I encountered an issue when my septic system was blocked and backed up into my basement…read more LaPierre's was one of the only companies I could find in the local area that would pick up their phone after hours, and could actually give me some straight answers. I wasn't sure if I had access to the tank due to ice, and this is the only company that assured me if I had the lid handle exposed we could get to it. I requested to know how much it would cost for an after hours call (Saturday), expecting the price to be near double normal rate, to which the operator responded "an extra $25". When the problem turned out to be more severe than initially expected, the responding technician would not accept any payment, despite the 30+ minutes he attempted to clear the obstruction with the regular pump truck and metal bar. The responding technician offered to come out the next day (Sunday), despite the fact that his wife was actively going in to labor. I politely declined and requested we schedule for Monday instead, due to his situation. He showed up with more advanced equipment first thing Monday morning, and had the problem resolved within an hour. In addition to quickly repairing the problem, the technician took the time to explain the intricate workings of the system, proper maintenance, and steps I can try to take on my own to correct an issue before calling someone (This instance was severe, I would not have been able to correct without a professional). Excellent experience, and I hope that I can find a similar company for all my home needs.

In an afternoon, two people dug the line, with a small back hoe, replaced the pipe and used a load of sand, removing the junk off my property. They then seeded it. The invoice was very fair.

For anyone who knows anything about police-work, knows that order-ins are non-negotiable. Since my husband got notified of his order-in after Taylor Rental had closed for the weekend, I wasn't able to call them until first thing Monday morning to explain the situation that we were in. I was home alone with a 1-year-old that day, with no truck or trailer to get the tables and chairs back by myself. I explained this to the management and said that my husband could bring them back first thing Tuesday morning. Instead of being understanding, they chose to charge us $54 (half of the total rental price) for bringing the items back just 12 hours late, due to circumstances completely out of our control. If it had been a weekend day, I'd be more understating as a customer, but it was a Tuesday. They did not need those items. This was just a quick & easy way for them to make $50. They said this is "policy". I work in government contracting, and there is always an exception to any policy- It's called humanity and Taylor Rental does not have any. As a loyal customer for 2 years, I won't be going back. There are so many rental options out there nowadays- Save your money and go somewhere with better and nicer management.

Instead of focusing on the gallons of water flooding the basement, they pressure me into signing a contract for all restoration work. Don't need to get into the details, but it was a strongly worded non-consumer friendly contract. Then it is apparent that one of the workers doesnt know how to use the broken sump pump they brought over. And even worse, he is inebreiated and REEKS of alcohol. I asked them to leave. I got 3 estimates to remove mold in our attic. One was $1,875 the second was $1,683 and NE Remediation Services was over $8000 ! Somethings wrong there for sure ! The woman that came really did not seem knowledgeable. There was no explanation of what they were going to do or how . She didn't even walk around the outside of the house and in her report she said we had no sofit vents. WRONG ! We certainly do. They may do good work but we certainly will never know. For a $6,000 difference I would definately not recommend them.
