Excusing the out of towners who may or may not be used to such southern cooking here where pride and honor in preparing a dish for either someone you attend church with, or meet from another city, it's highly acceptable to consider that they want you to enjoy your food at all costs, and wait times may indicate the positive, healthy energy chefs want you to feel after eating what they've prepared for you! Also a hardworking and previously restaurant worker as myself, I understand wait irritation, but it soon dissipates when tasting something reminiscent of my grandmother's cooking, knowing it is not only delicious, but healthier than any fast food chain or frozen and thawed half way cooked food you get served elsewhere. Take pride in a good day and may God bless them from one day that may leave them with a bad review. Keep up the GREAT work!

We got take out, a loaded baked potato with beef and a three meat plate. The potato was cooked perfectly, and the chopped brisket was meaty and tender. The three meats (chicken, ribs, link) were smoked to perfection. The chicken was done but not dry (a miracle outcome on my smoker); the rib meat easily pulled right off the bone, but held together well; and the link was flavorful and juicy. The side dishes - green beans and loaded mashed potatoes - were just OK; but you don't come here for the veggies. There's a new owner in town, and it is readily apparent.
