"Food, Glorious Food, Going to a deli…read more It makes me feel good, It makes me feel selly." (well, "silly" didn't rhyme, so if Ogden Nash could mangle words to make them fit his poems, then so can I) Oliver Twist from the crappy musical "Oliver!" would have a good time here. The menu has several selections of sammys for sale, both meat and non-meat. You can also pick out what extras you'd want: mayo, pickles, hot peppers, garlic, or oil (likely not 5W20). Location: On the road to Kountze. Too far to walk there from the high school, but close enough to the hospital. Several fast food restaurants within close distance. Parking lot is only one lane wide, but you should still be able to find parking. Know your limits. There are three sizes: 4 inch Skinny, 8 inch Original, 12 inch Big. The Hunny had a Chicken Club, I had Mama's Meatball. I marked mine down to 3 star because I had multigrain bread, and the strange grain taste overwhelmed everything else, and I've had better meatballs. The Hunny liked hers, and was pleasantly surprised to see bacon in there. For the less important things: Decor didn't really stand out. Service was with a smile. I joked about getting multigrain bread ("can you tell I'm from California?"), and the girl said "so's my boyfriend. He loved this one sandwich shop where he came from, and he said that Potbelly is better!" I doubt that anything can beat Capriotti's, but maybe there are selections at Potbelly that do. I'll need to investigate, heh heh. I ate at Firehouse Subs some time ago, and I think their food is better. I may have just gotten a raw deal at Potbelly this time, or maybe I should get white bread instead. Whatever. Potbelly Sandwich Shop is an option if you're in the area.

Growing up eating ONLY barbecue prepared by my PawPaw, I have always refused to order restaurant…read morestyle because I knew it wouldn't be as good. Then one day when I was starving, a friend brought me lunch from Dickey's. I was hooked... No matter what meat or side you choose, you won't be disappointed. They have a special every day, so I have eaten everything they have and love it all. My favorite "go to" is the pulled pork, which comes with one roll, but I get two extra. They have different sauces, so I grab some extra mild sauce on my way out. My secret is cutting the roll in half, load it with pulled pork, drown it in sauce, and eat it like a slider. I make my three sliders and have extra left over! The ribs fall off the bone, the beef melts in your mouth, and the sides... do NOT skip the baked potato casserole! But again, they are ALL so good. They also do large combination orders and catering! If you check their website, you'll see their current combination specials. They cater for holidays, too! You can dine in or take out. They have an app to order online and a system for bringing your cup back in each time for drinks. I often see groups who work together dining in. Someone commented lately about how many paper Dickey's bags I have. My response? Apparently they're just that good!

You can't go wrong with a spicy chicken breakfast burrito with that tasty packet of salsa! When I pulled up to the window, I was not greeted and I just sat there watching everyone inside the building for close to 10 minutes. They were a regular amount of busy, nothing too crazy but the gentleman that was running orders and the other few workers near the windows didn't say anything to me about the weight or a good morning or anything at all. Which is normal for any other fast food restaurant, but not the service I would expect from Chick-fil-A. All in all, if I was driving through and needed to stop again, I definitely would.

I had the fajita taco salad (not crazy salad like, definitely didn't overdo the lettuce but I also didn't feel like it was just one ingredient, had a good mix of stuff. Also husband, when he was picking up curbside, saw them turn away two pple who weren't wearing masks, so felt pretty good about them taking covid seriously.

I had heard good things regarding the food at Silsbee Tiger Hut so decided to give them a shot…read more Overall, I was pretty pleased. I placed a to go order for 3 regular, standard hamburgers and a large order of onion rings. I ordered the burgers with grilled onions instead of standard onions. The onions were grilled nicely. The burgers were pretty good. I don't know if the patties are 4 oz or 6 oz (6 oz might be my guess), but it was a nice meat to bun ratio. Also ordered a large onion rings to go. They were cooked nicely, light batter and lightly fried. Paired well with the burgers I ordered. Don't be misled by my rating of 4 stars. If possible, I would have rated 9 stars out of 10. My only minor drawback was that I felt for the price of a large onion rings, the serving portion could have been a bit larger. Overall, was pleased with my first visit to Tiger Hut. I plan on returning within next 1-2 weeks & ordering burgers again and perhaps this time also trying out a chicken fried steak order to go. The ambience is 'local small town nice'.
