I was picking up an order my sister placed and it was a curbside pickup. Im doing this review because of the excellent service we received when we arrived to pick up the pizzas ordered online. We had just parked and we were looking at the sign to make the call but even before we had a chance to do anything, a lady comes out and takes care of our order. She went back in for our order and came out in a minute. She was wearing a smile and this was one of the best quick service experienced. The order was correct and pizza hot and fresh. Thank you Christina for the excellent service provided that day.

We always see this restaurant when we are doing road trips, but I had never tried it before. We…read moredecided to make a run through during our holiday drive. We went through the drive-through, and it went really quickly-Despite the amount of cars that was in the drive-through. It kind of reminded me of an old timey diner... similar to In-N-Out, burger... As far as style. They have a very small menu of burgers, fries, drinks, and shakes. However, this place is nothing like In-N-Out. I'm not a fan of In-N-Out.(sorry) P. Terry's much faster and I felt like we were only in line for maybe eight minutes. The Service was very friendly and helpful with questions that we had... Since we've never been there before. The burgers were fantastic. Much better quality than any fast food restaurant. The burgers were thick , juicy, and flavorful. The buns were very soft and tasted more fresh than typical fast food, restaurants buns. They also make their own sauce, which was actually good... I usually don't like "special sauces". My daughter also got a Carmel shake, which actually tasted really good as well. We look forward to having this again on our next road trip.

Like this location but the drive-through line is VERY slow during dinner hours. They have two lanes…read morebut only use one.

Trogging through paperwork and the sloth paced management team we were looking for both a change in scenery and pace and we found it at Barstop Roadhouse. Upon entry you're greeted by the crooning of Johnny Cash and the bustling kitchen working with precision accuracy to deliver and create meals worthy of the title "best burger in Barstop county for 18 consecutive years." We sat down and within seconds a server appeared with menus and a friendly smile. We scrounged the menu looking for a burger that would appease a hunger only equal to that of a Lovecraftian god. I chose the swiss mushroom burger an exception had to be made because as you all know I am deathly afraid of lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and onions. I feared that taking these items off of the swiss mushroom burger would sully the appeal and flavor profile. Upon arrival of the burger all doubts where cast aside. THE BURGER The burger arrived bathed in a golden glow. Covered in button mushrooms and layered with delectable Swiss cheese these two ingredients elevated the burgers taste profile. The mushrooms added a deep umami flavor that was perfectly paired with the sweet tasting swiss. The buns where the ribbon in top, sweet sourdough bread conformed to the burger creating a warm pillow separating fingers and patty. To summarize this single mushroom Swiss burger turned a travesty into a celebration of life.

We have been visiting Schlotzkis restaurant in Bastrop off and on for over 10 years and usually…read moreit's a good dining experience, but this past Saturday we went there for dinner and were very disappointed. what we noticed first was it was not busy at all, which usually means you will get even better service. unfortunately, that was not the case. We also noticed that the owner (Luke?) was not there and there was a noticeable difference in the level of service. we ordered 2 kids cheese pizzas, but were then told there was no pizza dough. we were told they would use an alternative bread, but when the food came, it was 2 grilled cheese sandwiches. next, my wife ordered a salad but it arrived with no bread, so she had to go back to the counter to ask for bread. then, she discovered there was no tomato. when she asked if the salad comes with tomato, she was quickly told "no", but when checking the online menu and the menu behind the counter, it clearly says that the salad includes tomato. the workers seemed bored and unconcerned with providing good customer service. some of them were hanging out in the dining area and did not seem to like being bothered. very disappointing! all I can hope for, is that the owner/manager reads these comments and takes steps on improving service, especially when he's not there. the food (and service) have been good in the past. we would like to continue to visit Schlotzkis in the future, but for now, we will dine elsewhere unless there is a positive response to this review. fingers crossed! if I knew how to contact the owner directly, I would not leave a negative review on social media.

Rockstars! I had a LAST-MINUTE order for 14 sandwiches at 11:15...ugh. The manager/owner, Luke,…read morewas super accommodating and made it happen, in lightening speed!

Whataburger isn't just a meal, it's an experience. If you are visiting TX, you don't experience…read morethis on the same level as a Texan does but if you're in the right headspace, it's awesome. First, I want to point out that it's important to manage expectations. When I fly Spirit Airlines, I'm usually satisfied because I don't expect the same level of service & quality I might find on United, Alaska, Delta, & Southwest. I pay less and I get less and that's OK. This is not a steakhouse burger, it's fast food and I feel that it's better than most of the standard chain-faire. Is this the In n' Out of TX? Kind of. I'm a Seattle native and I grew up on Dick's Drive-In, which I still love & I believe is the reason that In n' Out will never try to breach the Seattle market. As any Seattle native knows, CA started invading our city in the 1980's and you can easily see the ultimate results of that. I'm not here for social commentary but I will say that WA set themselves up for their fate by already embracing a lot of CA's bad ideas before the invasion began & then enacting them when the echo chamber became overwhelming. I don't think Texans would tolerate that. One of the things I hated about the Californians is how snotty they were about Dick's Drive-In. They would crap all over it because they preferred In n' Out & frankly, I've tried them both many times and I'll stick with DDI. This was my third trip to TX, & my first to the Austin area. I have moved to NV since my last visit and my perspective has changed a bit. I think the first two times I visited, I was a snotty Northwesterner & I instinctively looked down on TX because it wasn't like WA. Since I hated the way the CA people did that in WA, I realized I was a hypocrite. This time, I came with a new attitude and I saw it all through a different lens. I love it now. I love how friendly the people are. I love the overall attitude and vibe. Eating at Whataburger was fantastic. I'm not a huge burger eater beyond DDI but I enjoyed this meal more for the experience than for the food. I don't want to short-change the food, it was tasty and the portions were good as well as the prices but the employees and other patrons were wonderful. I had never been to this city before and they treated me like a part of their community. I love food and even do food blogging and videos and I would urge all of my friends to go try Whataburger with an open mind and an appreciation of a true TX experience.

Went thru the drive thru, ordered chicken strips, gravy, French fries, got home had a burger and…read morefries. It's not rocket science people. I'm done...no more Whataburger!
