I decided to try Geogia's on Holywood High Street as there's always a queue and I've always wondered if it was actually worth waiting for. First thing I am going to say is the staff are great, there were 3 working when I went in and they seemed to be running a tight ship, each person had their job and they were performing their jobs to perfection. I asked if they took debit card but unfortunately they didn't. The chap working said I could place my order and go to the ATM further up the road and by the time I got back my food would be ready. He wasn't wrong because I came back to the shop just in time to answer the all important question, 'Do you want salt and vinegar?' The food itself was good, although not mind blowing. There's plenty of competition in this area for fish and chips so Georgia's always had a lot to live up to. I got a 'Cod Supper' - I got loads of chips (too many) but the fish portion wasn't huge although it was fried to perfection. The meal was enjoyable and I will definitely be back although I might try something different from their large menu.

On occasion we've found that the likes of the chicken burgers and goujons etc can be a bit sub par, this is a let down considering the chips themselves and the fish portions are by turn, that bit above average, so on average it's average, unless you go for fish and chips, in which case I think you should be happy enough! The only other thing of note would be that if you are passing, getting stopped outside is unlikely as there are only about 3 spots to park on the bay outside.

The standard is always good if you just want a quick bite to eat. Everything is always well cooked and things are served fast, which are the main things you are looking for in a fast food outlet. Where it has the edge on takeaways and chip shops is its small but perfectly formed deserts range, as it has a lot of keenly priced ice cream sundaes and muffins that are very nice for the minimal price! My best Supermac's memory thought is as part of the Des Bishop Work Experience that was on RTE a few years ago. Im sure no one can blame me. When you walk into this little restaurant, you are walking up to a counter and ordering your dinner. They have 14 varieties of chips, priced from £2.20 (small chips)up to £4.60 (taco chips with bolognese and cheese). There are four varieties of fish (i got the fresh battered haddock at £3.60) and fries and gravy for £3.40). The fish and chips were delicious. The gravy was bland (hence the 4 stars instead of 5). The serving was extremely generous. This isnt the best fish and chips I ever had, but I would put it easily in the top 3.

I waited a bit pleased that the food was being cooked to order. The portions of cod were huge, with fresh, white chunky and skinless meat. If you aren't sure how fresh cod tastes try it here as it's very fresh. I thought each chip portion was a tad mean but once home and in the plate it was generous enough. The food is cooked in beef dripping. There is no substitute good enough, groundnut, peanut, rapeseed, olive, corn oils none come close. The batter was towards thin and I like that, and to be fair the food sat in a take out bag until I got home and put out the plates and do on. Despite this the food was excellent, perfectly good food and still quite warm. A chip buttie was a must. Now I've eaten some of the finest foods on earth but I gotta tell ya the taste of a white soft pan bread chip buttie with a bit of salt and a generous slap of butter is wonderful made all the better with hot tea. The glowing reviews are right, it's a great place. The next time I want very good fish & chips I know where to go. Maybe next time I'll sit in and have it at its very best. Who knows now that oil prices have fallen the prices here should drop too.

The bloke from Love Pizza was calling me back from his personal mobile as they were having an issue with their phone..nice service. The family have been well trained to keep their mucky paws off the food until I get a photo for yelp but once the photos had been taken they all dived in. The tomato sauce was nicely seasoned with herbs, cheese was generous to the point of almost being too much on the pepperoni pizza! Toppings were nicely distributed and the pizza dough was tasty, my only criticism was I would have liked the base cooked for maybe 1min longer to be a bit crispier but that was a minor detail overall. 2 16" pizzas costing the grand sum of £12.99 was more than enough food for a family of 5 and a bargain. I'm not a fan of cold pizza but the rest of the family love a slice of leftover breakfast pizza and declared the pizzas from Love Pizza to be the best breakfast pizza they have ever had.
