So good in the past decided to order pizza tonight, same result as the burger, dry and way overcooked. Maybe they'll get a new cook in the future and I will try them later but for now I'm done! Both of these orders were takeout so didn't find the problem until I got home.

We ordered one of their lunch specials which was a fried pork chop, we ordered a fried catfish plate, lastly i got their Big Cajun. Everything came out quickly, and tasted great. My meal was fried perfectly, the crawfish ettoufee was great, and my sides were delicious. The lunch special that was ordered by her family member didnt have a scrap left when our meal was over. My fiance loved the catfish. I had one to try and it was very moist, fried perfectly, and even the tartar sauce was good. Great overall experience for a lunch.

I'll start with the cons bc it's not that much- the line for seafood can get long bc of how the buffet is set up. If the ppl in front move along you can get through fast. If not you'll have a wait. Due to the location of the door and the hot food side a couple of flies might be trying to find their way in the door to get to a couple of the goods. Pros- seafood was plentiful and good. Crawfish could have used a little more spice but not bad at all. Snow crab were great. They also have Jonah crab but I don't eat those. Full seafood buffet on Saturday and if you don't want to wait too long, get there an hour before and join the waitlist on their website. Worth a drive down. Price wise for 2 with drinks cost 100 bucks so be prepared if bringing a large party. Can order off the menu as well.

Meal was tasty southern cooking but the pies are the real showstopper. We had coconut, chocolate, and peach. The peach has nutmeg in it so beware if you dislike nutmeg, like me. The meringue on the coconut and chocolate was a work of art and at least 6" tall. Absolutely worth the stop!

Shoot, once again I forgot to take a picture! There were three "blue plate specials" available,…read morefried chicken, turkey and dressing and ham with two sides, carrots&peas, and squash. We got the turkey. For the price(15.99), the serving of turkey wasn't very generous, maybe a scant half-cup of turkey. One the plus side, they did have dark meat, and it has some cranberry dressing. The corn meal dressing was very generous, and moist. It had a generous serving of carrots&peas, not so generous with the squash. We did get a slice of Bumbleberry pie, and peach pie. I was really looking forward to the Bumbleberry pie, as it was supposed to have raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries. I hope that's correct. I was picturing a slice of thick pie just brimming over with fat, juicy berries. Instead I got a thin, flat piece of pie with the bottom 3/4 of the pie filled with a pinkish-red opaque jelly of sorts, and a sparse, then layer of mashed berries on top, just plunder the crust. The body of the pie was just under an inch thick, maybe 3/4" thick. It was an EXTREME disappointment, considering how the town is supposed to be the ""Pie Capital of Louisiana". If I were you, don't bother getting the Bumbleberry pie, but do get the peach; it was outstanding! I wish I had the recipe! The flavor of the peaches came through, it was sweet and delicious, without being heavily sweetened with spices, overwhelming the peaches. Yummy! I'm only rating it a "three", as the service was lacking.
