They will not tell you what to make up when absent and I get that you can check google classroom and the agenda but some things we do in class aren't online so when your grade drops you have no idea what you need to make up and turn in. Teachers are nice don't get me wrong but some can be really frustrating. Kids are...kids nothing much I can say about that. They are immature as expected for middle school. I've never had any problems with administration as they have been really nice. The counselors are very nice as well I love Mrs. O'Connor and Mrs. Briening (I probably spelled it wrong) they always let me heat up my lunch and as for Mr.Vega I never really talked to him so idk but he seems like a nice guy. There have been 3 fights at the school from the years I have been there; 2023-2026 but one was at the town square near Albertsons so not many if you think about it. Overall good education and there has been some fun memories made from school trips and etc.

Mr emmons is an amazing teacher and human he deserves a raise he dosent have favorites and to calm kids down he just does a silent 5 and his students are calm Unlike Ms Connor's ugly hoe teacher

Sending our kids to Valley Christian School when they entered Middle School was one of the best…read moredecisions we've ever made as Parents. The only regret we have is not starting them there in Kindergarten. At Valley, our kids weren't just taught, they were Seen, Known, and Cared for. They were held accountable not only in their Academics, but in their Behavior and Values. The school helped shape them into kind, grounded young people who know who they are and what they stand for. What my Kids learned at Valley not only prepared them for high school, but also set their foundation as they grow into young adults. Our daughter, now a junior in high school, has carried the discipline and strong foundation she gained at VCS and continues to earn straight A's. She still stays close with the school, like I've noticed many former students do. That tells me a lot. Our Son, who graduated last week, came in as a quiet, average student who didn't have much confidence. Today, he's a straight A student and athlete. The basketball games are a lot of fun and I will miss them!! Most importantly, he's developed a very strong core value set and is confident, motivated, and ready for high school. As a parent, I could not ask for anything more. Mrs. Palm, the principal, is truly one of the most God-honoring women we've ever met. Her love for the students is real, and you can feel it in the way she leads...with strength, grace, and Deep Faith. She's not just a Principal; she's a Mom who treats the kids at her School like one of her own. The Teachers and Faculty have also been a tremendous blessing to our family. There's no way to fully describe the love and guidance our kids have received at Valley Christian. It's not something you see every day. VCS is much more than a school, it's a Family. We made an investment when we chose VCS, but God has returned it tenfold. He used this school to bless our family in ways we never expected and ways that exceed any monetary value. Thank you VCS, we are so grateful. Five stars ***** without question. Go Lions!

After having been repeatedly bullied by peers at the public school, and ignored by the administration there, VCS became his new home in seventh grade. He was immediately accepted and loved and was given an environment where he could grow and mature and learn and thrive. Thank you to all the teachers and staff... and a special shout-out to the awesome basketball coach, who is also the amazing principal's husband and school caretaker. VCS is a great school!

The school should be a model for all other schools…read more We just moved here after having a pretty tragic experience at our elementary school in Vegas. My son has vision challenges, and they adamantly refused to do anything, beyond pressure me to medicate him so he would "focus more." Great solution for blindness. ‍ After nearly 2 years of begging for help and watching my son fall further behind, his father and I decided to move to an area that's known for better schools. We would have been grateful for any school that would help even a little bit. But instead, imagine our surprise when we land at Carrillo Elementary, where they have done more for our son in the first week, than the previous school did in two years. The communication is absolutely outstanding. The teachers and staff catch the slightest details and take action to remedy issues. For example, my son started breaking up crayons at his desk. Which principle noticed and made a note to get a fidget sensory tool for him. Since he's very active, she also suggested an exercise band for his seat. What a difference from anything we have remotely experienced. The school honestly makes me so happy, I can tear up just thinking about it. Just knowing how eager they are to help, and how much they care about each and every student, it's a beautiful thing we will never take for granted.

We have major problems with the parking, or lack thereof. And expanding the school to fit more students (and thus less parking) doesn't make a whole lot of sense. But these are educators after all, so they must know something we parents don't.
