We've really enjoyed going to this restaurant. We've ordered pizza and we have ordered calzones. The full calzone is enough for both of us to have two full meals. It is huge! We ordered side, salads and garlic rolls. All was delicious. The waiters and waitresses all move around like a beehive. They all have their jobs and they get them done. My grandkids really enjoyed getting to watch them through the pizza dough around. We will definitely be back. read more

I thought I'd give it a try.Since the new owners got decent reviews, my last experience was awful.This was not great. Order the stromboli. Menu says pepperoni sausage, green pepper, onion, mushrooms and cheese. I requested no meat, no green pepper and asked to substitute the spinach instead. We all know the meat is more expensive in spinach, so they're ahead. They charged me for the spinach, which was perhaps maybe a tablespoon, mushrooms were canned. What kind of restaurant serves canned mushrooms? It was disgusting. Bottom was soggy ! Canned mushrooms ruined it. Also observed a server picking lemon up with bare hands with obviously she bites her nails and placing it on a glass, then, takes the ice scoop, and instead of just using the handle places. Her fingers inside the scoop. Obviously there was no hand washing prior as I was standing there. Watching then through the ice scoop back into the ice machine. Very unsanitary. read more

I have been coming here for years and was happy when the new ownership came in and freshened up. However, that's about all they did. The service is awful. Erica is the only good server there. The other girls are snotty, don't ever check if you need anything, are rude on the phone. It took an hour to get a dinner salad, eggplant parm and a cheese steak sub and we had to get up to get a refill on our drinks. The sub was so overcooked it was like beef jerky, the eggplant was buried under mozzarella cheese so you couldn't taste it and the side of spaghetti was ice cold. My husband was craving pizza and being new to Okeechobee we thought we try this place. The place reminds be of my home town pizza joint. The place looked clean and service was pretty quick. We order a large with half his stuff, half mine. The crust was crisp, thin but not to thin, it was a perfect thin for eating without everything falling off when you picked it up. The sauce was nice and not to much, to much sauce makes pizza soggy, nice amount of toppings. Over all it was a good place but we will try others because it was not perfect, a touch to salty for us. Haven't been back for 4 years when the $19.99 cheese pie 20 wing daily special went to $23.99 and it was dirtier than Brantley's junkyard. Well, the daily special is now $33.99, add $2 more for our topping. In my return, the restaurant was clean, both in the dining room and behind the counter. Our food was cooked well; the pizza sauce was very good. However, when ever any Goodbread is involved with something, it is inevitable they will fail and disappoint. This is a second review for me for Joey's. We were very pleased with the pizza so decided to try the hot subs and calzone. We ordered the cheesesteak and veal parm sub. The veal was good as was the steak however very small for the price. Additionally the ratio between the bread and meat was wrong. Way too much bread. We also ordered the calzone, which was at best just ok. It was soggy and lacked any flavor. The sauce that it came with was very sweet. I think we will just stick with the well done pizza. read more

Local family owned Italian restaurant. It's small, even though they have expanded. They have a busy takeout business and the tables are set up to accommodate large parties as well as couples. It's loud due to the heavy traffic (people), but you can still enjoy it. The pizza is the best in okeechobee, and the rest of the menu is good as well. The best pizza shop in Okeechobee...not my first time here but always my first choice if I want Italian in this town. Food is always fresh and tasty. The servers and some behind the counter are always pleasant and friendly. Went in for a late dinner mid week closing hours 10pm we got there a little after 9:30pm and were still served with a smile. The chicken wings are pretty big here and the pizza is always well cooked crust is not too thick, just right! I also had the eggplant rolatini- not pictured but was also full of flavor and yummy. The garlic knots here are so delicious. Will always return back if craving some fresh pizza. Menu has many options even to a simple cheeseburger. Daily specials are offered for lunch and dinner. Pizza was delicious. We got the Supreme. Lots of stuff on it and lots of flavor. 1) Place was clean and welcoming. 2) Person who took the to go order was friendly. 3) Pizza was delicious. We hired Joey's Supreme Pizza to cater for our wedding. We were very satisfied with the customer service we received from Jenny (She's the best) and Mike (dedicated to delivering quality food). Our guests enjoyed the food - the food compliments were endless. Communication throughout the planning was really great - they took initiative in communicating with our venue- making the dinner service as smooth as possible. This is a hit or miss location. When it is good...god this is good. The pizza is perfectly crispy on the bottom and soft and greasy and everything good. But when it is bad.... it's bad... I think my main issue stems from the lack of focus at the delivery process. 9/10 my delivery order is incorrect...or cold...or missing a $2.50 side of ranch. Again, when it's good...it's so good. They just need to focus and invest in a better process to insure accuracy and a timely delivery.
