The options for a lunch special pasta dish were so plentiful, I needed some help deciding. I started telling my new Italian friend all the things that I liked, and he said, "Try the eggplant parmigiana!" That turned out to be an epic recommendation! My lunch started with a fresh salad and some rolls that were topped with melted butter and fresh crushed garlic. When my entree was presented, I knew that I hadn't been steered wrong. A crispy, thick sliced piece of eggplant was peaking out from under a thick, spicy sauce. Melted cheese with a sprinkle of fresh parsley greeted me, "Hellooooo Sailor." I should've taken a picture, but I was beguiled. One bite and there was never a thought about stopping to take a picture. What can I say but COME SEE FOR YOURSELF!

I was a little suspicious when I arrived at the turn, but pulled up to a quaint little spot behind/next to a house that had an inviting Open sign. The Pizza is amazing! Simple, fresh ingredients that you can taste without the unnecessary additives and sugar. Had to try the homemade butter pecan with brick oven roasted pecans. It was very tasty as well. The pecans packed a delicious pecan taste even if they were small pieces. I do wish I got the peach cobbler though.
