After a long day of getting my car towed to VW in Little Rock, we passed Sylvia's and stopped in for late-night bite. What a surprise! This is the closest to NY Style pizza I've had in quite some time. I have to mention the cheese. The cheese actually has flavor! YUM! We are definitely going back. Our server said they are expanding their menu. The atmosphere is more bar/bistro than sit down restaurant, but there are some more quiet corners. I only wish they made a calzone!

It's my mom's place. After driving from Dallas, I was hungry and wanted something tasty. This pizza hit the spot. I got three pieces. I really liked how I could buy individual slices. I got a piece of the supreme, meat lovers, and cheese. The meat lovers was my favorite. Next time I'm in town I look forward to going again and maybe getting a drink at the bar.

Fortunately, besides horrible Mexican food, Mazzio's was open and sounded like a good place to go. Looked pretty decent from the outside and even nicer off the inside! Spic-n-span, not a piece of trash on the floors anywhere! Looks like everyone wanting to eat out had gone here today as well; since Labor Day is today, most places are closed and losing out on the business they would've raked in over the holiday.... Anyways, we sat down with our friends and started talking....God Bless our poor waitress who came by 3-4 times attempting to take our orders, but we were still playing catch up...she had the patience of Job. The ladies ordered hoagies and fries and 3 of us split a huge salad. My husband ordered a calzone circle and I had wings. Everything was excellent and those had to have been the juiciest, most tender and delicious wings I've ever eaten! The calzone circle probably would've been better if I'd looked at the menu and read them off to him, because his choice was...well...yuck! Ham, bacon and cheddar cheese. Blech! He smothered it in marinara sauce and managed to power thru about 4 pieces and had to quit to eat my wings (you don't think I'd honestly get to keep my food to myself, did you?). We had tons of leftovers and I managed to wrangle the waitress into giving me the bill, which was a very measly amount for 4 people and tons of food going out the door with us! I even gave her a great tip for being so patient and kind to us. All in all, nice place to go with your family. Haven't tried anywhere else in town yet, but there's always tomorrow! Would highly recommend!

The pies are huge and have eight slices. You can easily alter the pie. We had them add pepperoni to half of our pizza. We ate two slices each and brought home four slices. The server was very pleasant and was there to make us happy. The ambiance is simple, but the vibe is good...a happy loud, but not too loud. I made fun of it when I read the sign as my father would eat Vienna sausages but this is not that, so good! The pizza is actually really good and it's Chicago traditional not Chicago pie which is thick through out. Had the long count and it was delicious. I added a side meatball to try which was ok, i found it too crumbly and dry but sauce was ok. Only thing didn't care for was the cheesesteak. I guess I had a mind fart and was thinking Philly cheesesteak which I wanted. This is an overstuffed pot roast style sandwich which is not the style I like. Lots of cheese and didn't notice the peppers or mushrooms. The au jus added didn't help the sandwich. The fries were ok the onion rings didn't have flavor. Not a fan of big fried rings. Still that dog though haha! Service was friendly and it's a busy place.

First off, the pizza was absolutely incredible. They call it Chicago-style, but honestly... I lived in Chicago for 14 years, and I can't think of many places there that beat this pizza. We ordered the KO Pizza and it was outrageously good. Perfect crust, loaded with flavor, and the kind of pizza that makes you stop talking for a minute because everyone at the table is too busy eating. The place was packed wall-to-wall, so service took a little while, but it was worth every second of the wait. Honestly, when a restaurant is this busy on a Sunday night before Memorial Day, that usually tells you everything you need to know. Also worth mentioning: I ordered a "small" side salad... which arrived in what appeared to be a family-sized serving bowl. My mom and I ended up splitting it because apparently Rocky's definition of "small" is "feed a softball team." Prices were shockingly reasonable, especially for the quality and portions. This place is a true Hot Springs institution right across from Oaklawn, and if you've never been, you absolutely need to go. It completely lives up to the nostalgia and hype. And a special shoutout to Jamie the bartender -- infectious smile, bobbing her head to the music while pouring drinks, and bringing such a fun, welcoming energy to the whole place. People like that are part of what makes restaurants memorable. Can't wait to come back.
