The bottom line is this is not an honest or honorable business. My saga began when I ordered a specific dogwood varietal. The tree arrived in good shape but was obviously the wrong tree-totally different leaf. I contacted them and sent pictures with no response. I could kick myself because I usually look at reviews before I buy something on the internet and now looking at the reviews I see where this is a common problem. Then suddenly I get a long email about how they are trying to do better and want to make things right. Then after another week I get an email claiming they sent the right tree and if I just stick it in the ground for a few years it will magically turn into the tree I wanted. Hello, I ordered a pink/magenta Crape Myrtle from Pixies Gardens in 2022. I had previously gotten Cherry Laurels and they shipped as expected and are now a healthy 5-6 feet tall. However, the Crape Myrtle that they sent me is not pink/fuschia. It is purple. It took a few months to discover of course since I ordered in March and it didn't bloom until July. I have emailed and postal-mailed Pixies Gardens asking for any explanation and none has come. I first assumed that it was a mix up in the warehouse or grower, where someone mis-identified or tagged something incorrectly. I placed two orders through Pixie Gardens. One was for two trees, and one was for three rosebushes. Almost immediately my two trees died, and only two of the three rosebushes survived. I have been trying for the better part of a year to reach them. I have literally left over 100 voicemail messages and it also says that you can text that number. I have sent numerous text messages and have yet to receive any response. I finally sent an email. I got an automated message back that says somebody will get back to you in 2 to 3 business days. I still have not heard back. I still try to call and all you get is a robotic message that says agent is available. Do not waste your money as there is absolutely zero customer service. However what I received were toothpick-sized tiny stick cuttings measuring 9'' including oversized pot, while all it needed was a 3'' pot MAX. I've paid $69 + $25 shipping for this plant and I just want to know if anyone would pay $70 if you saw these sticks in your local nurseries. I have been purchasing plants from number of online nurseries for years and I've never had this much of shock and sadness. I was pretty impressed how they stand by their product. I ordered 4 trees from them and out of those 3 survived and one died. They asked for some proof and then, within just 1 week replaced the product. In the past, other nurseries would tell me to wait 6-8 weeks to see if the tree revives. Of cpurse that meant keeping a dead tree in my yard for a few month and then they would ask me to mail it in! Often it was a large tree and mailing it would be a hassle not to mention quite pricey. Pixies Gardens take complaints within first two weeks and actually issue replacement. The remaining 3 trees are thriving. Ordered two trees from them, Kawanza Cherry & a Redbud, both 3 gallon that was supposed to be 4-5' tall. When they arrived, they were in a 2 gallon pots thrown in a box with zero supportive structure. The redbud had several branches broken off, so there were only two viable at 2' growth not the 4-5' they were supposed to be, and the cherry only had the current year's growth and was maybe 2' tall. I contacted them regarding the order & the fact that they shipped the wrong size plants/pots and received zero response. Now the redbud is dead & I've had to replace it. I need to catch the spring planting season. On Apr 18th, I wrote an email asking if it was shipped. I waited for their reply until Apr 23rd. They say it was late due to Covid-19. They would ship by "next week", meaning the week from Apr 27 to May 3rd. On May 1st I heard nothing and reminded them to inform me one it was shipped and 4 days later they replied sure. This has already been May 5th. Around May 11st I called them and no one answered the phone. The recorded message said they would call back in 24 hours and that did not happen. The next day I wrote to cancel the order as I have missed the season. On May 13th they replied and said it would be shipped by May 18th. Today is May 19th. Nothing happened. I am asking them again to refund. I'd they don't I have to dispute the charge with the credit card issuer because this is a scam transcation. I totally understand the impact of Covid-19 and the hard work of business owners. However the problem is this business keeps going back on their words. And that is illegal, unless it's a custom order. On April 30th I got an email that due to the Corona virus, shipment was delayed but they would be shipped the end of the week. Ordered a tree from them. Was delayed with deliver, arrived in a damaged box, wrapped the roots in plastic vs a burlap sack, the tree was completely dead when it arrived to my house in Colorado. The leaves are completely wilted, the leaves have bug holes in them, the tree was completely parched and dry, most likely sat on a UPS truck in the heat for way too long. Overall poor packaging is what lead to this tree coming in the shape it did. Some branches were broken and the odds that this tree will come back after enduring everything it has been through are slim to none. This company says it prides itself on how it ships and handles its plants with care. This is completely off. Horrible packaging when shipping a living tree.... I'm called the moment I got the tree to complain but no one answered. I just emailed as well. I just had the most wonderful experience this past Saturday! I cannot find the words to express how AMAZING this place is and how equally amazing the family is as well! LOOK NO FURTHER! Not only do they have a beautiful and extensive collection of plants and great prices... but the educational experience they provided was worth my money in and of itself. DO NOT ORDER FROM PIXIES GARDENS!!! I ordered a tree from this company as I believed that it was a reputable business, BOY was I wrong. I understood that due to Covid 19 any delivery might take awhile so I wasn't initially questioning their ethics. My payment was processed almost immediately yet three weeks passed and I received no shipment notification. I decided I should try to contact someone so I called, and called and called some more only to have no one answer. I left numerous voicemails and received no response, I emailed multiple times and there was absolutely no communication back from anyone. Multiple attempts to simply ask if they are eventually going to send my product were completely ignored. They continued to ignore all of my messages even as they updated their website and Facebook page daily. Finally I messaged them directly through Facebook messenger and someone did respond, yet through it all all I was given was their same universal response that they have been giving to all of their victims. "Sorry for the late reply, We try to ship the plant as soon as possible, but it is getting delayed due to COVID-19 and taking a bit longer. We will be able to ship your plant by the end of this week." Well after a month of waiting I finally received my Order of what they claim is a 5 in 1 cocktail tree only to find that the top of the tree is completely dead, angle cut with shears for some reason. The lower leaves are eaten up by insects and it almost certainly can't be a 5 in one tree as it only has 3 limbs. It honestly looks like they just grabbed a dying weed off of the side of the road and threw it in a box! I doubt this tree (air quotes of tree) will survive a week in the ground and I am concerned about having it near any of our other plants and trees since something clearly decimated it's leaves. I should have looked harder at all of their reviews before I ordered from them. There are so many horrible reviews of this company and many of the 5 star ones on Google are created by people who have never reviewed anything else before or after, many of these seem to be fake reviewers or possibly even friends of theirs. This company even has an F Rating with the Better Business Bureau and I can definitely see why. I have gotten better trees from Lowe's, Home Depot or probably could even from a dumpster. This was supposed to be something fun I could plant with my three year old but instead it has turned into a headache for me.
