The manager was standing right outside the door vaping and never attempted to move. Just puffing and blowing! I have never in my life encountered such a train wreck in all my life at a place that is serving food to the public. The guy at the register got our order wrong and had to correct it. We attempted to get our drinks and find a table. There was so much food underneath the tables, trash was overflowing, and the tables were filthy. Finally found a table we could wipe down ourselves to eat. A worker came out on his break and sat at the stools right in front of the drink station. He smelled like he hadn't bathed in weeks, and the stench took over the whole lobby. To top it all off, we looked up at the hanging lights above the table/tables and they were full of dead bugs and flies. The grandkids had to use the bathroom before heading back and there are just no words for the filth my daughter encountered in there! You all are going to make someone sick serving food in this place, or catch something in that cesspool of a bathroom. There is no way you are serving sanitary food when the place is a pig stye and the hands of some of those serving the food are filthy! The health department needs to come pay you all a visit! That thought came to mind today as I pulled in to the empty drive-thru for lunch. Have you ever noticed that if you spot an empty drive-thru that two or three cars pull in ahead of you? As if they were sitting around waiting for you to decide just so they could get in front of you at the place of your choosing? It is uncanny... So, two cars pull in ahead of me and my life flashes before my eyes. I'm gonna be here forever. But the first car stopped at the order station and in seconds pulled forward to the pay window - and the same thing happened with the second car - I didn't even have time to shift into park and turn on the radio! Then, I had no sooner pulled to the speaker than a pleasant, disembodied voice asked me what I would like to have. I told her and she instantly gave me a total and very polite instructions as to my next move - "pull forward to the first window." When I made the turn the first car had already picked up a couple sacks from the second window and was headed for the exit. by the time I paid the second car was departing with food. I got to the pickup window and a smiling lady was standing there with my order as if I'd called ahead. I asked for a condiment and she turned and asked another worker for the product. I listened and it sounded like everyone working inside behind the counter were saying, 'yes, ma'am, yes, sir,' to EACH OTHER, not just the customers. What? Isn't it 2018, the age of apathy and laziness? It was like I'd gone back in time to when people were proud of their work, their workplace and their product. Impressed? That would be an understatement. This was not only the fastest trip through a drive-thru I can remember, it was also the most pleasant, by far. Hat's off to Wendy's, Campbellsville and whoever was setting the pace for quality customer service today. Lastly, you may have noticed I only gave four stars.
