First off, let me make sure I'm writing this review for the Pizza Hut further down HWY 12 and not the one up the road that has the appearance of a Pizza Hut. It is? Good. This specific Pizza Hut is a pick-up and delivery focused business and because of this I feel they have a chance to excel in what they do because they don't have to be focused on other things like prepping a buffet or cleaning up tables. The people you talk to up front are limited to just one or maybe two as the rest of the employees work in the kitchen behind the scenes which works well. As is, if I wanted to go and eat out at a pizza place there are businesses like Lost Pizza Co. but for delivery and carry-out it's a 50/50 coin flip between this Pizza Hut and Hungry Howies on the other end of HWY 12 in Starkville. The crust is delicious. I'm a big crust fan and prefer a moderately thick crust that I can chew instead of a brittle thin crust. This is a chain business, so all of their ingredients are pretty much the same as every other Pizza Hut, but every time I've ordered from here the quality has been consistently good and above average compared to... other Pizza Huts (You know who you are). For delivery or carry-out, use their website and get your order entered correctly. It's hard to go wrong with Pizza Hut unless you're a food snob (and nobody likes a food snob), so if you're in for having pizza delivered, give these guys or Hungry Howies equal attention and you can't go wrong. read more

Just had perhaps my worst pizza experience of all time at this location. Placed an online order at 4:52 PM yesterday with an estimated delivery of 5:30 PM. (If you order delivery at this location, your delivery will most likely be outsourced to DoorDash). As 6:00 PM rolls around, my order is still in the "preparing" stage. I try calling the store several times - each time, the store answers and immediately hangs up the phone. I try calling the DoorDash driver. He informs me that the store is backed up and short staffed, which is in his words, common for this location. He eventually cancels my delivery due to the amount of time it's taken for prepare the order. Another driver eventually accepted and delivered the order around 6:30 PM, nearly 2 hours after placement and an hour after the delivery time originally quoted. There are so many better places to grab a pizza in Starkville. Do yourself a favor and order elsewhere. With my rewards exhausted, I will do the same. read more

We've always done takeout, but due to my Covid booster yesterday I didn't want to drive. We've had orders appear at our door that weren't ours from various businesses, just like the Papa Johns one an hour ago, but when our delivery driver got here, he was so nice! Customer service A+. Our pizza is as good as usual, no surprises! I had called the store to check on it after getting the other pizza and he handles it beautifully also, reassured that the driver had 5 pizzas to deliver & he hadn't returned yet. Pizza was decent, but the service wasn't great. They snarled at me when I came in because they have a 2 customer limit-which I didn't know about. But then I could see in the back there were employees with their masks down. So clearly they weren't that worried about Covid restrictions. ‍ I'm just saying customers are literally paying your bills, so you might want to be a little nicer. Also, I stood there for 20 minutes before they gave me my pizza. I had already paid. They could have just handed to me instead of snarling and I could have walked right out. I've put off posting this for a while now, hoping that the next delivery might demonstrate an improvement. However, at this point I can't imagine a reason why I'd order from this location ever again. Don't get me wrong, this is not a review of all Pizza Hut delivery operations, but rather this specific operation in Starkville, Mississippi. My reasons for this review are three fold. First, their drivers routinely get lost when delivering to apartment buildings. For example, if you're in the Links the fact that the buildings have two sides to them is something that they never seem to process. So if you are on the side of the building away from the street, be prepared to walk to the street and wave them down, nearly every time. This may be due to high turnover, since I don't think I've ever seen the same driver twice. Whatever the reason, it adds up to a poor customer experience. Second, beware trusting the iPhone App when ordering from this place. The app offers a variety of such things as cheese covered Garlic Cheese Bread and, at one point, Diet Mountain Dew. You can expect an annoyed phone call from them expressing that their location does not offer that. The attitude of the Pizza Hut employee being along the lines of "didn't you know we don't offer that." The tone communicates that it is the customer's fault they ordered something listed on the Pizza Hut App, but not actually delivered by the Starkville operation. Third, if you ordered one of the new toppings, like spinach, don't expect it to actually be on the pizza. Three out of four times it is not there. If you are really fast, you could make a point to open the pizza before the driver leaves. When the failure is exposed, they'll offer to take it back for you. Considering how long you have waited to this point, that you are now standing in the street (as mentioned previously), and the other aspects of this operation, I would not suggest it. Thus, for a poor delivery experience, poor App-to-operation agreement, and poor order accuracy, I'd say order from somewhere else. It is a shame, since based on experiences in other markets Pizza Hut can be a good place from which place to order, just not Starkville. read more

The manager, Janis, was extremely rude and told me to bring my pizza up to the store to get a refund. I ordered delivery for a reason. I will never eat there again. read more

This Pizza Hut, unlike the other dine-in one on Highway 12, is one of the best Pizza Huts I have been to. The service is very friendly, and the Pizza is delicious. The order is almost always correct, and the one time they slightly got it wrong, they were very apologetic and immediately made me a new one for free. -----The other Pizza Hut, which is dine-in, on Highway 12, is never correct, and the 3 times I have gotten Pizza, there was hardly any cheese at all. The difference between the two establishments is night and day. This is definitely the correct one to choose. read more

Terrible customer service, refuses to make the order correctly, says it's the customers fault when they mess it up, claims the receipt say something different than I ordered and it's not their fault, when you bring the receipt to show them they push you off to having to deal with a manager who conveniently leaves right before you get there even though they were scheduled to work later. Tina is the store manager of this place and she does an awful job of it, does not train her staff properly and nobody cares about anything there. Ignore this place like the plague, there's a reason their phone number goes to a call center, because they are too lazy to answer it themselves. I wish I could give this place zero stars. read more

Between the two Pizza Huts that Starkville has to offer, this location is definitely the better option. This location is carryout/delivery only, but does anyone actually eat AT Pizza Hut anymore? I've had more good experiences here than bad ones. However, since Pizza Hut has introduced their new menu, the food has been hit-and-miss. A while back, I ordered a pizza with the new curry-seasoned crust, and the seasoning was actually doused right in the center of the pizza rather than sprinkled on the crust. Last night, I ordered two pizzas, both with new toppings, sauce drizzles, and seasoned crust. Neither pizza had the seasoned crust, and one pizza was missing a topping and a sauce drizzle. Fortunately, the kind lady operating the cash register offered to take the pizza back to the kitchen and add the missing ingredients, but she shouldn't have had to do that. An incomplete pizza shouldn't have left the kitchen in the first place. Perhaps the staff don't like the multitudinous options of the new menu, but hopefully their food preparation will become more consistent over time. read more
