Hubby and I stop in here on our way shopping maybe once a week. Wednesday we stopped in and the service was awful. Our pizza was burnt and the waitress didn't seem to care. She took our food back yelling to the kitchen, It's going to be one of those nights! She then began complaining about her schedule where the entire dinning room could hear her. Our new pizza was under cooked but we didn't get to tell the waitress. She only stopped back to drop off the check.
I contacted Pizza Hut online and the general manager called me, apologized and offered me a $30 credit to use over the next three months. Hubby and I decided to stop in this afternoon after a movie. The place was packed. They had one waiter there working his tush off to serve all the tables. He was so busy someone from the kitchen had to come take our order.
Our food arrived in a timely fashion and again the pizza was a bit over cooked. I mentioned to the GM on the phone that maybe he should check the temps or the height of the broiler settings, apparently, it wasn't checked. This time we just kept the food because after all it was free. Our ticket came to $18. We were stoked because that meant we had at least one more meal.
We told the waiter about our situation and how the GM told us to just give them our phone number. The waiter explained it usually only works that way for take out. I went over the whole situation with him, he apologized and said he'd talk to his manager. As he explained to manager on duty, I heard the entire conversation. Apparently in Pizza Hut, they do not understand that sound travels. In any event, I over heard her say that it would take our entire credit for the one meal. She said did you explain that to them? The waiter said ok, came out and delivered a pizza to a table and started busing several of the back tables from the large group that had just left.
He walked back to the kitchen to ask if we were square. He said, "Is that credit table good to go?" The manager replied, "Yes, you explained it to them right?" He said ok, and then came to us and said you're good to go.
Needless to say, no one came and explained anything to us. Apparently based on the over heard conversation, Our $30 credit for our trouble was a medium pizza and some fries.
The manager never came out, no one said anything. At first I was going to message Pizza Hut Corporate again, but really what's the point? It is really obvious that no one at that store knows how to work with customers, work in any conflict resolution or even provide the basic common courteously that should be given to anyone coming to your establishment to spend money.
I realize it's Goldsboro, and it's Pizza Hut but for crying out loud could someone give two shits about their customers???
Stay home, make yourself a pizza. It's not worth the bother. Even for free. read more
