Sigh. The customer service inside of the store was good. They had a nice amount of options but $20-$30 for a jar of honey is outrageous. I purchased a brisket sandwich and fried green tomatoes. Small, cute and southern hospitality! The pickles they make are awesome, the boil peanuts wasn't anything great just a normal taste but good. We also tried the fried green tomatoes which were not very flavorful and they were extremely greasy. Despite the small things we would definitely go back for the pickles, they were just right. read more

I was hangry and on a mission. A mission for cheesesteaks. Mission accomplished. Located at Knight's Market is the best Philly outside of Philly. Served on a delicious fluffy roll with peppers and onions that, somehow, maintain their shape but melt in your mouth. Served all the all the way, I also had mushrooms that were the perfect little surprise with each bite. I went with the home fries (some of which I had already sampled before taking the picture) a unique cut and delightfully interesting texture! While I waited for my Philly to be cooked, I was able to browse Knight's diverse selection of plants and home goods. You'll find everything from homemade pickles to fresh peaches (or whatever is in season). Sit outside, enjoy the fresh air and beautiful array of plants, and, most importantly, get your Philly-fix. Okay! First of all. Yes! I was driving down a no name road in McDonough desperately needing water and came across a country shack that might've been questionable. The store was quaint and country, nothing really of brand. Mainly fresh produce, bottled/ real canned good, so I thought it might be a good place to get something to eat. I inquired with the owner, he directed me to the Knight's Market in downtown McDonough. This is that place. The inside is just as country as the initial store. Parking can be limited on busy days, but it worked this particular day. I opted for the chicken salad sandwich as the lady behind the counter said the club was so big you could eat it all day! Whew! Each sandwich comes with a pickle. I added provolone to the chicken salad sandwich. It was bussin. The ingredients were fresh and blended well. I could taste the mayo. I would guess dukes or Hellman (the real stuff) or a hell of a generic. The chicken salad had smashed grapes - it worked. I also got the apple and peach fried pies. They weren't anything special, but I was appreciative of the homemade taste of them. I definitely recommend this spot if passing through McDonough - captures the essence. Delightful stop. read more

I wish negative stars was an option. One of my very dear friends had an awful experience at the location in downtown McDonough today. She, a black woman, went there for lunch and whoever the older white man and older white woman were that were working this afternoon made their racism incredibly apparent. My friend said hello and was ignored, and when she said she'd like to place an order the man responded by pointing to the door and very harshly saying "you'll have to eat out there or take it to go." There are no signs posted advising patrons that indoor seating is not available, nor that food must be taken to go or eaten outside. She was obviously surprised by this but advised the man she planned to take her order to go. He rang her up and she walked around the store while waiting for her food. Meanwhile, a white coworker of ours that was also there got immediate, friendly attention from the man and woman, and when she placed her order she was not given the same harsh warning about needing to eat outside or take her food to go. The woman was friendly and chit chatty with our coworker, but wouldn't even make eye contact with my friend when giving her her food. My friend also noticed that the woman kept eyes on her as she was walking around the store. They saw my friend and coworker come in together and saw them interacting with each while in the store, yet treated them in two completely different ways, very obviously based on skin color. I'm sure plenty of people have had good experiences here, but I (and so far about 40 other people that have heard about this incident) will not ever give that place the time of day. I sincerely hope these people acknowledge their nasty behavior and make changes accordingly. The BBB and relevant city and county entities have been informed of this incident. read more

Food is inconsistent. I order from DoorDash. The restaurant is not that far away so it should arrive hot sometimes it does. Sometimes it doesn't. I've ordered the grilled cheese grilled pimento cheese, and roast beef sandwich. Again inconsistent. Sometimes it's awesome. Sometimes it goes in the trash. read more

I appreciated the selection of flowers. I wish they would have had more smaller starter plants for sell. However, I enjoyed the overall country feeling of the store and the homemade chocolate cake was definitely the icing on the cake. I purchased some affordable succulents and an ivy plant. read more
