Giant Slice
Sandy G.

Their giant slice pizza is almost as big as filling as the medium size pizza at other places. Great portion and great value. You can taste the real tomato sauce in it and the pepperoni are well spread amond the pizza slice. Service was enough as I only ordered take-out.

FV Pizza D'z I'm here for the homey Italian vibes, big portions and fan favorites on the menu items. While the photos have admittedly swooned me my experience may have been tainted because this simply a must dine-in experience. I couldn't miss out on their 30%off a large pizza (though in the comments I asked for a medium/ I just wanted the deal) That said I scored with some lenience and gave your pizza a 4 . So how did it taste? - There's a an art to a good pizza. The two prominent components that are always up for debate us the pizza sauce and the dough. That said, the pizza was flimsy. Well cooked but just lacked the texture I'm hoping for from a slice when I order thin crust. The tomato sauce was robust, vibrant in color and flavor with a hint of garlic sweetness on the tail end. Def one of my favorite notes of the evening. The pepperoni and pineapples were a chefs kiss as the pineapples were not too hot and the pepperoni left you asking for more toppings. So it's a biased 4 Star for me. If the pizza wasn't flimsy and have a few more toppings I'd score higher. What I will say is I am looking forward to my next dining experience with FZ Pizza Dz's

Fountain Valley pizza Dz has one of my favorite dough in town! Their calzones and the giant pizzas are top notch. The service is great , the ambiance is bright and love the tables and comfortable seatings. Management and staff are great. Highly recommended !

Mozzarella Cheese Sticks and Breaded Artichoke Hearts

Fun pizza experience! Edison was a such an attentive waiter. He was engaging and checked in with us to make sure everything was going well. His appetizer suggestion was spot on with the yummy mozzarella sticks. Pizza was gourmet, loved the lemon pepper wings and the fried onion hit nicely with the strong onion flavor. I'd say the onion was al dente, because of the spiciness of the onion when it's not completely cooked. Old school vibes with the Pac-Man machine. Nostalgic feels from the good o'days of the 90's / earlier even. :) Loved the vibes of this place. Would definitely come back. 10/10 recommend.

Umm food is absolutely and momo is the best waitress ever and needs a raise asap and apart from other restaurants in the area this was the best experience me and boys had even tho we were giving momo a hard time she was amazinggg

Cheese Pizza

Authentic Italian restaurant serving fresh, in-house made food prepared by Italian chefs. Our menu features homemade pizza, pasta, sauces, and traditional Italian cuisine made daily with premium ingredients. Ideal for family dining, catering, parties, and takeout in Fountain Valley.

Came for a late Sunday lunch. We were seated right away. My daughter & I shared fried artichoke hearts & shrimp Alfredo on penne pasta. The Alfredo sauce was delicious and smooth. Lots of shrimp was on the pasta too Server was prompt & attentive. Will come back with whole family

Well we had several items in our group. 4 wonderful types of pizza Hawaiian Pepperoni Pepperoni b jalapeño Sausage We had fried zucchini and a blooming onion, Plus spinach lasagna and house salads with homemade ranch dressing and Italian dressings! And with the fried zucchini it also came with marinara sauce that also was delicious. Our server was very busy taking excellent care of our group of over 15. She even brought out pepperonis for our meal. It was really bright and appealing.

Personal pizza 4 toppings included!!

Came to try the new to us FV Pizza Dz. We are a family of 3 and love Italian food. Been here when was D-oro,now we highly recommend FV Pizza Dz. Food is excellent and very reasonably priced. Service is some of the best in Fountain Valley. Vinny (our server) recommend the spinach lasagna, and he was spot on. Very fresh tasting, with delicious marinara sauce. We also got the garlic cheese bread and a "giant slice" cheese pizza. Every thing tasted grate. Super happy with this restaurant.

Restaurant clean and friendly Wait time was reasonable especially because the staff was so accommodating during our wait time that we didn't even look at the clock The food was great

Onion Blossom

I will admit I was not sure how to feel about this place at first since it was an italian restaurant but upon stepping inside i saw a bunch of asian instant noodles. Seeing the thai tea on the menu didn't help either but i was pleasantly surprised. It seems like an asian/italian restaurant that doesn't take itself too seriously. I recommend getting the onion blossom, and beef lasagna. The portion size was pretty big so come hungry or with friends. The chicken carbonara was ok except chicken was a little dry. If you can ask for my man Edison! He was pretty cool to talk to and helped us figure out what to order. I would definitely come back again and try some of the other menu items.

I decided to phone in a to-go order while waiting for my son, as he was finishing up for track practice. We headed over to pick up our large pepperoni pizza and garlic breadsticks. I was offered either pizza sauce or meat sauce for the garlic breadsticks. I picked regular marinara and ranch. I ended up receiving marinara and meat sauce. I didn't feel like driving back and they didn't charge me for it, so no big deal. When I arrived the owner offered me some iced tea while waiting, which was nice. The staff was all friendly and trying to do a great job with their customers. The owner I believe was there helping out his staff, encouraging them, reassuring and praising them. The space was large and comfortable. My son and I enjoyed everything, even the marinara sauce was delicious! We will definitely be back!

Their cuisine is a mix of Argentine and Italian. The restaurant is located at the end of a strip mall with plenty of parking available. Seating options include the patio in front which has heat lamps, a small bar area, and tables in the main dining room. You can make a reservation either on their website or by calling them on the phone. Our server greeted us promptly and brought out a generous serving of warm, fresh bread which was delicious. We ordered a few beef empanadas ($4 each) and a side of chimichurri ($2.50). They came out hot and were very flavorful. We also ordered the Scampi al Vino Bianco appetizer. The five jumbo shrimp were large, and the white wine garlic sauce was good. There was no question about what I was having for my entrée, the Medallon de Lomo, a grilled 10 ounce filet mignon (only $43!). It may not look like 10 ounces in the picture, but it is a thick cut, and was grilled to a perfect medium rare plus as requested. The steak was flavorful on its own, but it comes with its own side of chimichurri sauce which I love on steak. The vegetables were good and seemed fresh, not frozen. This was definitely the best deal I've come across for a 10 ounce filet mignon and a side. One of my friends had the Parrillada Mixta ($68) which is a large serving of various meats including skirt steak, flap meat, short rib, Argentine sausage, blood sausage, and sweetbread. It's served on a big cast iron platter with a flame underneath to keep it hot. It's an entrée for two, but he ate most of it on his own, although we did give him a little help. He said he would pass on the sweetbread next time, and substitute one of the sausages for more meat (extra charge). It also came with a large serving of roasted potatoes. Another friend had the Paella Mixta ($32). It was a good size with a mix of clams, mussels, calamari, shrimp, vegetables, and rice. Our server Fred was very friendly and took great care of us. Their menu is large, I would definitely return to try other items or have another filet mignon. The only negative is that they close somewhat early at 8pm on Sunday and Tuesday through Thursday, so plan accordingly.

We parked in the lot and came for an early dinner at 5PM on a Wednesday so did not have to wait. The restaurant got busier as the time got closer to 6PM. Service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal, truly stellar. Many servers were bilingual in English and Spanish. There were also a few foods and goods for sale. The interior of the restaurant is reminiscent of a wooden house/cabin. As for the food, the complimentary hot bread is very tasty, and we enjoyed the Ensalata Argentina also. We ordered the Parillada Mixta for two (comes with side choice of fries, roasted potatoes, salad, or sauteed vegetables and we chose vegetables), as well as the Risotto Don Juan de Marco. The parillada came with a substantial amount of meat kept warm on a grill, accompanied by a chimichurri. The short rib meat was a bit tough but still tasty. I felt like the risotto was good but not outstanding. We finished with a creme brulee for dessert and someone also ordered a coffee (cortadito). The meal was solid though came out to $150 after tax and tip.

This review is long overdue. I have been coming here since they opened a year ago. I don't live in…read morethe area but anytime I'm close by, I make a point of stopping by. It is THAT GOOD and worth it. Here's why: Pros: - The pizza! The variety of pizzas, crust styles and toppings. There's something for everyone. You can buy by the slice or a whole pie. You know how pizza sits in the display case and you get the dried out, hours-old slice? Not here. Every slice is fresh, chock full of toppings and flavor. My fav is the fig one (fun fact: each SH has a signature pie and this one is theirs!). My husband loves the pepperoni on Grandma style crust. Their variety of choices elevates pizza to the next level. -Not feeling like having pizza? No problem! They have amazing salads, subs, sides and pasta! Their vodka sauce is out of the world and the fresh meatballs taste like they're handmade by some sweet Italian grandmother. The garlic bread is "bomb", according to my teens. -The staff: always greeted with a smile and great energy. Efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly. - The restaurant: always clean, plenty of tables and seating, and multiple TVs. Perfect spot for a date, family dinner or team celebration after a game. They have patio seating too for those that prefer outdoors. - Prices: This place won't gouge your pocketbook. In this economy, I appreciate the meal deals and getting the quality I pay for. Their portions are big enough to share and there's something for everyone at difference price points. Cons: - Parking can be challenging during busy times. They share the parking lot with a big center but fortunately, SH is on the corner and you're not having to fight all the people in the center of the lot. Honestly, that's the only con I can think of. I wish I lived closer but that's not their fault lol. Please give them a try if you've never been. This is not your average neighborhood pizza joint. You won't be disappointed!
