Amazing services This is the first time I have been tp physical therapy for myself amd scheduled it for myself as an adult. I was kind of concerned because I had never heard of this place before but my worries quickly dissipated after I walked into the clinic. The techs were so wonderful and kind plus they ensured I was able to get all of the paperwork done far in advance to the appointment so I didn't have to rush when I came for my first visit. The therapists were wonderful. Very attentive amd knowledgable. I had the pleasure of working with Beth and Feliks and they were both delightful. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Day and her incredible staff. I have seen her for pelvic floor issues and for back and neck pain, with stellar results. Everyone else I've been to has told me to "just to kegels", however Dr. Day spends the time to figure out other areas of weakness that are contributing to the overall problem. She was the only physical therapist that checked how I breathe in order to discover that my pelvic floor issues had nothing to do with strength, but actually were due to my rib cage compressing my diaphram and not allowing me to breathe properly. She made some adjustments, helped to to re-learn how to belly breathe and my problem was almost completely solved! Nobody else would have done that. Seriously, nobody. Sometimes weakness in one area is due to something that needs adjustment or strengthening upstream of that. I can't say enough how pleased and amazed that she figured this out (and saved me the frustration of doing hours of kegels every day with no improvement). Her staff is very nice, the facility is clean, privacy is respected. I can't imagine anything else you'd need! read more

Ok, so the lack of a star is simply because they told me I was completely good when I tried to pay in the office, that my insurance had covered everything, and then they sent me a bill. Felt shady. However, that could be because I've had experiences in NOVA where medical facilities like imaging centers have insisted that I pay in the office, in case the insurance didn't, and then I had to spend two weeks trying to get my money back when my insurance paid 100%. I don't like getting bad info at the front desk. If you don't know, say you don't know. Don't tell me I'm good and then freaking send me a bill. Ok, incompetence of the front desk notwithstanding, the physical therapist was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, very matter of fact, no funny business or malarkey whatsoever. I would highly recommend this place as long as you understand that the front desk is most likely just guessing and probably has no idea. They're not the important people, anyway. I'll take bad front desk and great therapist over vice versa any day. read more

Truly a wonderful experience. The amount of care you'll receive from the front desk, your doctor, even the other doctors is so comforting especially since you are coming there because you are in some sort of pain and need to be comforted. Every single appointment I had, I left feeling better and better (both mentally and physically). Great physical therapists, incredibly fun and attentive staff, lots of sunlight in the office, cheery atmosphere. More importantly, I've seen them for a sundry of issues from my days as an athlete. They've worked on almost every part of my body and I have my friends, mom, dad, and soon wife going to them. Never had any recurrences after discharge, unless I've reinjured myself. I recently completed a almost 4 months rehabilitation from a Heel injury with Dr. Day and would highly recommend her to others. In addition to her professional acumen, she's fun and a good person. she focused not only on developing a protocol appropriate to strengthen the injured heel, but also to try to determine the body movement patterns that caused the injury. Over the several months Dr. Day explained all the steps in the process; explained the reason for every exercise; and, made adjustments along the way based on my actual progress. She was always focused and attentive during every session. I feel that through her instruction that I actually have better command of my body movement than I did before the injury. Sarah, K/Caitlin, Jessica, Ashley and Finally Zack are an awesome team of dedicated professionals. I am extremely grateful for their compassionate care and hard work. I have been to several Physical Therapists before for my knee injury and it always seemed like nobody knew how to help me even when I had the MRI diagnosis. When I went in for my first appointment with Angie and Abbie they gave me a FULL BODY ANALYSIS. ALSO Tammy! They were amazing. They literally tested every single part of me to see what needed improvement and discussed my treatment options. I have been going for a month now about twice a week and have received significant comprehensive treatment (taping, ice/heat, exercises, electric therapy) the works! I have really seen an improvement and I really don't know how to thank this place enough. My work requires a lot of physical activity. I bend, reach, climb, walk for long hours at times run. I'm an a/c heating specialist and I do HVAC maintenance and air duct cleaning. I consulted day regarding my daily muscle aches and pains and she was very helpful in giving advise as how to how I can avoid injuries especially for my low back. Couldn't move my neck but after seeing her for a couple of months, I am pain free! She is patient, thorough and always available for questions. Day is an amazing and highly effective Physical Therapist. She fosters an environment of positivity, caring and is truly patient focused. You don't feel like just another patient but part of Beat PT family. Not happy at all. The first experience I had entailed me showing up late. I understand policy but, I was with in the timeframe that they could've at least gotten my evaluation in. I had trouble locating the place so it set me behind. A normal session at this location is 40 minutes. I can tell you in all my therapy experiences I have always had sessions well over an hour. For anyone who goes here and has not had much therapy before. You should know that a typical session At most physical therapy places lasts over an hour. It usually Entails some form of ultrasound, electric stimulation with moist heat or cold therapy if you are inflamed. Then the physical therapist should administer some form of a manipulation, cross fiber friction, techniques related to Massage and not usually trigger therapy which is what I received. The first day I arrive that they did not take me, I understand I was late and told I would have to wait until the next time. The next time came and when I arrived the receptionist was not at the desk and when she did come back it still took a while before I saw my therapist. It was the same amount of time that I was late the time prior but, because it was them they of course still took me. Which case inpoint tells me that they could have fit me in when I came in for my first eval the time prior. I was then evaluated this time and he did some trigger point therapy at the end which just gave me a headache, it did not help in anyway to alleviate my jaw pain. I thought well next time he will do better and hopefully do some ultrasound and electric stim with heat. When I came back the second time I again was given trigger therapy, he showed me how to tilt my head side to side for a stretch which I already do and then proceeded to tell me that they do not do ultrasound and feel it has no benefits. I can tell you from a person who has fibromyalgia and Graves' disease ultrasound does help and is a way to relax the muscles before you do any stretching or exercises. I suggested electric stim and moist heat. We did that and when we were done I asked him if he knew how to do cross fiber fiction or some strain counterstrain and he said yes but our session is now done we are out of time. I was like what did I just pay for. Now mind you I am a massage therapist myself. I am very versed in getting therapy and giving therapy. So I am writing this review not so much as to blast these people. I just want you to be aware of what you are embarking upon when you go into a therapy place who finds it OK to do only 40 minutes in a session because the insurance only covers so much. I have been at other therapy practices were even that being the case most people were seen for an hour and a half on a typical day and during that hour and a half they received everything From ultrasound, to manual work by the therapist to electric stim with heat and the exercises needed to strengthen the area. I may have had a new therapist Charlie who wasn't sure of his skills yet or Just wasn't sure how to approach helping my case. This is a new practice had only been around for two years so I would be leery. Some practices even at the beginning start off on great footing with great therapists and it is not an issue. In this case I cannot be so sure. I only see glowing five star reviews on here and I must question how true they are when I had the experience that I did. In closing I feel I wasted two of my therapy appointments that my insurance allows for in a year. The thing that brought Me to write this review the most was they sent me a bill for $20 for a co-pay that I am certain I paid on both of my visits. I purposely save my receipts because I paid in cash and sure enough they must not have marked it correctly in the books and they were trying to charge me still another $20. That is when I also looked over the bill to see what they were charging my insurance for and I absolutely feel they were overcharging for things that they barely did or did not do it all. Hopefully, others will learn from this. Ask questions, look over your receipts, hold onto your receipts and question what they do and how long they do it for and how involved they are with you getting well. read more

Highly recommended! I recently injured my neck and back in a car accident and am extremely pleased with the improvement I've made since first meeting with Day about a month ago. The whole staff at BEAT is very friendly and has an upbeat attitude which I appreciated very much. Day is very knowledgable and not only helped pinpoint and treat the source of my pain, but has taught me several exercises, stretches and overall lifestyle changes that I can work on at home and throughout the work day to continue my improvement. After a few sessions of PT, Day recommended the option of dry needling to help relieve some of the tension in my upper back muscles. Dry needling was something I knew very little about (and I don't really like needles), but she did a great job explaining the details to me and putting my mind at ease.
