Alla carbonara

Hugeeee portions!! We got to go food but once we got there to pick up our food, kinda wish we stayed for the energy. Seemed a lot bigger than we imagined and very old school Italian. There's gelato at the front too. There's an outside patio that also gave lots of options. I swapped for gluten free pasta 3.50 and it was delicious and even added some chicken to my meal. Great that they had options and even better that the portions were so big

On my most recent visit, I had the opportunity to try one of their calzones. My friend and I split a large calzone and it was really good! I can't remember the last time I had a calzone but I'm happy I had it here. For the price, I felt it was worth every penny as the portion was massive and it was very flavorful. It had the right amount of every single topping and I felt like I wouldn't have been able to eat it all on my own. Also, the service was absolutely excellent. It was extremely busy in here on a Saturday night but the server and bussers often brought us water and cleared the table of plates when needed. Plus the food was out really fast, we had all our food in about 20 minutes or less.

In HB, this Italian gem offers generous portions, with an unforgettable dining experience marked by excellent service. My family enjoyed our experience. Server Linda was warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about providing top-notch customer service. She brought out huge bread rolls. Our pasta dishes bursted with yummy Italian flavor, rich sauces and portions were huge, making it a great value for both casual dinners and special occasions. We came right before noon on a Saturday and it was not super busy yet so we were able to eat and enjoy conversations without competing noise. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a hearty Italian meal.

Came here on New Year's Eve, expected a long wait, terrible service, and decent food. I'm happy to report that only one of those was correct. Also the bread that they gave was so addicting we had to eat it twice. Caprese My girlfriend loves this classic food and you can never go wrong with this: It's literally three ingredients. It was clean and good, although in my eyes it was missing some kind of acidity to it. Margherita Pizza A very juicy and good pizza. A lot more dough than I thought it would have judging by the looks, but still very good. Spicy Vodka Pasta Maybe it's personal preference, but there was a sweetness to the sauce that I did not like. It reminded me of the Rose Buldak flavor. Not my style of spicy vodka, but idk it might be how it's supposed to be and I'm just used to Americanized Cheesecake Factory style. Raspberry Sorbet The final desert that I was pleasantly surprised by. The tartiness and the fruit made it a very good refreshing desert to eat after all the filling food.

Yes I definitely recommend this awesome Italian restaurant! This place is a local HB favorite. Friendly and great service. Need to go back soon to try the other dishes since each time we go seems like every dish we tried is so good. Generous servings too.

I came in today for lunch with a friend and we had a fabulous time. We had reservations and were seated right away. Once at the table our waitress (I didn't get her name) greeted us with a warm smile. She took our order and was off. For lunch we enjoyed a side salad, lasagna, and the grilled veggie sandwich with chicken added. Everything was great! The salad had pickled veggies on it which was unique and tasty. The lasagna and sandwich were HUGE! Enough for two to three meals! Everything was delicious.

We can never get enough of this place. This is our favorite Italian restaurant to go to! 1. The food & service is amazing as always! We love the staff! 2. My son loves their mozzarella sticks and pepperoni pizza. He also always reach for their complimentary rolls before eating his meal. We always leave feeling happy knowing 3. Great amount of food for sharing. The vibe is very family friendly and you can also enjoy watching sports at the bar. If you are planning to have dinner here on a Friday evening, I highly recommend making a reservation. It'll save you a lot of waiting time before you get seated. Also, parking in the front of the restaurant is limited so there's parking in the back of the restaurant.

We were huge fans of Spaghetti Bender in Newport Beach. Sadly it closed down after many years. A craving for something to fulfill our favorite restaurant drove us here. Although not quite as charming or personable as Spaghetti Bender was, we love it in a different way. Food is really good. Portions are big enough to have leftovers for the next day. They do charge for every extra addition to your spaghetti which I'm not used to. Our server was very nice and friendly. This might just be our new spot for delish spaghetti

This was a good experience. Feels like a family Italian Joint. If you live in the neighborhood over there, it's a good Pizza and Pasta spot. Our server Tyler was very helpful and super nice. The rest of the staff was nice as well. Everything was good EXCEPT the bread they handed out at the start of our stay. It was stale. I'm assuming it's normally better since we went in on a Monday night. Change the bread and these guys have 5 stars from me in my opinion. Other than that it was a cool atmosphere, they had the playoff game on, plenty of options on the menu and a decent size alcohol menu. it's always good to watch the Steelers lose which made my stay that much better. Will definitely come back.

Ordered over the phone for pick up Sunday. Large sausage and peppers sub, large Buon Gusto sub and medium Alla Grecque pizza (Mediteranean). Subs come with a delicious (tiny) pasta salad. I really loved my pizza toppings: sundried tomatoes, olives, feta and sausage. The crust was not my favorite. It was a cracker type thin crust which was a little dry. Like a traditional wood burning oven style. I see now on the menu that they have a thick crust so I should have tried that. My husband and nephew loved their subs - they were giant and tasty. I really liked the side of pasta salad that comes with the subs, I just wish it was bigger! I'm not sure if you can order a bigger one, something to ask next time. We've ordered To Go a few times and eaten there once. It's a popular place for sure.

Buon Gusto is a family friendly restaurant with delicious food at very good prices. The service is consistently good, and the food is as well. Their portion sizes are very shareable with plenty left to take home as well. Their house salad with pickled veggies is excellent! The mozzarella on top is the perfect accompaniment in my opinion. This is a regular go to spot for me and my family and I recommend making reservations on Sunday evening.

The service was on point. We started off with a peach cocktail unfortunately I can't remember the name of the drink. I had the Prickly Pear cocktail and my hubby had a Lychee martini I believe. All of the drinks were phenomenal! We ordered some of the croquettes and a watermelon salad with goat cheese too. They were both so good! The drinks were what we were there for but we just had to try a few of their yummy dishes too! So if you're ever out, cruising the Pacific Coast Highway look For Nardò' and give them a try you won't be disappointed, I know we weren't. We will be back. Lol

Food was great! Desets were ok. Service was great!!…read moreWe started off with cheesey garlic bread. Everyone loved it. Then we all had a fresh salad, everyone ate everything on their plates. Daughter's shared linguine and clams. They really enjoyed it. Waiter brought it out already in separate plates, which was nice. They are both usually picky eaters. One finished and the other almost finished their portion. Wife and son both ordered lasagna. They both really liked it. Wife said it was very fresh. The tomato sauce wasn't thick meaty, sloppy and overpowering, but light fresh and not too sweet. It was definitely a healthy portion of lasagna. Wifey ate over 1//2, and my son usually finishes his plates, but couldn't finish the lasagna. I had the seafood linguine. I can't eat tomatoes, so requested the sauce to be changed from tomato to the wine sauce. They were able to accommodate. Fresh pasta and seafood. I ate everything on the plate, and soaked up the sauce with the warm bread that was served upon request. Now the desserts. We had two of each of the canolis, and tiramisu. Wifey said one of them didn't taste freshly/ home made, but forgot which one. That was the only negative I have. However we did eat all of them, sooo.... Ambiance nice candle lit type atmosphere. It was night time and we ate outside, so it was perfect.

I came in very hungry and was greeted with so many good smells. Everything on the menu looked good and I couldn't narrow it down, so I asked my server, Elwin, if he had any favorites. He was excited to walk me through his favorites on the menu which helped my table decide what we wanted to get. We started with calamari which was easily the best calamari I've had. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. 4 of us shared the fetuccine gabriella, pappardelle veal ragu, scampi cefalu, and 2 stracciatella soups. Everything was delicious and we had a great variety of flavors to try from. I really appreciated Elwin's patience, excitement, and insight helping us select dishes and it made for a fun and memorable night. We topped it off with some gelato which was absolutely to die for. I can't wait to visit again next time I'm in the LA area.

The bread was light and addictive, as usual. And breaded batons of Mozzarella Marinara were superb with a mild Marinara Sauce draped over them. Only the artichokes were wanting, with little vegetative meat on the leaves. For me a piping hot bowl of Stracciatella, with egg yolk and spinach circling on top, was next, followed by a pretty good House Salad with Creamy Italian Dressing. And Sausage & Peppers nicely covered by a saucy Red Sauce, featuring small tubular hunks of mild sausage and bell peppers cooked al dente, nicely filled out my memorable repast. Others in my party very much liked their Lobster Ravioli with Alfredo Sauce, Beef Ravioli with Penne Pasta, and Veal Piccata with Bowtie Pasta. Service by Rachel C. was excellent. And we liked our table placement in a corner of the restaurant, which promoted private conversation. For me, Mangia Mangia remains the premier Italian restaurant in Huntington Beach. As it advertises, it truly serves authentic Italian cuisine.
