I've been going to PR Family Medicine for the last 10 years. I started off with Mr. Rochester and…read moreafter he left, I've been with Dr. Papoi. My experience with Dr. Papoi has been great. We're pretty close in age and he knows exactly what I'm going through at any given time. He always listens to me and is always caring and wanting to get me well. I've had only 1 time when I needed to see him on the same day (just yesterday) and I was able to get an appointment that day. Anytime he's prescribed something for me, it has worked and worked wonderfully. He has a very pleasant demeanor and sincerely cares about his patients. My experience with the staff/front desk has also been equally pleasant. Whenever I'd call, whether it's for making an appointment or whether I needed a certain record document sent to me, or when asking for a prescription refill, they always provided me service with a smile, always pleasant and friendly on the phone, despite how busy they are. The only reason I'm giving them 4-stars and not 5-stars is due to the wait times. This is something that I, too, can attest to. There's usually a 30-45 min wait AFTER you've been called from the main waiting room into the smaller room where you're going to be seen, having arrived 15 mins prior to the appointment time, as is their policy, so add 15 mins to the 30-45 mins, and you'll have been waiting an hour total sometimes. Sitting in the actual examination room for more than 30 mins seems like an eternity, and there have been multiple visits that ended up being this way, so I'm kind of used to it now. I know that I'm going to have to wait. All in all, I've always had a good experience at PR Family Medicine and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

My adult sons and daughters both still use Miss Kressy (sp?). It's a great practice. And I want to brag on one of their current receptionists that answers the phone: Jasmine. She has been very kind to me on the phone, which is a very rare thing these days in medical offices. The next time I see her I'd like to had her a $50 bill to say thank you! In the mean time, I'll brag about her on Yelp, and tell you how much I appreciate PR Family in Damascus! :) Tom and Sharon

All of my children are treated here and I can't imagine putting their care in the hands of any other doctor or office. His longevity, and the trust he has earned, in this small but "picky" town speaks volumes, and I truly live by the motto "If Wells-Green advised it, we must do it." He is THAT wise and THAT experienced, both as a Pediatrician and as the active parent of children himself, which is evident by his kids' art work and photos on the walls of his office and hallway. My eldest has been a very healthy child all of her life, but my 4 year old and one year old have had more challenges in terms of ear infections, RSV, etc. Through it all, Dr. Wells-Green, Jaime and the rest of the staff have been incredibly responsive and accommodating, and provide so much peace of mind for me as a parent. I almost wish I was under 18 so I could be treated here myself! LOL. If you are here looking for a new pediatrician, even if in the neighboring cities of Germantown and Mount Airy - don't second guess this office. The reviews don't lie - he is such a compassionate, kind, caring man, father and doctor.

My 96 year old father was released from Frederick Health Hospital on 4/3/22. We received a call…read morefrom the hospital on 4/4/22 advising us to consult his Parkview provider regarding two of the prescriptions that he was sent home with from the hospital. I left a message with Parkview for a call back-a nurse returned my call and said that she would forward my message to the provider-two more messages from me and a week later still no call from the provider or even a nurse. My dad is now back in hospital and I reported the issue today after which I received a call back from someone who did not identify her position but told me since my dad is in the hospital I need to work with the hospital on his prescriptions. To which I responded "your a week late in calling me back-My questions are no longer relavent. A week to return a patient message is absolutely unacceptable. The woman responded "Ok, have a nice day." Avoid this practice at all costs!!!

My primary concern, and pretty much the only reason I go to see them, is to get my Imitrex refilled (a non-narcotic migraine medication), which is essential to me being able to function in everyday life, especially work. AND THEY JUST DON'T FILL IT! On time, correctly...sometimes ever. I have had to call daily at times, dealing with their ridiculous hold times, and always receive a 'yes', that it will be filled. And, more than half the time (and that's even when I ride them) it is either never sent, sent incorrectly, or sent to the wrong pharmacy. Oh, and as a side note, I was once waiting for a doctor to give me a paper prescription because of all the screw ups and the doctor even screwed up the paper prescription. As a nurse took the prescription back to get fixed I overheard one of the receptionists mutter "Yeah, I bet you want your pain pills". The idiots not only didn't know Imitrex is NOT a narcotic they berated a patient within earshot. Absolutely despicable.

I was greeted by the very friendly front desk person, Emily, who reviewed my information and told me what to expect for my appointment. Gabby then took me back to an exam room. She was very kind and explained the next steps. Then Chris, the PA, came in. He made me feel very comfortable and at ease which made my appointment much less stressful. I have tried first appointment in the morning, last of the day, right before and after lunch. This has been a problem for the 5+ years I have been a patient. If they cannot handle their volume they should be truthful- I would happily reschedule if you are overbooked. My last appointment was for a potentially serious issue. After 80 minutes (that does not count me being 15 min early), I got the most cursory of physical exams, and a shoulder shrug and a very dismissive line about a now confirmed (by another doctor) serious issue. There is no one there worth putting up with the inefficiencies of this office, and the cavalier attitude I got just sealed that deal. Look elsewhere for routine gyn care.
