, we were joined at the table by an unusual amount of flies! I worked in restaurants and bars for years. I know flying pests are not completely in your control, but we spent a lot of time "shooing" and trying to swat pesty flies from the time the pizza hit the table until we took our last bite. Again, not a deal breaker, but more of an annoyance that prevented this from being a perfect lunch.

I'd pay it every time without hesitation. It's that good. But this visit turned into something straight out of an action movie. It's a blazing 90°+ day. We're posted up outside under the pergola, heat rising, drinks sweating... when we hear it--a frantic flutter. A bird trapped inside one of the support pillars. We flag down our waitress, Riley. She doesn't hesitate. She surveys the situation... disappears across the street... and returns like she's gearing up for a rescue mission--with a full-on tool backpack. No drama. No delay. She gets to work. Unscrewing the base anchors like she's done this a hundred times. I lift the pillar... and out shoots a disoriented finch, back into the open sky. Bird saved. Crisis averted. Pizza arrives. Riley isn't just a server--she's the kind of all-purpose hero you hope shows up when things go sideways. Give her a raise. Seriously.

This is a review for the bar at this food hall. Stopped in here on a Saturday afternoon. Wasn't…read moresure what I wanted so I checked out the menu and decided on the Espresso Martini. The description on the menu says "Vanilla Vodka, Luxardo Espresso Liquer, Simple syrup". Sounded like a pretty standard Espresso Martini. The glass arrived and it was the color of chocolate milk. I asked the bartender of it had Bailey's or something in it and she said, "yes". I pointed to the menu and noted that the menu didn't say anything about Cream. She said, "That's the way I make it." I asked her if she could make it like the menu and she said, "Yes, but it won't taste good." I asked her if she could make one with just a little of the cream liqueur, and she said, "Are you going to pay for other one?" I was like, "What the hell?!?! You make the drink different from the description and you expect me to pay for it?!?!?" I don't know if that's a Colorado thing or something, but I wanted to just walk out. This bar sucks.

They have a children's play area in the corner, tables and chairs, and a couch area along with outside tables available. The wings were delicious, the pizza was a hit with my son, and the Buffalo burger seemed to please my husband. I ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad from the pizza shop and it was good and filling. We also grabbed a few drinks from the bar which you are able to bring over to your table. Overall, this place is super chill and fun for the family or even a low key night out. All the establishments were friendly and the bartenders were very helpful. There was even live music one night we stopped in. Definitely will be back next time we are in the area.

Please note this is a buffet that serves chicken and wedges in their buffet. Not sure what would possibly take 30 minutes. On top of that I just witnessed an employee come from the back with a raw pizza dough crust in their hands. Trying to support local but the long wait mixed with the questionable sanitary practices. Will never be back. Also did not ask if veteran status but asked others. My man is a veteran. Pretty sad for a place that claims to glorify God positively impacting the world. Should have gone to KFC. Another cashier took over the counter and finally asked for a status. The food was done. Had been done long enough to soak grease spots through the boxes. We sat there long enough for people we saw come to eat leave. Should have checked the boxes before we left but were ready to get home. Got it home and there is a big piece torn off one of the breast. No way do I feel comfortable eating this food. Solidifying to never eat here again and advise my employer to stop any future bulk orders. No way to run a business.

They had so many options of pizza that they offered which looked delectable and they were unlimited, all you can eat, but not for me. As a vegan at least they had my custom pizza that they could veganize for me which was pretty good. I would come here again and bring my kids. They had a game room and arcades here as well and it's a great place for families.

A couple arrived after us, and they received their drinks from a different waiter before we did. We finally got our drinks and the Pepsi tasted extremely flat. Then, we waited and waited. Our waitress came over a couple of times and said the kitchen was backed up. She told us that she was just waiting on our wings. After waiting over an hour, we finally got our food. She brought over our pizza which had clearly been sitting there for an extended period of time. It was not hot. It was not even warm or fresh. It had the appearance of a pizza that had been sitting there for a LONG time. Then she brought over our wings that she claimed were fresh. They were slightly warm on the inside, but the sauce on them was cold to the touch. My boyfriend respectfully complained to our waitress, and she said she would talk to the manager. She came back over and said her manager authorized a 20% discount on the pizza and wings. The manager never made an effort to speak to us. We each ate a slice of cold pizza and a cold wing, but we decided we may as well go home to warm up our food in the microwave. At least it would be hot. My boyfriend tried to get our waitress's attention, but she just rolled her eyes and acted like she didn't see us. Her name was Parker according to the receipt. We finally got our ticket and boxes for our cold food that we waited over an hour for. It's sad that we waited an entire hour only to be served cold food and deal with an unprofessional and snobby waitress. The wait would've been okay if we had been served fresh food that we were patiently waiting for. This is a huge disappointment for a restaurant I used to love. Do better Thunder Zone.
