And we are from Philly where we have tons of delish pizza options - so why get pizza in PR. The guy working was awesome and he told us what the freshest items were and we ended up talking to him for about 15 min. My bf said the pizza was really great. Then!!! Every single day at least once a day when we walked by we picked something up. I only got the meat empanadas personally. But they rocked and the price was right. I never bothered trying anything else bc I liked them so much. If I lived in Rincon I'd prob be eating lunch here every day.

A Culinary Highlight in Mayagüez…read more While visiting family from the mainland U.S., we decided to look for an authentic local dining experience and discovered Don Quijote. It's a simple, unassuming spot, but the food rivals any high-end restaurant. We ordered the grouper, which was exceptionally fresh and flavorful, accompanied by perfectly seasoned vegetables and a high-quality green salad. The wine pours were generous and very reasonably priced. Beyond the food, the service was superb; the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. This is a five-star experience. It will definitely be a destination for us every time we return to Mayagüez.

Great local restaurant with excellent pizza and much more. As plates passed by from other tables,…read morewe immediately regretted not ordering the mofongo with one of the many options available. My wife's veggie pizza was excellent, and she was more than pleased with it. Unfortunately, my experience was quite different. The kitchen apparently skipped my pizza, and after waiting for some time, they seemed to rush it by taking those toppings and placing them on another pizza that was already being prepared for someone else. It was obvious because the extra toppings were not properly cooked--they were neither crispy nor fully cooked. It was disappointing to see the quality sacrificed because of a lack of organization. There's no doubt in my mind that if my pizza had been prepared properly from the start, following the correct cooking process, it would have been a phenomenal pizza.

I had been coming to this place since I can remember and have great childhood memories here. Now let's talk about the visit: started with their small sampler. Veeeery generous portions. The sorullitos were the best I've had in a while. Their mofongo was still on point with the vegetable broth and carne frita. My only comment about it is that the broth had more tomato than I remember but it was still good. Service was great as wait times for food were reasonable. Place was not packed for a Saturday night. One thing I would not recommend of what I ordered, is their Sangria. Not good at all, but the food very tasty, fresh and warm.
