My loved one had a stroke, & came here for rehabilitation. After almost 5 months, she is still unable to do much for herself because they hardly ever do PT with her. They leave her laying in bed all day & don't help her with her room phone so family can contact her. & now that she has been moved to a hospital for blood transfusions (she never needed those prior), they have found an entire list of illnesses & diseases she didn't have or wasn't told about before. While in their care, with very minimal visitors, she caught COVID, 3 colds, C. Diff, pneumonia, & has an unknown kidney injury. They also never tested her for cancer, which they were told to do from a different hospital, & now it looks like she may have a mass on her spine. The fact that she went into this place fairly healthy, & now has a poor prognosis, shows you just how well they treat their patients. Honestly, more people should be looking into this place for malpractice.

Once in ER work area, I saw approx 6 nurses working on my needs. The charge nurse was on top of everything. I spent 3 days/nights in ICU, where all the staff kept check on me; was moved to regular unit Thurs @ 12-12:30. I honestly could not find anything wrong with the nurses, lab techs, therapists, nor doctors during my stay. I had only 1 complaint and that was the IV needle was too high into my vein (each time I bent my arm, the needle would stab me) - most uncomfortable and painful. Overall, the hospital and staff were great! I would say, the nurses/techs who were assigned to me were special. On cleanliness, after moving to 2nd floor, I actually reported to my husband how clean and buffed-shine the floor was! The food was pretty good too - not mine, but not bad! After coming home on on Friday, I have received 2 follow-up calls: one to rate my experience and one to check my progress and provide information.

One case manager did speak with me and I think only her help got the reimbursement process going. Needless to say, we were not pleased with this center.

I had not experienced that and it is not something I'm a big fan of. Still, the team at ProFlex is very accommodating and helpful so if you have any preferences, just voice them. There aren't enough superlatives to describe the care my husband received at the Adventist…read moreRehabilitation Center in Silver Spring.  Everyone is caring and focused on getting the patient healthy and maintaining a stress free environment so you can focus your energies on healing.  They all work as a team.  Dr. Thorpe, in addition to being an extremely skilled physician, he is thoughtful, caring and attentive. He makes you feel as if you're his only patient taking whatever time is needed to answer any questions and keep you informed of the treatment plans. My husband came to the center unable to walk because of spine surgery and with a diagnosis of a blood disorder.  As a result of Dr. Thorpe's thoroughness, it turned out that there was no blood disorder.  The usual blood tests provided inaccurate results. The physical and occupational therapists were equally caring and skilled. The therapies had him walking and slowly becoming self sufficient. The nursing care cannot be praised enough.They were always responsive to his needs and often checked in just to see how he was doing. Our care navigator, Ms. Enitan Macarthy worked to maintain quality care and made the transition home seamless. We owe a debt of gratitude to the entire staff for getting my husband functioning well enough to come home.

I had been waiting…read moredays to be contacted by her after speaking to multiple of her staff members who i have to say apparently follows the unethical and poor customer coat tail of their lead. Janine, has a lack of respect for clients needs and grew very hostile when i expressed the inadequacy of her staff with properly following up on their clients behalf. I was screamed at and hung up on by Janine without reason. I have a major concern for the safety of the residents there and her behavior should not be condoned or allowed. I would not give even a one star review but was forced to for submission.
