Looking for a place to order pizza on a Monday before 4 pm is not an easy feat. Pizza hut was it. I was disappointed to find nothing else was open I had waned to go to. That said, I'm giving this place 4 stars because while the pizza wasn't the worst it wasn't the best but the service was great. It was only about 4:15 when we got there and it was basically empty. The pizza was just coming out of the oven and the person at the counter was friendly and helpful (I forgot my glasses and couldn't read the card scanner clearly). I felt it was pricey at almost 22 and it was a bit greasy (hand tossed) but it did the job we needed done and I appreciated the friendly atmosphere. read more

It was very late in the evening and we were looking for a quick bite to eat, and Pizza Hut was there right next to our hotel! It was perfect because we got a pizza, salad, and some beers. The pizza was good, the salad was not the greatest (it needed a lot less iceberg lettuce, and more nutritious veggies). Shock Top beer was in a bottle and was as good as expected. The waitress was very nice and helpful. The ambience this late in the evening was quiet, calm, and had a quirky college feel to it. read more

I am getting really frustrated with this Pizza Hut since they switched to using DoorDash delivery. My orders are always late, anywhere from a half hour to an hour late. This is not acceptable for a business that allows you to schedule deliveries for a specific time. read more

I just have to say when I went into the Pizza Hut there was literally food and garbage on EVERY table where I couldn't even sit down with my family and eat . I went up to 2 workers and said excuse me repeatedly until I had to yell it loudly to get their attention. Finally a girl turned around and I asked her if there was a garbage pail so I could throw out some garbage and make room on the table the worker rolled her eyes at me and walked away . I continued to walk up to the cash register where she went and I said so is that a no for the garbage pail? once again I got an eye roll and the response " guess not " they did not even have a garbage to throw anything out ! but shout out to one worker (shorter small girl) who was literally doing everything ! i definitely recommend driving down to Pottsdam and go to that Pizza Hut instead! read more

This was my first visit to the new Pizza Hut built in Canton. The improvements include a bar which is exciting. The first thing I noticed was how clean everything looked. I did not realize the time when I arrived but it was 4 minutes before they closed. I felt horrible and was going to leave but the cashier encouraged me to come on in. He was very welcoming, sweet and professional. He offered me the takeout AND dine-in specials (I was surprised because, like I mentioned, I came in four minutes before closing and I was the only customer in there. My pizza was prepared where I can see them hook it up and came out exactly the way I ordered it. The 10.00 large however you'd like it was completely worth the calories. I'm doing my best to avoid the fast food but I'll definitely do an update when I get a chance to check out the bar. read more

New style Pizza Hut's are coming to a town near you. I had a chance to test one out and I have to say I was not very impressed. Pizza Hut needs to realize it will take more than new makeup for them to become a sports bar. The food is the same Pizza Hut pizzas and salads. Not ever being a true Pizza Hut fan, I would rate it as average. Nothing new. Now for the specifics. I ordered the soup, salad and breadsticks. Don't worry Olive Garden, you do not have to worry about Pizza Hut. The only offer tiny cups of "canned" soup, 5 flat breadsticks and a tiny salad bar all for roughly the same price as Olive Garden. Not even close. You dispense your own drinks. The service at the restaurant appeared confused at times and the food took longer than normal to serve. The restaurant was clean (was still new). After evening, I would rate my experience as 2 stars. I liked the old Pizza Hut better. read more

For years my family has visited the Pizza Hut in Canton but after the new change of management and the events of the past few months, we will no longer be taking our business to this particular restaurant. In fact, the change in atmosphere at the Pizza Hut has been so bad that I felt that I should write this letter to the editor to warn other diners. The first problem we noticed a few months ago was when we were dining and we were quite surprised to hear a song repeating the n-word over and over again. We have worked hard to keep our children from listening to such music and were shocked to hear that sort of language on the radio at a family restaurant. When we addressed our waitress about it, she was extremely apologetic and immediately went to the kitchen to talk to her manager. Well, her manager, some young lady named Julie refused to change the music and we were told if we had an issue to discuss it with corporate. Against our better judgement, we again went to Pizza Hut for our daughter's birthday recently (at her request.) We found that the quality of food was drastically lacking and were absolutely appalled to see the manager berating her employees in the dining room in front of other customers. (The same manager from before, nonetheless.) When we were sharing this story with our neighbors, they stated that they also thought the level of customer service and professionalism had really taken a nose dive in the past few months as well and they too had stopped patronizing the store after they heard about a young black girl who was hired by the store, not given a start date, then fired for not reporting to her shift. Racism. Lack of professionalism. Horrible customer service. Awful food. Unwelcoming and hostile atmosphere. Just save your money or support the other pizzerias in town. read more

We just went to Pizza Hut in Canton, NY. We asked for a table because booths often don't have enough clearance for full sized folks. After we were seated, we were asked to move because they wanted the table for a larger party. We could not fit in the booth and had to leave without eating. Very upsetting. It's Pizza Hut, you know what you are getting. Greasy Deep dish pizza that isn't very homemade or unique at all. That being said it is still tasty and the people who work there have always been friendly and the service is always quick. It is a great place for groups and I used to go with my hockey team for the pizza buffett which was quite a deal. I pretty much stick to Josie's for the most part because they have better quality pizza but sometimes there is nothing like that greasy crust you get with Pizza hut deep dish pizza. read more

This is a failed concept for a pizza place. I thought that ruining pizza was impossible, but unfortunately Pizza Hit did it. The crust was dry, sauce felt as if it had been wrapped with plastic wrap, and stuck in a fridge for a year, the breadsticks were awful, you have to fill your own drink, the ordering system seemed odd and unnecessary, so hence the one star. read more

I would have a higher opinion of the place if the manager last September wasn't so paranoid about donating to charity. Everywhere else my Godson's JDRF walk team went to was super accommodating and generous. This Pizza Hut wanted a copy of the 501 c3 before they would even talk to them. Sure, sure- it's a Pizza Hut. That being said, the staff there has been top notch every time. They've gone out of their way to be friendly and personable, but not so much that it's annoying. I love the new style Pizza Huts! You grab a menu when you arrive, then when you're ready to order, you step to the counter, place your order, and then go sit down. No waiting for an overworked waitress to take care of yourself you. (I'm looking at you, Evans Mills Pizza Hut.) Nacho Cheese Fries were a special, so of course we tried them. Skip it! I always visited this Pizza Hut while attending college but now it is horrendous. Come to find out, the management changed which chalks up the horrible staff & pathetic customer service. I called an hour ahead to order on a Sunday evening for 6pm. When I got to the restaurant I wasn't greeted at the counter for nearly 5 minutes, I was simply gawked at from the pizza makers. No one came to me and asked if they could help me. I had to walk into the dining area to flag down a waitress! Best part, they didn't even start my order! I was informed they do this for freshness??? I asked why would I call an hour ago then? Then JAMES - who took my order & gave me the pricing after I repeated the order 4 times (I am not kidding) to him was the most ignorant person in the place. I began telling the waitress that I was told a different price on the phone & JAMES started shouting & swearing while trying to protect his "pricing method." Needless to say I didn't get what I ordered for the price I was told. I would actually give this place a ZERO if that were possible. I am actively seeking out the owner of this establishment just to tell them about this horrible visit. This Pizza Hut is the best Pizza Hut I have ever been to. The management and the staff are the most friendly people I had the pleasure of meeting. It is very family friendly and, the food while not completely homemade tastes like it was made straight from mom's kitchen. The pasta is out of this world, the bread sticks are to die for. I really can't get enough of this place I 100% recommend this restaurant!!!! Now on to the management, during my time there I forgot my wallet at home and asked to speak to the manager if the store to see if they would allow me to run home and grab it. The manger who came up to the counter to my surprise wasn't some old man, but a very nicely dressed, very put together woman (I'm not sexist just most pizza huts around the area were managed by men)She introduced herself as Julee and, I then asked if I left her with my phone if I could run home and grab my money. I went to eat at the new pizza hut in canton, ny for the 1st time. I don't like the new layout of the inside. First I felt pushed to order because there was a line waiting to order also. I also felt it was loud inside with everyone seated so close together. It felt like a fast food place, where you order, get a number and then eat and run. The old store, you were valued.. you were waited on, served, and had time to pick what you wanted. This new pizza hut, you walk in, order like McD's, if you want something later, you gotta go back up and order it, you serve yourself, and its much much smaller then the previous location.. also, prices have obviously been jacked up to cover the cost of the new building.
