OK I visited Pizza Express this week at the Trafford Centre, Manchester, UK, and Overall I thought the place was good though with a few noticeable oddities.
OK first off we went out for a friends 25th, with 10 people, our group was by no means small. The service was great, everyone's food arrived hot and on time, however their range of alcoholic drinks are abysmal, its either spirits, wine or one type of lager. No cider (my favourite) or cocktail list to be seen! (Appletini's are fab!)
If your ordering a garlic bread, note that they are very small, bun shaped affairs however I already knew this and don't mind them... they are however not for sharing!
I always go for the Pesto Pasta dish here, although it was nice, the cheese was very elasticy and you practically had to cut the stuff with a knife, it simply will not break easily, well without the food being flung on the older couple sat behind me.
The venue was ok, the Trafford centre kind of determine the structure of all their restaurants, and they have made the most of the room available. The kitchen area is easily visible which is also a nice touch and reassuring being able to see your food being prepared.
All in all we were happy with the service we received! Hope this helps! read more
