I hadn't really heard anything about this place when I decided to try it…read more It's actually pretty good for a chain pizza joint. I haven't tried anything other than the pizza yet, but I'm looking forward to it. I just got a recommendation on the steak & cheese sub. Usually I order a red pizza with old world pepperoni and garlic crust, and a white pizza with banana peppers and Italian sausage. I do ask for extra sauce on both, and balance it out by requesting they be cooked "well done." Haven't been disappointed with that formula yet.

You ever see commercials for a chain restaurant that you always wanted to try but is no where…read morearound where you live? Like it's teasing you and giving you false hope. Because, unless you were to take a special trip to find one, you will not be having it anytime soon. That's Marco's for me, among a few other, but Marco's is literally the one that pops up all the time, but is not around me. If I am being honest, this was a bit of a special trip for me, especially since I knew I could be tasting some of that pizza soon. I followed GPS here and thought I was at the wrong place at first. Because when I did so, I pulled up to what was once a Family Video store. Marco's took up a portion of the store. I had used the app prior to coming here to order ahead of time, that would equate to less time waiting and I could finally have that pizza in my hands. I walked inside and it is a rather small place. Mostly looking like a carry out establishment. There were a few tables, so I assume some may want to order in and eat here. When I showed up, my order wasn't quite ready and I did have a little bit of a wait. There was one other customer in with me who appeared to be a walk in customer. Watching this happen Marco's is a little like Little Caesar's. You walk in, order and have a quick pizza delivered to your hands. My pizza was finally done and I happily exited the store to my car and opened that box to a bit of disappointment. See, when I ordered I went with the pepperoni pizza. On their commercials it appears that the pepperoni form those little cups that capture the pepperoni grease. I know it's not good for you, but I just wanted to try it. All I ended up getting was a regular cheese pizza. Even though I was disappointed that didn't stop me from eating that pizza. It wasn't bad, kind of on par with the other chain pizza restaurants. For those that did not have the chance to try Marco's yet, it is a square-ish pizza rather than round. The amount of cheese on the pizza was impressive and, if they were around me, would probably be a favorite for a quick meal on some nights. Did it live up to my expectations? Kind of, I am happy that I was finally able to give a try.

The quality of the pizzas are amazing, and it's worth the added price for the quality you're getting. We had a rather large order and it took about 50 minutes to make from scratch to box. We ordered the following pizzas: Spinach Ricotta Calzone style - 5/5 Veggies & Ranch Chicago style - 5/5 BBQ chicken with onions - 5/5 Ham, Pineapple, & roasted peppers NY style - 5/5 Sausage and pepperoni - 4/5 Compare the quality to Scotto's or Giovanni's. I would say the pizza is less greasy than Giovanni's but there are slightly less toppings and the flavor is the same as their two competitors. The slight price increase appears due to be due to the quality and care that the pizzas are put together.

There is no shortage of small locally owned Italian restaurants and pizzerias in our area. Some that are closed for reasons probably similar to the poor experience we had today at Vasillios . When calling to place the order we asked if accommodations could be made for omitting a topping or adding a topping and the answer was no. Asked to speak to a chef or somebody other than a customer service representative answering the phone and could hear in the background just saying no we don't want to we don't have the time. Just tell them it's not gonna taste different with or without it!! What!! so again asked you have the ingredient but you will not put it on the pizza for additional cost ... "that's correct ma'am we don't want to just put it on your pizza for any cost. Order what we have or don't. " OK don't worry in the future we won't.
