However, they definitely weren't medium spice which was a bit disappointing. It might be the water in Okeechobee, but the pizza crust was dense. I suspect the cheese and pepperoni were of low quality, and the fresh garlic likely came from a jar. Overall, the pizza wasn't special and definitely wasn't worth the price. The space is casual and welcoming, perfect for a family meal, a game-day hangout, or just when you're craving a serious slice. We ordered a little bit of everything--because why not? The mozzarella sticks were golden, crispy, and came with that classic marinara dunk. The jalapeño poppers had the perfect crunch with just the right kick of heat. Then came the wings--juicy, saucy, and downright addictive (BBQ and teriyaki both hit the spot). But the real star? The pizza and stromboli. The pizza came out loaded with toppings, gooey cheese stretching with every bite, and a crust that held up like a champ. The stromboli was stuffed with melty cheese, peppers, mushrooms, sausage, and pepperoni--every bite a flavor-packed punch that makes you close your eyes and go yes. Joey's feels like one of those places that doesn't need to be fancy--it's just good food, good portions, and fair prices. Exactly what a neighborhood pizza spot should be. If you find yourself in Okeechobee, don't skip this place.
