My doctor referred me to Absolute Rehabilitative Therapy. I was not looking forward to coming and thought it would be a waste of time. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of Professionalism and knowledge that Dr. Martin displayed during my evaluation. He was able to accurately diagnose my condition as Rotator Cuff Tendinitis. Whereas my personal doctor and the Urgent care doctor brushed it off . I was a little biased that Physical therapy would not help and I viewed it as a useless exercise. I was very surprised that my should did recover and I was able to resume some of the exercises since my shoulder was healing. The exercises, the deep tissue massages and the Ultrasound therapies were great. I will miss the Ultrasound Therapy and the Deep tissue massage the most. The staff is very friendly and easy to work with. The Office Manager Catherine was always available to answer any questions that I had. The front desk receptionist Noel was always efficient in calling me for my reminder appointments. Erica, Irene and Doug helped to make physical therapy bearable with their pleasant demeanor and easy going manner. They also work very well with children who were there for services or the kids that tagged along with their parents. They also had very convenient hours so I didn't have to miss time from work for my appointments. The only thing they could work on is having a dedicated assistant to work with the clients during the appointments. Sometimes I would forget the exercises so it would be helpful to have the assistant stand by to make sure you are doing it correctly. They would correct me when they saw my form was wrong. Sometimes they were busy setting up rooms or assisting other clients. Dr. Martin had the option to either extend my PT or discharge me. I asked him what his recommendation would be. He suggested that I be discharged since I was about 85 percent healed. I was impressed because some doctors would just keep adding in visits to get more money out of the insurance. After 2 months of visits I was happy to be leaving with a stronger shoulder and less pain. I would recommend Absolute Physical Therapy to anyone who needs a reputable physical therapy practice.

The staff is very good and polite . I felt that my therapy was very positive. I would recommend…read morethis business.

Anton Matveev is a liar, has a horrible patient side manner to include assault & a terrible memory…read more Upon my 1st visit I was explaining military incidents & VA treatments & he asked if I was sure I was receiving that treatment. I think it's unprofessional to ask me if I'm lying about VA treatment. Matveev could of asked for my clinical notes to read the specifics so that a patient doesn't know his internal feelings that he thinks we're liars or can't remember our specific treatment methods. At that same visit, even though I brought all my MRI discs in with me, he was dismissive & stated he believes my pain only stems from my neck & radiates downward. I reiterated the neck & other locations happened different years in the military & are separate. I showed him the report & told him they uploaded my MRI of my other location. Matveev then said he can do an ultrasound & take a look to verify. Upon doing an ultrasound he stated he did see the injuries BUT he never apologized for being dismissive. Matveev discussed hydrodissection & I asked for the ingredients since I'm allergic to some things. He gave it to me & I looked it up & told him that was ok to use on me. We set a follow-up appt BUT at that follow-up appt for my 1st set of injections I'm asking him about the specifics and he wouldn't answer me. After the injections he tells me he altered the procedure & didn't use dextrose because he thought I was allergic. I had to remind him that I looked it up in front of him & told him it was ok. I also told him I'm not use to a medical employee not going over the procedure prior to it starting. You can't make a decision without an individual approving that beforehand. A patient's body is not "property" of anyone. Matveev also unprofessionally compared my injuries to other patients my age. Since I'm not an identical twin in DNA to anyone & you don't treat my blood related family, then you can't compare me to strangers. To have an idea about a person's potential "degenerative" path, you must compare older blood family members such as siblings, parents and/or grandparents. If my blood related elders are perfectly healthy in their bone structure and joints etc., then my injuries incurred in my 20s have nothing to do with "normal degenerative" findings for a person my age based off of strangers my age. This verbiage is a constant unprofessional take on individualized care. Matveev then wanted to talk about my aggravated body language & why I seem I'm displeased when he speaks. So I discussed the above with him. I told him my pet peeve is being called a liar & you don't know me, so speaking in that manner is always going to set me off. Then I said do you know how often a female is asked questions like "are you sure you own this home by yourself?..." etc. Matveev only then humbled himself & said he now hears it & apologized for his verbiage. My last appointment which was the final straw. I told him that the VA did a painful procedure (because I keep all physicians informed in different networks). He asked me to stand up & face the wall away from him while he sat behind me. He grabbed my shoulders & swiftly turned me to the right & said I need you to turn like that for me. A sharp pain stabbed me due to the VA procedure location. I told him you CANNOT turn me like that. The next task he did the same thing again. I told him not to do that again. Then he lied and said I needed 2 separate appts on 2 different days to accomplish the next series of injections. He stated insurance doesn't allow 2 appointments with the same medical person on the same day. I decided to not call him out in his lie. I was getting a procedure covered by insurance & another procedure I was paying out of pocket so the out of pocket procedure has nothing to do with insurance for regenerative services. So there would only be 1 appt that involved insurance but at this point with the unwanted physical touching and the history of his unprofessional behavior & narratives, I was done. There are better & cheaper regenerative places I now know about like ROSM.

In the meantime, I receive various confirmations about my appointment. I had no idea that they never received the confirmation from Worker's Comp. but continue to send me confirmations for my appointment. I showed up here for my appointment only to be met at the registration desk with "we do not have a confirmation from your Worker's Comp". I proceeded to say why wasn't I informed that nobody got a confirmation and it's been three weeks? Some blame shifting took place. I was very upset that I drove here 30 minutes away and to wait about two hours to not be seen nor met with any compassion for this situation at hand. The way in which the conversation took place, you would have thought that it was my fault, and I should have confirmed with them, though I am the one who seeking help from a five star orthopedic. This is unfortunate. Maybe you will have a different experience, but I just wasted three hours driving to and from and waiting there just to not be seen. Awful!

We have been to the Waldorf office, Prince Frederick as well as both LaPlata. My 4 star rating is for Scheduling. The new girl started around January or 2023. She is a complete idiot. Our surgery was rescheduled 3 times because of her. There is now a new person (the manager from Prince Frederick) and she is wonderful. I wish she had been there to help us but it's cool she is helpful now. The Dr did come out to speak with me after hubby's surgery and explained everything. He did not come back to the hospital after to see him but the Dr's there were fine. We had several follow ups and all is good. This is our experience I'm sorry for those who had different. We are happy with the surgery and results.

While backpacking I began to have ankle pain between my ankle bone and Achilles tendon. I went to…read morean urgent care in Harrisonburg, VA, because I couldn't get an appointment with a podiatrist quickly enough in the Shanandoah Valley, and the NP there said it was plantar fasciitis. I suspected I was misdiagnosed because I had no pain on the sole of my foot. When I was able to return home, I made an appointment with Dr. Smith-Winton because of all the great online reviews. Her office, and all those who work there, deserved every 5-star review, and more. This was probably the best experience at a doctor's office I have ever had. Every person there was kind, friendly, and professional. The appointment was easy to make, once at the office I didn't have to wait more than two minutes, my ankle was x-rayed without my having to ask (something the urgent care place refused to do when I asked, even though they had the capability), and the doctor carefully and patiently listened to me tell my whole story, asked me some questions, and then examined my whole foot thoroughly. She diagnosed me with a ligament sprain, not PF. She revised my physical therapy prescription and gave me instructions on helping my ankle heal. If I ever need any type of foot care, Dr. Smith-Winton will be the only doctor I allow to treat me!
