His attention to detail is remarkable, he takes the time to do thorough evaluations and makes sure every step of the treatment plan is done properly. This is my second course of physical therapy with him. The first time was very successful, and for the second round I was so committed to having Carmelo as my therapist again that I waited a month just to make sure I could work with him. That alone says a lot about the quality of care he provides. As a healthcare provider myself, I can recognize the difference between average and truly exceptional care. Carmelo absolutely delivers high-quality, patient-focused therapy. If you're looking for someone who genuinely cares about your progress and well-being, I highly recommend him. Lastly, I can say all of the physical therapy technicians here are also professional, kind, and always supportive, which makes the entire experience smooth and encouraging.

Dr. Mathur was very kind. He listened to my mother's issues, did a thorough examination and recommend an in office X-ray and a MRI. This visit was on 2/17. In that visit he said that he would reach out with the MRI results. The MRI was done on 2/18 and the results were available via the Advanced Radiology website on 2/20. I expected to hear from the doctor no later than Monday. I sent a portal message on 2/19 to make sure the doctor's office contacted me directly. When I didn't hear back, I called the office on 2/25, and I was told there was no portal message (even though I was looking at it). I was informed that it may have gone to the incorrect department. Why a practice wouldn't forward my message to the correct department I cannot say... I guess it "wasn't their job". We all know that excuse provided regularly by the younger generation. I was told on that phone call, that the doctor would call. It is now 2/27 and still no call. So, I went into the portal again to send another message and noticed that I could see the chart note. I saw at the end of the note "follow up in 1 week for MRI results". First of all, the doctor said he would call. Second, when I was on the phone with the office on 2/25, why didn't she tell me that I needed to schedule an appointment? I work for a group of Rheumatologists and we would never simply ignore a patient, nor would we ask them to come back for results. I can read the results on the Radiology report. What I would expect is a phone call with a treatment plan and then schedule the appointment to begin treatment. I am going to move forward with a different orthopedic practice. Before I experienced the above, based on my initial experience, I recommended Dr. Mathur to an elderly work associate with a severe back issue. She got the run around as well, so clearly, this is the standard of patient care that Potomac Valley Orthopedic feels is acceptable.

I spent 15 minutes on the phone given the answering service all my information my Workmen's Comp. claim number the approval for an orthopedic and everything yet to this day four days later I've still have not received a phone call back! I called them back and they sarcastically informed me they only except referrals from doctors offices!! First of all in the state of Maryland you're allowed to choose your own doctor with a Workmen's Comp case and make your own appointments . It's Maryland law !!! you're not required to let the doctor do them things it is your civil right in the state of Maryland if you have a referral you can call that doctor and set up your own appointment. You do not have to be at the mercy of your previous doctor to send referrals and approvals to a doctor. But this is how this doctor operates violating your civil rights bye only excepting referrals from doctors offices and not individuals. It's a form of discrimination!!! Not only that it violates your civil rights!!!! Why in the world would you want to use a Doctor Who so arrogant that he won't even return patient's phone calls and has an answering service taking all these phone calls so they can screen their calls. People that's a doctor you can't trust!!! It's a Doctor Who has no empathy and does not care about you as an individual. It's a Doctor Who has ignored the oath he took!!!!! Wait times were always reasonable and I never had problems with billing or any other hassles like that. Dr. Dreese himself seemed like a nice guy. He took the time to explain my injury to me and was happy to answer any questions that I had. The support staff (x-ray techs, nurses, etc) were all very courteous and professional. Thankfully I didn't need surgery so I didn't get the "full experience" so to speak.

PLEASE make an appointment to see Dr. Francis Jung at Columbia Physical Therapy In Motion. *EVERY* session you will get 45 minutes of dedicated time with him. No interns. No down time. Just one-on-one time with an incredible physical therapist. I met Dr Jung after 2.5 years in pain (about 14 months of severe sciatic pain) that left me with pain-based scoliosis. Standing or walking for more than 15-30 seconds was incredibly painful and I couldn't stand up straight. Had seen 3 physical therapists and 3 chiropractors over those 2.5 years and none knew what to make of my issue after several months of treatment. Dr. Jung was kind enough to call me on his own time after work one evening and assured me his experiences could likely assist. He was still used a lecturer style of presenting your condition but I appreciated because it was informative. On my second visit which was during the pandemic, he was chastising for not being diligent in my foot care, which I thought was odd given the fact that I don't wear my outdoor shoes inside and he never mentioned that I had a ankle issue. Sadly to emphasize his point the need to stabilize the ankle he actually pressed into my inflamed ankle to the point I was in tears and reaching for him to move his hand. Only went to him a third time last year because I rather sick with the devil I know than deal with a whole new asshole. This time it was worse. He was even more uncaring, methodical and distant than the last time. I seen this guy twice before and he treated me as a new patient so much he wanted to see orthopedics would be a good option for me but he recommended orthopedics which I got on my last visit. So I had to visit his office twice, pay two copays ($80 total) and the $120 for new orthopedic. The only redeeming thing about his office is Kim who is an amazing administrator and receptionist. I definitely follow her if she went to a new office.
